Watched the series again, knowing that Cat knows... Changes the entire dynamic of their relationship. Cat was constantly passing on wisdom and important lessons onto Kara. Cat has a huge heart....
Batman said that commissioner Gordon was good enough that he'd figure out Batman's identity if he ever let himself think about it, and Superman said that Perry White was a good enough reporter that he could have found out his secret identity. Cat Grant just doesn't have the personality to will herself to not know something. Though she worked with Clark Kent, he's better at hiding it than Kara is. You can see her get visibly flustered whenever Cat mentions Supergirl. I like how she'd secretly give Supergirl advice by talking to Kara. When she'd criticize Supergirl in front of her, she was really warning her of how her actions or image could be perceived and to be careful.
@@laviniapeters Even when the Red Kryptonited Supergirl threw Cat Grant off from the top the Catco building, Cat didn't look that scare because she knew the heart of Supergirl will catch her before hitting the ground.

I think the only thing that's not giving Cat the signals that Superman is Clark Kent (maybe she knows but just how they did this when they introduced Superman into the series as a guest) is that Kara Danvers and Clark Kent are friends through Jimmy, not cousins themselves... at least in the show they do this. But yeah, I agree, Cat's basically known from the beginning. :D

I don't watch the show, but clearly Cat is giving Kara the chance to live a semi-normal life, as well as selfishly getting to enjoy having Supergirl at her beck and call.

For someone who doesn't watch the show you've got a good grasp of her character. She legitimately was my favorite. Hard woman with good instincts and a heart. TV doesn't always write women this way.
A person who lived, stayed and loved you will always know about your truth no matter how much you try to hide it from them you will never fool them and and always they will protect you the same you're protecting them.
It just feels like there's a lot more that's been left unexplored surrounding this very topic. I wish that the producers would do some sort of short arc with Cat Grant where they can wrap up this "Cat Grant knew from the very beginning who Kara was" thing for the fans.
Don't forget that Grant told Kara that she knows that she's in love with two people that was that was Lena and mon-el's and cat Grant told her being in love is not a selfish act that she should go and rescue her friends
@@kendradewee7268 well this show left open a lot of f****** plot holes that I don't like mon-ell and Lena his mother took his DNA and Lena's DNA when she cut off a lock of her hair and gave it to her chief medical science and told him get to work to create a clone a little bit of her son and a whole lot of Lena and I'm pretty sure they clone a female because she was disappointed in her son I'm pretty sure those are her strict orders when they were under attack by the lead bomb the captain and the Queen's mothership he took off first before anybody else and the reason why because he had precious cargo on board the Queen's orders were to be obeyed even in death and that's what the captain of the Queen's mothership did it is my firm belief that season 7 with a focused on Lena's daughter because there's no way in the hell the queen would have told her doctors to clone a male and that child would have been came a grown adult woman half human and she would have came back to Earth to claim her share of her inheritance from the Lutheran family but really she could care less about that she would have wanted answers as to why her mother abandoned her and she would have walked right into lex or Alcoa and confronted Lena and Lena never would have known who she was and then they would have done a reveal moment probably the end of the season where she would have came clean and confessed Elena after why she brought up all her shares of stock and she would have revealed that she is the rightful heir to the Luther Fortune and Lena would probably curse at us at how dare you who do you think you are and she probably said mother I'm a Luther and Lena would have been shock.

And yes that would be including the greatest of times when she pops on to “guest star” (even to me she would be one of the original stars of the show that got the show of it’s feet and to where it is now and today... if only the CW would move it off Sunday cause of football cause jeez does that screw-ball just EVERYTHING up) does anyone agree? I really wanted to see the relationship development as the series went on, between Cat and Kara. I think she would've been a great mentor for both Kara and Supergirl. I mean once she gets over the idea that she needs to fire her. I mean really, how is she supposed to pay rent or buy food? Super heroing doesn't pay anything.
It's so obvious that cat knew that Kara was supergirl cuz if she figured out guardian and the flash how could She not figure about Kara being supergirl
Kara's awkwardness though is so obvious that she's like Clark Kent to the 100th power. Tom Welling was a bit of a "natural" with the awkwardness, but most actors (even Cavill and Routh) definitely overkill the Clark Kent attitude. When actors overdo it, what should look cute and adorable becomes unnatural, forced, and painful to watch.
I loved how she is Supergirl and her biggest supporter, respected and defender she have criticized her but she wanted to make Supergirl stronger and braver. Just like Cat was with Kara. And Cat could careless about James the user being vigilante and menace to society guardian. And Cat had respected Barry for being the Flash.
Cat Grant is a badass boss lady and she actually has eyes and a brain.....
