James has the broadest shoulders and the biggest chest ever. Even at 73 he looks fit. Real talent Great personality Sort of humble One of my favorite roles was Thief Of course he will always be remembered for his role in the godfather but that's not a small thing. His on screen presence was a big part of that movies success. He will be remembered and missed .
U Ain’t Never Ever Lied About This Fact About This Man Especially When James Caan Played In All Of The GodFather Movie’s Then When James Caan Played In The Mysterious Scary Movie Misery With Kathy Bates This Movie Definitely Stand’s Out For Me Outta All Of The Movie’s He Did
Yes he’s the man James Cann is a legend the man 👨 one of the best movie actors from the 70s 80s 90s The Godfather so many great movies 🎥 James was in lots of love Larry to you and Sean King
Absolutely love James Caan, one of a kind. Icon. Santino was always my favourite in The Godfather the book and the movie. Also, Caan was underrated in the movie, most people talked about Pacino and Brando, yes they were great, but the thing about Godfather is, entire cast was brilliant, but Caan really shone in this role and many others, less known roles, but still great ones.
Caan's most underrated role was as a Senior Non-commissioned Officer in Gardens of Stone. He did honor to all Soldiers. He is revered by all Soldiers for that portrayal.
Awesome performance. “There ARE no front lines in Vietnam.” Poor kid was so focused on winning the CIB and you really felt Caan’s character’s angst having already served there.
I ran into Mr. Caan once in a Plaid Pantry store outside of Washington DC. He'd just shot scenes with the Army there for Gardens of Stone. He was in a Hawaiian hibiscus shirt, driving a rental car. I tried to be cool and not bother him too much. Just said "Hello Mr. Caan" as held the door for him. He just smiled and said "Hi Bub". That was it. I always hoped that he appreciated being treated like a normal guy.
MrSuperbombastik yeah instead of harassing him for an autograph like a lot of people do nowadays Plus they insist on a selfie which I think must be really irritating and some people are really aggressive about getting these autographs and selfies
@@gardensofthegods ... well stated !! Hollywood stars want to be left alone in public, rather than be badgered by annoying requests for autographs, or selfies.
First time I saw Scott Caan was in *Enemy of the State*. He is a good actor too. But James Caan is a legend! I recently got the dvd of *Chapter Two* with Marsha Mason. First saw it in about 1983...rented it for a weekend & watched it with my daughter. I cried whenever he died in movies...*Brians’s Song* & *The Godfather*.😢 & I nearly cried when I missed seeing him at the Denver Livestock Show in January ?1986. Went out shopping with a friend as it was the one year Robert Redford wasn’t there. Caan rode in a roping horse event, I think. My other friend that was there showing horses couldn’t wait to tell me I had missed James Caan roping! (But Denver had great shops & restaurants!)🥀
Larry King is a total fossil. James Caan on the other hand is a living legend and one of the most underrated actors. His movies from the 70's are especially awesome and people need to see his other work besides The Godfather.
LMFAO, Larry King asked him "What is your biggest regret?" two times and the 2nd time Caan responds, "My biggest regret? This interview, Larry" lmfaoooooo
James Caan movie Thief was the prelude to movies like Taken, Taken 2, Taken 3 etc. Much like Death Wish series, best version of John Waynes El Dorado "copy" Rio Bravo almost the same script. Not to mention Godfather prelude to the Sopranos. A Actor and love this dude very much...
Oh and I forgot to say.. you’re a real man we see that when you speak. And because you have a set like the King of Bayonne!! Hahahaha and I only know your son from the movie enemy of the state and deep blue? Cool as his dad.... Dio ti benedica

A friend had a very small part in Elf. When I asked him how it was he said Caan was really nice and engaging. I couldn't say the same about Will Ferrell (he was aloof). He thought it would be the exact opposite. But I can say that one of my buddies was a Central Park Mounted Police officer.
Rest in peace to both legends Larry King & James Caan
His performance in misery was totally understated by Kathy Bates. Both of them were equally amazing.
Yea. That movie and elf and bulletproof with Adam sandler and El Dorado I like him in. But I like about everything with him tho.
Agreed. Both actors had great chemistry.
Miss him a L
What?
Marlon Brando is the GOAT❤❤🎉🎉THE BEST ACTOR EVER.
I loved him in Brian’s Song. I cry every time.
RIP Jimmy Caan true giant in cinema
RIP James Caan! Good bless!
Lots of love for James Caan. He's real. Says it like it is
He's the last of the real Hollywood a listers in my mind; reminds me of Lee Marvin and Rid Stinger.
🙏💖💖🎬💖🥰
James has the broadest shoulders and the biggest chest ever. Even at 73 he looks fit.

Caan almost played Michael and DeNiro almost played Sonny.
And Robert Duvall is great too 👌
I heard that he actually wanted to play Michael Corleone instead. Well I doubt anybody could have played Santino any better.
@@pbrucpaul The casting turned out just right.
Caan wasn’t underrated; he was nominated for an Oscar.
They don’t make’em like him anymore!! Love Love James Caan!!!!
Miss Michelle Girl U Ain’t Never Ever Lied About This Fact About James Caan
I think Larry wins the highest shoulders contest between him a and James Caan. Larry’s looks like he could touch his ear with it
It’s pretty close
high shoulders or shor neck?
Man, his accent from Godfather is still here, wow
He's from the Bronx, so he always had the New York-area accent.
Caan is one of the GOATS
love James caan. ❤️
“How would you know how good looking a broad was”😂🤣😂🤣 Old school is back in session.
The man aged amazingly and still looks fantastic!
Amazing to see what a fun guy James Caan was in real life.
I friggin LOVED Sonny Corleone and therefore James Caan from the time I was a kid till now... That guy is awesome...
Rip to both of these men
Brando said James Caan was the funniest guy he ever met.
Robert Duvall said that as well, more than once.
Like Sonny 🥰
Great actor if you know he's in something you know it worth the watch because it be good
Boy I sure do miss the old days.
He's the best and will be missed but I can enjoy his talent through his movies 😥☺️
Caan's short time on film Godfather is some of the best pure acting ever! On scale with Brando and couple others
Love Jimmy! Wish he was working more.
Caan's most underrated role was as a Senior Non-commissioned Officer in Gardens of Stone. He did honor to all Soldiers. He is revered by all Soldiers for that portrayal.

when larry king laughs, it's so f*cking genuine...makes me laugh
That Sterling Hayden outburst was hysterical!
1of the Very, very few "Men" still alive Especially, in that business. That's why he had both Mitchum,& The Duke's friendship & respect.
My man,so real😀
Caan seemed like a real cool guy. RIP
He was 73 here, looked 55.
Yep, but today he looks bad unfortunately
@@baboom007 why does he i know but what happened?
samsquanch1996 I thought Larry King is older than that
samsquanch1996 it’s sad to be star struck......he looked his age and sounded out of breath and older.

What a treasure. RIP Dear Sir.

Legend no one can take his place. Sad.
Larry King- "I'm so happy for you James"
James Caan- "I'm happy for you too Larry, and your suspenders.........."

James Caan was a noted stauch conservative. God bless him! No wonder he was good friends with the Duke. A true American icon like the Duke. RIP!
Passionate, James was ...exudes passion
James Caan rocks
Godfather was great, of course, but watching James Caan in "Alien Nation" is a guilty pleasure.

Michael Mann's underrated 1980 masterpiece 'Thief' is a tour de force performance by James Caan.
And still a very handsome man w a son, Scott, that I absolutely adore!

Like how Mr. Cann is being fatherly to this young lady. Which can be observed by the use of his hands.
RIP Sonny
LMAO, great interview. Mostly Larry keeps cutting him short. Been watching James work since El Dorado with John Wayne. Fun actor to watch.

Burt Reynolds was supposed to play Santino. Coppola wanted no part of Reynolds.
James Caan- lucky many to act with John Wayne and Marlon Brando WOW
