I agree with you 💯. I can not find any excitement in watching golf now. I just watch the highlights to see who won, and still, that’s just it. I used to spend Sundays watching the whole nine yards whenever he was playing, winning or not. The excitement and the vibe were so different because he always had an extra gear, when needed.

@@federationspace5264 I had a similar chat with a mate on the course a few months back. It's a tough one. Peak Tiger Woods who had no surgeries would still be a force in the current crop of players. But I couldn't see him doing the Tiger Slam in the current era. I mean, Rocco Mediate almost won a Major in Tiger's era. A player like that wouldn't make the cut in any major these days.

The most complete golfer of all time. Had all the shots when needed and even when not on his A game could still grind out wins including majors. Golf just isn't the same without Tiger out there, he was just impossible not to watch as he could do anything with the golf ball. It's such a pity he had the car crash as I am absolutely certain he had more wins in him but absolutely nothing can be taken away from his unbelievable legacy. I think the distance difference would be smaller than you think, like maybe 10-15 yards on average. There is a paradox with larger club heads and that is it increases drag, reducing clubhead speed. Also exercise science and nutrition have evolved significantly and pretty much every golfer these days is doing highly specified training for speed.
