    A complete and thorough review. Personally I would be interested in the cpl/nd only. Thanks for showing us the difference and explaining the uses.

    When you turn off the OP3 with 1 filter on (Freewell brand); does not allow to close to original off position. Some people may not be bothered by this i’m certain. Other brands are thinner and allow to get back to off position with 1 filter on.

    Very nice! I honestly wouldn't have guessed the filters were stackable! I have the Black Mist DJI filter and never used it, but wanted a lens protector. Everythng I read said you cannot do both, so I set off to see why I'd need a lens. This videos gave me a great run down!

    Thanks for the video. I may consider this set if it ever goes on sale. I picked up a cheaper set of ND filters for the time being, since I knew that's what I would be using for most of my videos. It would've been nice to have a circular polizer in my last video, as I was trying to film the fish in my pond and I couldn't see them due to the reflections in the pond!

    I am amazed that I would even consider another purchase but I am considering getting a DJI Osmo with these filters. Right now I'm using (and generally happy) a Sony ZV-1, Feiyutech G6Max gimbal and wreless (or shotgun) mic for the types of scenes I would use an Osmo 3 for. The Osmo 3 would be far more convenient and eliminate setting up a gimbal and 3rd party microphone. I also use ND's and / or Black Mist filter on the ZV-1, so the Freewell filters would be a perfect replacement. I probably won't do it as I can get results with what I have, but I am sure tempted!

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the size factor is unavoidable. That is literally unbeatable. Next week I am filming Pocket 3 vs gimbal and camera/ phone so if you can wait until that video is out... But the P3 is very, very good... And the ND filters are the icing on the cake!

    Thanks Samuel! I bought the "Bright day" Freewell kit (only 4 polarised ND filters) for my dear Pocket 3 and I will see if I use it... :) This pocket 3is the best camera ever for me, I sold all my cameras! • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know about a zoom lens but I suggested to Freewell a telephoto lens when they release their wide angle, and they didn't say no, so, you never know. A telephoto lens to give anywhere between a 50-75mm focal length would be mega.... time will tell...

      32ND for cloudy days, ND64 for sunny days. Summer sunny days will probably need a ND128 as the sun is brighter… sunrise/sunset or early morning is ND8 or ND16. It all depends on what you do, hard to say as I film at all times of the day…

      They have a set filters that include just the straight ND, and for most people and most situations, that’s all you need really. Actually, skyreat makes a set that includes the 128ND, which I think it is a must for bright sunny days, and you are going to the beach… www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CLXT38SG/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_MB9PWHDD1E5QZE3H6QAV?linkCode=ml2&tag=geartek-21

    Hey Samuel, are the Freewell filters “ thin” enough to allow them to stay on the camera while in the off or “ parked” position?

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They stay on the camera but the camera does not roll in the same way as when without filter. It does stay with the filter down, which you can then put in the P3 case. That is how I carry them around, because a lot of the times, you use let's say a ND64, that might be the filter you use for hours so I just turn off, and put in the P3 case. The magnets are strong and the filter won't fall off... I hope this helps...

      @@SamuelSotiega :) There is no zebras..not eben a histogram on this camera.. This is a point and shoot vlog camera and very good at it.. But you can't judge your exposure on that tiny screen. Nobody really needs motion blur for YT videos. If you are doing pro work..then you must already buy a pro camera and then only you may consider ND filters.. But not for that tiny thing. I can understand the gimmick.. But for vlog no real motion.. no need for the motion blur.. and the camera exposes perfectly fine in auto mode.. no need to go to manual mode.. it is killing the purpose of that camera IMO. Sorry.. ..And is this place docklands... I am close to canary wharf London.. it looks like we are close :)

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @erkkocak I agree with you that it would be great to have a histogram at the very least. You do get it if you use the liko app and your smartphone, which will give you a larger screen, which helps with judging exposure, although it defeats the purpose of the camera a bit. They should include it on the camera without the need of the mimo app and phone. Your view on ND filters is opposite to mine. I hate when I see a blog with a shutter speed through the roof, but this is a very subjective opinion and there will be a lot of people who will have a different taste or preference. I prefer to keep my shutter at 1/50 and what I do sometimes is set an auto ISO range, which helps when vlogging. This is a great vlogging camera, but it ain’t an Alexa or Red camera. It is not intended so that should be clear from the outset, I would imagine…
