At 1:00 what the narrator don't know/don't explain is the person driving the tow truck is actually the truck owners, the one being towed, who was so infuriated at getting towed he stole the tow truck from the tow truck driver..... He was arrested for a variety of charges!
Yep. It was a crazy idiot. 2ho needs to be kept from society. He failed to make agreed upon payments. Rather then work with company that actually owned truck. He assaulted representative who was collecting, totaled the truck, badly damaged 7 other vehicles. Endangered many.
You can hear him say, nobody is taking this truck from me, so I figured it was the owner, no tow truck driver would drive like that unless he was being shot at. What an idiot.
7:10 That's not a fail, that's exactly what was meant to happen - removing the supports, and leaving the arch behind. And this has been done for thousands of years.
@@DanielMores Hi Daniel! It's mortar, actually, and, sincerely, apart from some mortar used for shape correction of the temporary structure (just to support the little triangular brick pieces), I don't see it used between the temporary bricks that will fall when the wood is removed. AFAIK that's exactly a "by the book" wooden centering and temporary brick design, a very common, quick and cheap solution to make an arch. It's in use since roman times - and it's still common today in small jobs like house renovations, etc - even if Romans, in most cases, didn't use mortar, relying instead on the precision of their stone dressing (especially for the central wedge that's the "trick" on which that kind of arch is based onto). IMHO. 🙂
@@DanielMores Absolutely not. All of the bricks above the wood and below the arch are not mortared in. They are literally there to support the arch and prevent movement during curing of the mortar.
@@alison4316 It was, actually. Once all the temporary stuff is cleaned up it'll look ... still ugly - because I don't like that style, but it's well done.
@@jacklow9611 Actually, no, Jack, IMHO. I see no wedge in it, even worse, there's a big space between the two top bricks! That's how and why arches have been invented: designed with voussoirs (the arch stones/bricks) and, above all, the central wedge, the trapezoidal shaped stone or brick that - pushing from top - help shifting the combined forces (gravity, too) to the sides. Bricks like those, simply "glued" upended with mortar are going to give up sooner or later (if not instantly), AFAIK. Unless we use other fixing devices and some very peculiar mortars (I remember once using a chemical mortar - epoxidic, IIRC - that was like a very strong cement, a glue practcally, it was amazing but extremely expensive). Again, IMHO (oh, by the way, to be honest my trade isn't masonry, but I've been fiddling in a couple of things during the years... 🙂)
@@MC202zipper : That was the point. There was no keystone (the central wedge) holding the bricks in place. Watching the video, you could see he removed the support on the bricks, allowing them to fall, but if mortar had been used (and allowed to cure as it needs to do) they might not have fallen quite so quickly. It's very obvious you don't know anything about masonry, or the lasting power of some items (although nothing will last forever) but if a combination of mortar and a keystone had been used on that arch it would not have fallen apart so readily. If mortar had been used and allowed to cure completely, the support he removed would have prevented the bricks from collapsing while the mortar was curing, even without a keystone being used. Where I'm now living, there are structures of brick (or stone) and mortar that have stood for nearly a hundred years (or more) that will be standing for quite awhile longer.
*Just a footnote* The tow truck clip, was not the tow truck driver. The tow truck driver was fasting up that truck when the owner came out and was trying to prevent him from towing his truck. The owner climbed into the tow truck itself and started driving away in a hurry to prevent his car from being towed and that's why it was all crooked with the door open etc That wasn't the driver that did it It was the owner of the vehicle trying to take back or prevent his truck from being repossessed
Was the brick arch a fail? That looked like it worked fine. The arch stayed. The only bricks that fell were just there to hold it up until it was finished.
I'm not sure it's "Total Idiots at Work" I mean a few may be idiots, but many do seem like genuine accidents...versus people trying to do something they shouldn't be doing.
I watch videos like this to know I'm not the only one. However, I reserve the right to choose just how far my stupidity goes as opposed to a bad choice!!!
Remind yourself that the only way to never make a mistake, is to never do anything at all. Also, 7:04 is not a mistake, thats exactly one of the ways to lay a decorative brick arch. And then you remove the support structure as seen here. By falsely claiming this was an idiot at work, you made an idiot's mistake in your line of work. 😅
Watching this video, I asked myself: Are these people working or just testing the limits of the law of attraction? Surely one of them will become the main character in the comedy 'Why I shouldn't work remotely!
I really enjoy watching these video even with your corny comments/jokes. What I vehemently dislike are the comments that are total fantasy or, you like the sound of your own voice i.e. the car and the cement mixer. Obviously the mixer was out of control and the car driver wasn't bright 🔆enough to back up. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so, ha, ha.

The idiot cutting the sandwich with the table saw was using poor technique and very dangerous. Could have lost fingers or a whole hand with that stunt.

The arch was there before, it looks to me like they wanted to make it smaller or something. Notice the cement on the *underside* of the arch.

It’s remarkable how you can find so many videos of something like this everyday. Great job!!!
These are the funny one's, there are probably just as many of people getting crushed and maimed, and other horrible things.
Equally as amazing is finding someone who thinks their taste is better
Sadly the human race is so stupid, videos like this will be easy to find for generations to come.
Every time I need a good laugh, I turn to instant regret fails!
I love the people who create these instant regret fails moments
Great Video Thanks 4 Sharing .
Totally agree, this is the kind of content that people can’t resist sharing.
This made my day! You're hilarious!
The guy with the brick arch was an expert mason. What is removed was a temporary arched mold for the actual brick arch. You got this one wrong.
That flood in the bathroom clip at 1:49, "Uh yeah, about thaaat..."😂😂😂
Lets, just pretend we didnt see that, mmm'kay?
What a compilation! Some great footage here 👍
I’m with you on this-its humor will definitely make it go viral.
so funny, Every single one of these instant regret fails is comedy gold!
You made me a lot while am at work👍👍👍👍👍

Ah, what a relief, the mute button.
I know! My pet hate - unnecessary, annoying narration from someone who thinks they're funny.
Lots of BRICs countries here!
Sometimes silence says it all! Do you think the video would be better without commentary, or maybe just with a different style?
@6:54 I'm pretty sure what that guy did was correct. The loose bricks were used to form the arch.
That's what I was thinking.
They might have stayed as an arch if mortar had been applied and allowed to cure completely before the boards were removed.
Yea those bricks that fell had no mortar. They were only there to supply support. Look how clean the rest looks when it’s all over.
