0:55 The old-timers 'round these parts like to tell a tale of the Phantom Track-loader. They say that on clear spring nights, just as the moon is rising, you can hear the faint sound of that machine rumbling through the hills.
In view of the title of this video, how come they didn’t have any footage of the UK government. I expected to see Starmer, Raynor, Reeves or at least David Lammy at work. 🤣😂
16:26 dang, based on the quality of that video, folks must be sending you old videos from like the 1970's now. But the whack a (mole) worker was funny! 😂
that one at 26.27 with the spade we would on gold mines on a sunday when working underground doing maintenance use a spade and an oxyacetylene cutting torch to barbecue our meat
@slc1161 it may be but the upkeep is more expensive. While asphalt is brilliant if the foundations are laid properly and will outlast concrete. Plus the upkeep on repairs of asphalt is much cheaper. In the UK they wouldn't use concrete anymore. There are a few roads a couple of miles in length that are still concrete. And when they repair them they are replacing them with asphalt. Imagine having to lay pipes or cables and go through concrete? That's another reason it's never used here anymore. Many new technologies require the roads as a highway foentheir underground cables and the parts of Grimsby I recall having concrete. They laid the pipes under the side of the road. Too expensive to did up concrete and time consuming. There is it's ups and down with concrete. Longer to lay, has to be thicker as well and cost ways too much. Imagine a 100 mile stretch of highway and the difference in cost.
The same day I watched this, I went out and was running to catch the bus when fell flat on my face in front of everyone waiting in the bus stop.......Beware of karma...
3:50 Welcome to the highway between Moscow and St. Peters-burg, Russia. 8:50 That the FIRST training cession with an actual fire hose for the new trainees. It pretty much always goes that way.
Through no fault of my own I experienced a one similar to the clip at 2:06. I drove into the parking lot of a convenience store and my tires sunk into freshly poured concrete. Workers had poured concrete at the entrance of the parking lot. But there was absolutely no indication of it. The workers and construction equipment had left, and the idiots didn't even put up barricades or signs warning of the fresh concrete. So I left tire tracks through their new concrete because they were too stupid to set up barricades or warning signs.
7:28 Why be 1/2-🫏’ed ? I mean: if you’re gonna service electrical lines on a conductive aluminium ladder, why not also have a fellow worker spraying you down with water, to stay cooled off as well?
This is giving Osha a heart attack. 😂😂😂
😂🤣

21st century and parts of America still use concrete for the road. Come on folks.
It’s more durable against trucks and high traffic than asphalt.

Men and their machines. Now if only they knew how to use them,🤣🤣 😁🥴
Makes me wonder how the world population is still increasing. Stupidity is not a temporary condition. 😅😅😅
Barely takes a brain cell to get someone pregnant. Hell, you can be pretty much brain dead and still accomplish the feat.
