This is how to kill Crawmerax solo in Borderlands. This method works on PS4 and PS3 versions. It also use to work on the OnLive streaming version. It probably also works on Steam and Xbox. Needed Gear: A powerfull, accurate, fast projectile weapon to hit the five front crit spots. I recommend a high crit sniper rifle. A powerfull non-elemetal launcher for the final crit spot on the back. I recommend a Torgue. Recommended Gear: A high power, high fire rate Fire, Shock and Corrosive weapon to deal with the three types of crab/worm minions that may manage to attack you befor you get to the hidding spot. Ammo regen mod. The last two crit spots can take a while to hit so you may need to regen ammo. Walkthrough: Once you reach the top of the lift start running to the left side of the map. If you are a soldier throw out your turret to distract some of the crab/worm minions. If any follow you use the correct element weapon to kill them. Try not to kill them too close to the hidding spot or this will block your view. Get to the small ditch at the left of the map and duck down. If your lucky Crawmerax wont get a chance to spit acid at you. Once you are in position Crawmerax may freeze. Shoot him a few times to get him moving. Once hes doing his repeted movement you can start to take out his 6 crit spots. First aim for his top two claws. For the bottom two you may need to move around a little as you are likely to be blocked by the ledge infront of you. For the head crit spot shoot when he is at the bottom of his movement if you can. If you are blocked by the ledge then shoot at the top of his movment. This can take a while as youl see in the video. The last crit spot is on his back. Use a non-elemental Launcher to hit the fat middle spikes on his back at the moment he stops between the end and the begining of his repeted movements. This can take a while to get right. The delay between fireing and hitting the target depends on the projectile speed of your launcher and how far away Crawmerax is from you. For me fireing just after he begines his repeted movment worked. Hitting the spike doesnt always do damage. If this happens then try hitting the spike in a slightly different area or try a different spike. Minion crab/worm weaknesses: Large Armored - Corrosive Medium Green - Fire Small Red - Shock

I tried Crawmerax for the first time ever last night. I shot from behind the same ledge, had him glitched and only needed his back when I deployed my turret to see if Craw would move so I could get a clear shot then the turret broke the glitch and worms were spawning on the ledge with me. Killed me instantly. Then I tired probably 6 times to get the glitch to work afterwards and of course it wouldn’t.
Thank you for this video! I used this to line up where exactly I'm meant to shoot the rocket launcher and it worked a treat! I only just found out that I need a RL for this trick and was lucky enough that the shop sold one that did 1k damage. After 2 or 3 attempts, I managed to land successful shots and defeated him! I felt confident enough in this strategy that I went back in with a stronger RL from killing him and managed to kill him again, twice in a row. Safe to say this trick still works in 2023 on the Xbox 360 version. Thanks again.
I never did it with anyone but Lilith. If the worms even see you, they'll attack you on the ledge. But her speed in phase shift made that aspect easy. My preferred spot was slightly left, and just a tick more forward than the spot in the vid. And it's important to know that damage to the crit spot on his back is 100% splash, so a Torgue launcher that shows a big explosive radius in the graphical effect does well. Accuracy in the launcher's specs counts too. Nice vid as usual dude 👍
Thanks 😁 I use Roland's turret to distract a few of the smaller worms in the video and then use my glitched acid crux to shred the armoured worm. I think getting passed the worms is actually the hardest part of this glitch lol.
I've been running Lillith with the Merc ass mod and a ammo Regen SMG simply since I for nearly two whole 2 playthroughs, since I've yet to do the DLCs, but now that I have the specter class mod this is actually gonna be fast. Just gotta get my proficiency to 20 too now....
Just did this... Mongol Rocket Launcher worked really well, with the one downside is that you use up ammo if your not careful and one of every three rock will definitely not his as the the spread of the mini rockets are random.
thx; great idea to use rocket launcher for indirect hitting his "back crit. spot"; it´s still mystery to me, how you were able to time/hit it so succesfully/frequently, but after some 25 minutes of grinding craw finally falled...i have best results with "+%burst count" type of rocket launchers....was also able to have some random hits here and there with rocket shooting shotgun "boom stick"; guarantee drop from baron Flynt
Well done. This was being done many years ago by others before I made the video. The rocket timing is tough and definitely requires an element of luck.
I don’t know if this still works as it’s been a long time since I’ve played this game, but when I was Mordechai, what I would do to get the trick to work is as soon as chrome racks comes up deploy blood wing what that does is it still distracts him long enough for him not to move for you to get to that ledge then what I always noticed once you get to that ledge and you’re on the little ledge crouch as soon as you get on it This always seem to work for me and then what I would do to hit his back was use a really accurate rocket launcher and if you time it right, you can hit the spike on his back and it will hit his spot. That is how I always defeated him as Mordecai and his most will say with Lilith yes, all you have to do is phase, walk to the ledge, but same thing with Roland just deploy your turret, and his attention will be on the turret long enough for you to get to the ledge now with brick, I don’t know I never really played brick, this was just my experience long time ago playing the game
Tip: move more to the right after destroying all fromt crit spots, jump, and place the turret. Craw will attack the turret or move around, while revealing his back. Thats also a method to hit his back.
@@borderlandsglitches NO. DO NOT DO IT STRAIGHT AFTER GETTING TO THE SPOT. If you do that. Craw will keep moving, attacking AND shooting you. The glitch will no longer work (by my experience). Keep it safe, do the crit spots and then do that. Rather play safe.

I was very close to beat it, 45 solid minutes shooting, it only had the back spot left, then I got out of ammo, jumped off the cliff, restocked ammo, went back up... to discover it was back to 100% health. Not worth it, at least with my level 40 guns. Still, thanks for the trick.
You're not supposed to do it on lvl 40. Also that boss is basically made for coop 4 man party, otherwise you really need top gear to beat it without glitches.

Why tf would you even try camerax under lv69? You need to be max lv with max lv gear so you roll perfect parts to get ammo regen rolls. Skullsmasher Sniper or Masher Equalizers are king to kill craw in like 5 minutes
My strategy Character: Mordecai (gunslinger class mod required) Weapon: masher revolver with a scope Skill: put 5 points into gun crazy (and any bonus crit skills) Grenade jump into the ledge as fast as you can Bonus weapons needed: fire hawk with high damage, good defiler, and a good shock pistol If you try this, good luck!
It's hard to say why without a video of your efforts to see. This isnt an easy trick to pull off. It took me hours to get it to work just once. And days to pull off in series.. id say keep trying.. How far can you get with it?. Do you make it to the hiding spot atlest?
@@sarahmccully1513 the back takes the longest because of how precisely you need to time the rocket. You gotta hit those spikes. Too soon and it's a body hit. Too late and it's a miss. Hitting spikes doesn't always mean damage either. It's kind down to chance. I recommend an ammo refil mod so you can try endlessly in one take. Also make sure your launcher is non elemental. You won't get the splash damage needed otherwise.
@@sarahmccully1513 Good Luck. If you have finished the main story of the clap trap dlc you can farm the gift shop chests for high teir loot. There are about 20 red chests in there you can farm over and over again.

If you are playing as Brick, he has a class mod (bombardier) with ammo regen for launchers, same for Roland (marine) so it may take a while to kill him, but it's doable. The even slower way, for everyone, is to use the Typhoon SMG to ricochet bullets off the rocks behind him, and hopefully hit the spot, and then use any Tediore legendary smg to sloooowly top the ammo back up when you run out. Lilith's mercenary class mod will help speed that up, having smg regen. Best of all though is Roland's Support Gunner class mod, regenerates ammo of any kind, depending on what is currently in hand. With that, Craw's demise is inevitable.
@@joeyodell96 honestly I suck at doing it now. I tried to help someone out a few weeks back and it took me like an hour at lest. Your better off just getting good at it yourself. That's what I did after watching this being done on a much older video.

Okay but why aren't any of these tricks working for me. I've literally done all the tricks possible and the sniper and rocket tricks aren't working

No because he always has minimum 60 lvl and 4 levels above the player. So you gotta do at least lvl 56.

Your correct it does not work on steams version of the GOTY edition. Gearbox doesn’t know why either.
But it DOES work on Console GOTY editions
