As someone who was born an raised an still live in Claremont new hampshire I've been in love with dirt bikes sense I laid eyes on my first Kawasaki 85 an I never really looked to hard into the riders or doing my research but as I got older I started getting more towards liking the riders rather then just liking the bikes an the racing becoming an actual fan of riders I never knew how many people came outta new england that kinda made it In the dirt bike racing community. I always thought there was no chance for a man or woman from this area to make it in the dirt bike community an be able to make a living doing what they love rather it be training or mechanic or a track builder or whatever it may be knowing it can be achieved am accomplished even though I live all the way up here an we don't really have a whole bunch of tracks to go race on but other people create the chance to do it am accomplish it then anyone else can it means it's possible so thank You for representing new england an giving me more insight knowledge on the race people we have had come from here
During the Patreon days I remember sending you a interview clip of the Arenacross series, where you were being interviewed by a girl. I thought you did great in that video, and I thought you did great in this video with Mathis. When I found the video that I sent you, I remember seeing this one with Mathis, also. You are too hard on yourself. I really think you did great. You were a 16ish teenager. Can't expect much more than that. I would say that it's on the higher end of what you would expect from someone that age, in that situation. The riding clips were insane. All you guys looked so freakin' fast. Like were none of you concerned about crashing and dying!? The reckless abandon is crazy to watch. It's like watching Stewart. I looked through my HISTORY trying to find the young interview with the girl, and couldn't find it. I did find the wicked scrub video in there, along with this one: th-cam.com/video/Pb58Rzl__xQ/w-d-xo.html Here is the early Arenacross interview. th-cam.com/video/ijKwewIwtt4/w-d-xo.html And another: th-cam.com/video/FXgxH9ozc0Q/w-d-xo.html
Bro! Never mind the earrings in the Steve Mathis interview, but what in god's name is going on with that clutch lever!? It's only a mere 7ft from the handlebars 😂
In that first video aj said he couldn't remember a guys name, looked like it was #200 on the bike. Possibly Mike mcdade? Childhood friend of mine who was coming up in that era. Nvm just watched it back and it was #260. Think Mike was running #334 back then anyhow.
2011 Monster Energy Cup, some gnarly racing. You were just outside the top 10 in the heat, then in the semi Kdub went by you and hit a huge double. Some great racing that day. Also what is up with your clutch in the interview lol
Now if u can get hold of some of the other guys from those past races and watch and react to them again but as a group I think that could make for a great video too especially if u can manage getting Barcia in it to react to that race. Easier said then done but it’s a thought lol
What could be even better is if the get together and do a private race together then after the race do the reactions to those videos together and provide all the back stories and commentary lol. They could even make this a two part video and do pt 1 as a race between them on the track probably tomahawk then pt 2 of the videos and reactions and so on. Just an idea but another easier said then done thing but just thinking out loud lol
Not that you’re interested, and it was like 10-15 years before you were born.. but I’ll post it anyway. 😂 My first pro win and interview from 1985. No scrubs, one handlers were freestyle..back when you hoped your 125 would clear the double and triples. 😂 Shawn Kalos and I Battled, his fall and me jumping that quad (whoops) on the front straight are the only reason I won. I was only rider of all the 250 and 125 pros jumping four of those whoops at a time. Everybody else was doing 3/2 or 2/2/1, I was also the only guy jumping that double until about took me out. 😂 th-cam.com/video/O-CgbEFFMyM/w-d-xo.html
That's Crazy MEC 2012 was my first Supercross I've ever been of course way too young even acknowledging the privateers and obviously fanboying RV. Man did AJ look so sick loose and fast. Technique wasn't a huge factor in those days.
Hahahha what a dufus... dude. We are all idiots all the time. Some things we just practice on and get better. 🙃 Thought this was gonna be a silly vid but loved it.
Wow AJ this is so cool man never knew you were from Connecticut. I am from Colchester Connecticut grew up racing at Central cycle club in Central village Connecticut. Have you ever raced there?
That scrub looked like a video game

How about the levers on that Yamaha you had at MEC!

I 100% agree! He should definitely get all the old moto-homies together and do some bench racing and old video reviews.
