The Ozark Music Shoppe is a show hosted by three brothers, John, Jeremy & Jason Chapman from the award-winning Bluegrass group, The Chapmans, who now own a music store in Springfield, MO. Weekly, acoustic music acts stop by and visit with the Chapman brothers and play a few tunes. The show also features interviews, tips, and a behind the scene look into the music business.

Just wish it was mic'd & mixed properly, I'd do anything to be let into that room with these guys, on this song, and a bunch of my mics to fully capture all the awesomeness going on there :(
@@horizonevents2223 I mean, it's in a music store so the acoustics aren't going to be that great. And you can tell the audio levels are completely off as Ellen gets drowned out in parts of the song and her voice gets distorted at one part. And you're mixing all instruments/vocals not individually which could have something to do with the mixing. Oh and they're using one mic so the mixing is obviously not going to be top notch to be honest.
@@imtherealone.6268 Sure, it wouldn't be studio acoustics, but if you use the right mics and place them correctly, you can get a good sound anywhere, just check The Dead Souths live performance of Black Lung in that ruin, I bet you the acoustics weren't great there, but the micing and mixing was done right ;)
Obciously you cannot change any individual parts on this recording as you simply have a mono recording, that's why I said this setup with the same musicians should be done with proper microphoning :p

One of my favorite songs performed by The Petersens. Ellen's voice and versatility stands out wonderfully. Love it when the Dobro and bass kick in at the same time with all of the other instruments. Gives the song a real punch. Plus it just looks like they are having a great time doing this song.
