Pine Needle Basket - The Ti Stitch

Another thing I like to make is baskets. I've tried all sorts of different basket-making techniques and in this video I am working on a pine needle basket and showing how I make the Ti Stitch. I am using linen string to make the stitches.

That is such a beautiful stitch for your pine basket!
I collected a bundle of long pine needles, many moons ago, and have been wanting to make a basket from them…maybe some earrings, as well.
You have inspired me to have a go…after I finish the Star Stitch Bag designed by you. The hardware came in, yesterday. ☺💕

@@11Frivole I was looking for tatting how-to videos to refresh my memory. It’s been about 10+ years and decided to pick it up again. So like any sensible person🙃, I started back up on a handkerchief edging using two shuttles that I was in the middle of. Of course, I hardly remembered how to do the knot. With the help of your videos I’m back up and running. Thank you.

I'm glad I found your videos again...I was interested in the tatting but it's so old there are no annotations or sound as to how you are doing it. I learned to tat 65 years ago. From my grandmother...but it fell by the wayside and I am encouraged to pick it up again then I saw this video.. very interesting especially since I am surrounded by long leaf pines. More videos please you are so talented
