To anwser the question in the end of the vid for you Rarran, Zephrys is indeed the best card in the game cause the diamond version shows him offering boulderfist ogre which has good stats for the cost!
The one wishing upon Zephrys realy is making a mistake by not picking the Ogre though ... Most likely a beginner

just to clarify, zephrys can
--> give surprise lethals with bloodlust/savage roar
--> board clear with lightning storm, etc.
--> provide targeted silence
--> provide weapon tech
all of which can win the game on the spot
also rare usage but can give +6 heal on 2 mana,jaraxxus for games that seem to have no end,and murloc tech against big mutanus
Zephrys was the kind of card that honestly felt really fair for how strong it is. Zephrys could only guess the "perfect" card based only on the present board condition, it can't "know" either player's hands, AND it was restricted to drawing from basic and classic sets.
Also, I remember the meta sorta worked around Zephrys by encouraging multiple win conditions, or at least multiple "packages" to work with, in each deck. Every Highlander deck ran Zephrys, so it's not that big a deal to counter that kind of known entity: Bait out the Zephrys with a threatening board, then transition to a different way to win the match.
yeah I never really thought that Highlander was "Broken" it was very nice, and consistent, but you could beat it. Its not like some other decks, or even the bullshit that mage is currently doing with solid alibi.
He used to know what enemy secrets were in play, until they changed that. He would offer Eater of Secrets instead of Flare if the opponent had Counterspell, but not against other secrets.

Zephrys is the best card ever made not necessarily because of its winrate but because its a card that can only ever exist in hearthstone, no other card game could ever replicate it

highlander is the most fun way to play hearthstone, etc is like mini karn from mtg that added breath of fresh air to this archetype

If you drink caffeine too often, your brain becomes used to it and starts to reduce the effects of caffeine on your brain, and therefore you must either stop drinking caffeine for a while, which wil make you tired as fuck or continue upping the ammount of caffeine you ingest. I reccomend only drinking 1 cup of coffee maybe once every 2 days, to not enter this viscious cycle.
am i the only one that literally only plays hearthstone with rng/yogg/randomness decks? thats the only way for me to still have fun in the game ngl, and that makes it pretty fun too

's a lil' early in its development cycle, but its mighty neat.
Not only is Zeph the best card ever made, it's probably the most fun to play as well. Sometimes he finds lethal in the most absurd ways possible, with cards that you've never even seen before, but that are perfect for the situation you're in. Zephris is my dad btw

I haven’t played since Night of Karazhan, is the game worth coming back? I heard Blizzard fell off hard in recent years with all their projects, what about HS?
Longest break I had was two weeks and I've been playing since two weeks before goblins verses gnomes. I have plenty of fun with the game. You'll get loaner decks to test out and will be able to keep a deck a week after playing with the loaner decks. I main wild and enjoy it. Coming back and not having fun just means you had a go and it's not for you. Low rank wild should be very neat games and lots of quirky stuff like in rarrans video. If you get good and hit legend no matter the format you'll probably end up seeing lots of the same decks. Tavern brawls are really fun some weeks as well. Also free solo content from sets after the ones you played exist too if that's your thing.
I wish this was made whe the new highlander cards got released. Theyre so cool

In a world where you can discover copies of cards, Highlander and odd/even etc are not the “restriction” blizzard thinks they are. They restricted discovering triple runes, the same needs to apply to those cases like you cannot activate Highlander effects if you played 2 of a card.
