Do you think characters like Jess and Kyle are more difficult to adapt accurately because their origins are closely tied to specific events in the comics? Emerald Twilight and the Darkseid War ( with the Ring of Volthoom stuff specifically) Kyle barely ever appears outside the comics and even the most accurate portrayal of Jessica ( JL vs Fatel Five) doesn't really make sense without her getting the Volthoom ring first
I agree Kyle, like Richard Rider Nova did should return to Earth, that was one of the reasons I loved Nova post Annihilation as he had to not only deal with the fallout of Civil War and the changes with the New Warriors, but also his PTSD from the Annihilation Wave, id love if Kyle went through something similar. Id read that comic. Especially if it has anything to do with the repercussions of his dealings with the Omega Men.

I have a question, would you like the emotional entity’s to return, or new ones to be born, I would prefer if they returned because I liked them and I think that I would be cool if they were given actual personality, because the only one that had any was parallax(and maybe the orange one who’s name I forgot) and if they did return, who would you like them to bond to for example h always thought job should bond with Hal it would be interesting to see him be like the opposite of parallax but just for a fight or something then I would prefer if they brought sodas yay back to become ION again, and for the other ones I feel like the other corps should have their entities in members who don’t get much love, or the people from brightest day, except parallax and the orange snake they should be in the central batteries of their corp as a break glass in case of emergency type entity, what do you think?

Im currently starting from the very beginning and im excited for the journey, even if the Golden Age will be a slow-go. My simple question relates to how I recently got into Green Lantern content. Have you read/listened to the novelizations/Graphic Audio titles? (GL: Sleepers and GL: Hero’s Quest). I’d love to know your thoughts on them. Graphic Audio doesn’t do DC content anymore but Ive really enjoyed all that I’ve listened to and the characterizations/voicing of Alan, Hal, and Kyle are really well done with Guy and John tossed in from time to time. I’d recommend them to any GL/DC/Justice League fans.
Not an in-universe question but you like to see more non-human GL’s get the spotlight? I feel the human character’s are all interesting in their own way but I feel this untapped potential in exploring different alien cultures in DC.

During blackest night, it looked like Ray Palmer could still feel his own emotions and even seemed to channel off them. John Stewart also seemed to be mostly unaffected by the indigo ring. I personally would love to see the indigo tribe come back and recruit a human BECAUSE of compassion, not the lack of it

Here's a question I think is interesting: If you could have any Lantern character or characters, from any of the corps, interact with any character from outside of DC Comics, who would they be and why? I would love to see a one shot where the Indigo Tribe tries to forcibly recruit the Silver Surfer for his involvment in the deaths of countless worlds, with Surfer questioning if joining the Indigo Tribe is the right way to repent for his actions as a herald of Galactus. Heck, you could expand the concept to include Surfer fighting a Red Lantern, who joined the core out of rage over Surfer leading Galactus to their planet, or a yellow ring attempting to recruit Surfer because of how feared he is throughout the universe as a sign of the world eater's inevitable arrival.

What ideas do you have for something similar and who would you like to see write and draw on this anthology. I’d love to see Tom King do more lantern stories. Also, I’d love a mini-series delve into the Indigo Lanterns. The hook would be that they only speak in there language and the story is told implicitly through the art. I really believe you would love his trilogy of books, if you can find them i highly recommend the audiobooks First book is about Kyle Rayner, second about Allan Scott and the final about hall as spectre at first and as ....... Those books are amazing with references to the entire history til the point the story is Also speaking of Christopher Priest i also recommend his black panther run aka (in my opinion) the best run and maybe (in my opinion) may be the best ongoing comic ,there are the complete collection and an omnibus coming out

What’s your opinion on GL’s never having a sidekick? We know that children can be chosen as GL yet we haven’t seen one from earth. Especially when in Teen Titans and Young Justice there’s been a Robin, Superboy/girl, Wonder Girl and Kid Flash and sometimes Aqualad on the team in someway or existing in the era but GL seems to be left out. We’ve gotten a Teen Lantern recently but would you have liked to see a teen lantern grow up along side Dick Grayson and Wally West? And Would you like to see one grow up along side Damien Wayne, Jon Kent, Wallace West and Jackson Hyde? I think if DC came up with the idea for Kyle Rayner when other DC heroes we’re getting sidekicks he would be better on the titans now.

It seems that all the human lanterns just protect earth these days Also if you had it your way how many planets should be in a single sector that a green lantern protects?Personally I've always had the opinion that a single sector should be 1 solar system (1 sun orbited by a bunch of planets) the idea that 2 lanterns should protect 138 inhabited planets was always unrealistic to me.
So as a follow up to my previous question can you explain when hal lost his pure will form because he done it on command 3 times one to show saronik nato one to destroy war world and one to beat the Darkstars and eliminate there armor so it clearly wasn't a one time thing he just seems to have lost it also if you had to leave 4 earth lanterns who would they be? Mine would ve hal, john, kyle, and guy because I feel like they still have a lot of good stories to tell dc just needs to let characters develop rather than keep the status que.

It’s what you do with that and the writers that makes it a hit or as you say, a copy of old story beats and etc. I have hope the future will somehow correct some of the recent events and go back to the earlier status quo but who knows.
@@AtomizedSound you may be right, but for me as a person who would've preferred a more star trek view of the GLC as being an anything/everything goes franchise that played with all kinds of concept, the emotional thing always feels like we'd get someone always going "with the power of love I can overcome your fear" or "avarice is the only true constant in the universe so I'm more powerful then you " heck the fact that every GL has to make a point to talk about Willpower overcoming something is so annoying to me. I get it...you use willpower but not ever situations is a struggle of wills sometimes it can be a philosophical thing of a difference in world view seeing as you interact with alians who have vastly different principles then you etc. Just looking at what was done in the tales of the GLC stories and what we get now I always feel we never get true sci-fi stories anymore

@@AtomizedSound nope, all this emotion bullshit has taken the real fun out of the concept. People can't even imagine anything but the desire to copy old tired story beats from a decade and a half ago
@@akhonaluthuli5931 that’s just poor writers and not the concept itself. I think the emotional spectrum enhances the lore of the GLC mythos. It’s what you do with that and the writers that makes it a hit or as you say, a copy of old story beats and etc. I have hope the future will somehow correct some of the recent events and go back to the earlier status quo but who knows.
@@AtomizedSound you may be right, but for me as a person who would've preferred a more star trek view of the GLC as being an anything/everything goes franchise that played with all kinds of concept, the emotional thing always feels like we'd get someone always going "with the power of love I can overcome your fear" or "avarice is the only true constant in the universe so I'm more powerful then you " heck the fact that every GL has to make a point to talk about Willpower overcoming something is so annoying to me. I get it...you use willpower but not ever situations is a struggle of wills sometimes it can be a philosophical thing of a difference in world view seeing as you interact with alians who have vastly different principles then you etc.
Just looking at what was done in the tales of the GLC stories and what we get now I always feel we never get true sci-fi stories anymore
@@akhonaluthuli5931 I think you will love the Far Sector comic. It deals with more philosophical, political and sci-fi elements in an alien world with a Green Lantern as a protagonist.
