    Before I started I washed my hands with plenty of soap to remove as much of the oil as possible. This came in handy when I had to swipe away a couple pieces of lint (even after using the cloth) without leaving behind fingerprints before applying the glass.

    LMAO, I love how they went for a “Nintendo Direct” vibe with this video, and then suddenly the narrator is like “we gave you 2 pieces…just in case you f*ck up on your first try :)”

    The hardest part is to find this "dust-proof environment ".

      Install it in the bathroom after taking a shower or just running the shower on hot for a few minutes. The moisture in the air will drag any airborne dust to the floor, then as long as you clean the screen well before you install the glass, you're golden.

      It will *supposedly* drag all the dust down. Try living in the middle of the U.S. I have to not only clean the screen, but also the back of the protector. And remove the back before even trying to apply it, because dust does not care how humid it is, it will stick to the plastic.

      @@kerrybarneyiii1202 There should be two films on the glass that will be removed and thrown away anyway. All you have to do is take a hot shower, clean the screen with a microfiber cloth, remove both films to reveal a perfectly clean glass and stick it on

    For the love of God, I could not stop wiping away at dust. Every little speck came another speck. The fiber cloth caught the dust and introduced new ones. I saw another comment saying you should take a hot shower first and do this process in the bathroom to let steam drag down dust. s c i e n c e
    Overall, good product. Don’t be picky, just apply it. Also, don’t use the DBRAND skull-shaped sticker to pick up dust unless you want to wipe away at more marks.

    Bubbles formed on the left side after I let the protector gently drop… but firm pressure with the microfibre cloth, gently pushing the bubbles towards the edge, eliminated them. Looks perfect, just like the one on my OG Switch. Thanks dbrand 😊

      If you use the video for the original switch when applying the oled screen protector it will be applied the wrong way around (adhesive side up)
      Good thing they give you 2 protectors just in case you f up..

    The pull tab just tore off from the back plastic, leaving me to improvise a method to get it off. Managed to mess up the corner of the first glass trying to do it.
    I thought no problem, that's what we have two for, let's try again. The second tab tore off just the same, despite being careful with it after the first experience. Managed to separate the back plastic successfully this time around.
    Placing the glass initially left a rather large number of bubbles, but most of them could be nudged away, not all though, rather annoyingly.
    Furthermore the yellow tab managed to at least partially lift the recently applied brand new skin from the front. I was able to stick it back, but still, you are probably better off applying the glass first.

    Is it safe to remove the tempered glass if you stuffed up the first time? Is there any risk that it might pull up the anti-shatter film underneath it?

    I had bubbles both tries, second try I had to lift it back up and let the bubble out, I followed the instructions to a T very carefully, It is now on without bubbles but 2 tries with bubbles, and one glass wasted. you CANNOT JUST LET IT DROP AND LET THE NANOADHESIVE DO THE WORK. that is a lie, I would let it drop from the bottom carefully and even use your hand to guide the bubble out to avoid it becoming stuck, once the bubble is stuck the only way is to remove it from one corner and let the bubble out. It seems OK now but one of my corners is obviously not perfect or clean, but it'll do. product is fine, if a bit overpriced.

      Worked great for mine on the 1st try. I just let the glass drop and it began to bond from the center outwards on its own. Didn't have to guide it or anything. Glad to know I have a spare glass should I ever need it.

      The glass is just slightly smaller than the display. Barely noticeable. I have to hold the Switch up to the light at just the right angle to even kind of see it.

    • @Angrypcgamenerd
      @Angrypcgamenerd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At least you didn't f….. it up again! I did the same thing - just a piece of hair (or fiber) that got on top of the regular screen. They should have provided instructions on top of the stickers - to remove any additional dust or moisture. Second time I did it, I've managed to remove any remaining bubbles. One spec of dust but likewise it should be fine.

  • @kerrybarneyiii1202
    @kerrybarneyiii1202 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Garbage. Mine didn’t even come with ‘yellow skin’ so thanks for that. Tried using sticker, single speck of dust was ON THE BACK OF THE SCREEN PROTECTOR. Tried again just hovering the thing over the screen like a normal screen protector; the ‘nano adhesive’ did not, in fact, cover the screen, but left bubbles everywhere; some of which would not press out. Sure you guys have great products but that doesn’t mean anything if only the robots can apply them.

      Worked just fine after getting new one and just applying it like on a phone without screwing with the “peel the back off and drop it” shenaniganery. So in actuality I ended up using more skilz than this awkward method. Years of applying Lego stickers finally coming in clutch👌
