On this level, there's no such as thing as "cheap". There's a reason Gen didn't duck, he was scared of wall splatting mids, and generally JDCR doesn't do many lows, which means it's a mindgame where Gen doesn't expect them OR can't guess dodge because of the wall splat.

it's more him conditioning the player not to duck to better use the lows in more important rounds.
