Because of their double coat, huskies rolling in snow doesn't make them feel cold. Snow is more air than water, so it acts like insulation. While their coat has water repellant properties, so their skin wont get wet when it melts. In short this is what they r built 4.

also our double coated Mioritic does the same, every time he encounters snow. I think it is a way for them to clean their coat and they love it.

Yup, and he also does that in summer on the grass, it’s like he found his favourite scent and starts rolling on it 😅

That's Absolutely beautiful. Imagine if you had a second malamute? They'd be termaring up rhe yard and really having a ball.

We do shower him and he still does it, I believe he does that to clean himself
