I got a pair of Lincoln boots in black with the mini Lug soles size 10 regular D width about a week ago, I'm still in the break in process but it's MY fault that I didn't use the sizing guide before I placed my order, and I think I should've got the next width up since these feel miserable right now. I had to take the black removable pad on the inside to wear these and start the break in process, I also used Saphir Oiled leather conditioner to soften the leather a bit. A few days into wearing them in I can feel them stretching a bit and getting more comfortable. It is MY fault I didn't use the sizing guide, please don't make the same mistake as me.
Hi Devonreviewer, im in Exeter myself and not looking forward to another lockdown ..anyway love the Bisons and the Boondockers ,can you tell me how much room in the toebox on both?my Beckmans and Iron rangers are a tad too narrow for my feet on the 8 last and was hoping these may be roomier thanks.
Both boots look like they are well made. With the pull up effect of the Bison boot leather, I would assume they are using Chromexcel leather, perhaps from Horween Tannery in Chicago? Do you happen to know the origin of the leather? Very nice review, and I’m looking forward to your review after wearing the boots for a month or so. There is another review on YT of this brand and the outer sole became detached on two pair of them. Perhaps they have changes the way they attach the sole.
Do they fit like other shoes???? I normally wear a US size 8 in sneakers. Should i go for size 8 or 7.5? I bought Red wing iron rangers and i went 1 size down because 8 did not fit.
Since the boots don't have a waterproof membrane I highly recommend you using a wax based waterproofing product on the leather. In the states we have one called Snow Seal. The wax melts into the leather conditioning it and also making it waterproof.
Please have a look at the British brand, William Lennon, family run since 1899 107f field boot. A wonderful company who stitch the sole of their boot with copper wire. They have many different styles but this is probably the most rugged but when you look at what variations they have to offer you start trying to justify one more pair :-)
Everything Origin makes is made in the USA. He's building his business and employing US workers. That mindset is why I love Origin and why I support the company.
Nice initial review. I've had my eye on the Bison with the lug sole but haven't seen any pictures of them besides the rendering on the website. Look good. I'm a little dubious about the stitchdown/cement construction. Curious how they'll hold up.

Never heard of the company, but I really like the background in MMA/jiu jitsu. MMA is the only sport I really watch these days (pretty much every weekend) other than when the World Cup rolls around. So hard to count that as a sport I watch. Good video as always, I always appreciate these detailed reviews.

All I get is an email every few weeks saying about how they are having staffing issue r/t covid. I get it but damn. I'm going to have to buy a cheap pair of boots to wear until these come in
You should check out the bison hat from American Hat makers in California. It's my hands down favorite hat... The leather is just fantastic. So soft and flexible. The crown is so flexible that you can size down and get a perfect fit. Most of my AHM hats are XXL but my bison Is XL and fits perfect. My new favorite channel? Possibly! Thanks!
Hold your enthusiasm, seams Origin has "Redesigned" the Coronado boot, the new ones are not the same as in this video, if removing the pull tab (1.5 inch of leather) is a "redesign" makes me wonder what other "cost saving" measure they took. Buyer beware

I wonder if the fact that these are 100% USA made makes them almost $400. Because, with all of the synthetic materials used in the sole, these should not be that much.
Did you see they 6 month review? I guess we must be at the 12 month mark now, after doing the 6 month side by side review with the DMs they havent had a huge amount to wear. I spent quite a lot of time in the Solovair Brogues instead.
The boot is not very strong. The styling is good 8 out of ten. Quality is max 6 out of 10 They know how to make jeans but are beginners at footwear. With time and the right people footwear would be better maybe

Thanks for watching, as far as I can see the the toe box is stitch down construction, and the rear has internal stitching as well as being glued down.

You should check out the bison hat from American Hat makers in California. It's my hands down favorite hat... The leather is just fantastic. So soft and flexible.
