Renting in south florida right now is so ridiculously expensive. I’m a soflo native, it’s insane what these units cost now compared to how cheap it used to be to live down here.
Funny thing is I stay at PL too in a studio on the 37th.. The prices are getting crazy tbh but for the location and the amenities we get this is the best place to be. I like how you're transparent.
it is crazy how much rent goes for down there and the apartments are sooo small. there would have to be a lot of stuff to do down there in order to put up with such a small place. i wonder how the sound is in the apartments down there. in charlotte, some of these apartments have the worse sound reduction. i pay around 1600 and have a one bedroom in a nice part of town but there isn't much to do besides breweries
my husband and I were considering that fort Lauderdale one too ahhh but the commute- I feel you so hard, so weird to watch a video after I just finished hunting in may haha
How I feel bout nyc it’s hectic and you can’t start looking unless you moving like 2/3 weeks before. But nyc messes up your perception of rent cause $2.5k is a dream to find in a good location
Apts here in South Florida used to be cheap from 700.00. Over priced and outdated apts. Over crowed. So many people are moving out of the country to apts for 400.00 to 700.00. They're saving their money.

I live in Miami my family actually cannot find a 3 bedroom apartment that’s not a bajillion dollars
