    My wife and I have owned a BF mattress for about 8 years. When we bought it I weighed about 300 lbs. I now weigh about 200. We bought several mattresses before the Big Fig but none as good as the Big Fig. After all these years we still wake up some morning talking about how wonderful this mattress feels. I can't explain it but it just support you no matter how you sleep on your side or back.
    I can't say enough good things about this mattress. I recommend this mattress whether you are heavy or normal weight. I would not even consider ANY other brand.

      How is it for just plain overweight people? I've heard that it's way too firm. My wife and I are going on a weight loss journey. I'm down to simply overweight and she's down to obese. I know it would work for her today, but we want to be healthy. Let's set realistic goals and say we end up being just a bit larger than normal. Is it like sleeping on a slab of concrete if your not at least obese?

      I lost 100+ pounds after owning the Big Fig for more than a year. it is still and comfortable as when I was overweight. It is a firm mattress. This is my experience. Mattress are subjective but I can say that I love my Big Fig I would not choose any other mattress no matter my weight.

      Good to know. I'm about 280, my gf (about 100 lbs), stays over here and there but she also has a super firm mattress at her place. I think this might be my Christmas present to myself.

    Thank you so much for that wonderfully done review. You answered all my questions that I had about this mattress. Hopefully in the near future I'll be trying to purchase one.

    I'm fat 400 lbs. This mattress is crap. Never buy a matress without at least sitting on it first. I'm a combat vet and wanted a strong side because I sleep close to the edge. Within 1 week, the side is at a 45-degree angle, and the mattress is like a ramp. I have to sleep sideways or I roll off. The mattress is no different than a cheap one. This is WAY more expensive. Someone crapped in a box and marked it guaranteed

    Watching a thin guy giving a review on a mattress intended for someone twice his size is disingenuous at best.

    I enjoyed the review but.... just have a bigger person also provide their opinion on feel, they are literally the target consumer. Lots of good info here.

    Not being rude but could you guys stop with the background music. Really if you wanna be decorative, you just need it for intro and outro not to be playing during the whole review/narrative. Especially with this fella's voice being kinda lower/quieter. Thanks for listening, also thanks for providing info.

      I don’t mind the music but it is too loud and it pulls focus from what he’s saying.

      I'm looking into them right now, their website says this about their 120 day guarantee-
      "If you’re not 100% in love, returns are free and easy. We’ll arrange to have your mattress picked up and you’ll receive a refund of your purchase. It’s as simple as that."

    I just purchased a mattress form Sam's club, sadly to say it is sagging under my body after only 5 days. I have to return it. I was searching around for an alternative and came across big fig, wow, this review was real helpful, especially since I was considering a purchase for a total of $1,603.93!! This sure saved me a lot of money!! I didn't make the purchase because of the amount, but I am so glad I came across these reviews. I will not be purchasing from big fig.
    Are there any recommendations out there for persons of large size that require a extra firm queen size mattress?

    Long term? No! Big Fig does not live up to the hype. It sags. Warranty is not easy to deal with. No not even close to 1100 pounds. Not even 300 pounds.

      I'm seriously considering this bed. Can you please be very specific on the cons? I'm a big boy and like a firm bed. Currently have a really expensive Serta and it turns out the 'lifetime Warranty' is 7 years in Illinois. Very Very unhappy about the warranty with current mattress, so this was a concern when looking at the Big Fig. The other claim about sagging...can you please elaborate for me on that?

      Thanks for your honest opinion. It would be helpful to know what made you say long term is not good? Does it start to sag before 7 yrs?

      Sorry, I totally disagree! Hubby is 300, I am 200. Each and every day we sleep in our BF. The sides of the mattress have even held up! I highly doubt you even have a BF with your review.

    All beds have coils and foam. Hybrid means it doesnt have a quilted foam top. (Layers of foam and fiber quilted into the fabric) The bed coils are no different than any other bed on the market. We all know that once you compress and roll a mattress you are causing damage thats why there is a born on date. Even purple has massive amounts of returns. 20 year warranty and 120 night comfort guarantee sounds nice keep in mind its only valid if the company stays in business. Ive seen many companies offer this and usually it takes a couple years and the returns start hitting them so they make it harder to return or start denying claims. This review doesnt hit on why the big fig is stronger. Whats the gauge of the coil? It said it had more coils than the average bed. How? Everybody buys coils from leggit and platt they buy the foam from foamx or carpenter or somebody like that. So explain in 60 inches by 80 inches how big fig beats everybody else in coil count? Are there coils smaller thans standard so they can fit more? If the coild is a thicker guage steel then how are they flattening it with out the constant pressure of the coil damaging the foams? Stearns and foster have intelli coil. A coil inside a coil that is made to hold some weight . Simmons black has a braided cable coil. While the black may be in the premium catagory stearns is reasonably priced.. if you want a stronger bed you wont find it in one that is rolled compressed and being damaged the moment it is made. If you are bigger figure you what you dont like about you bed. Is it sagging? Ok where? Full body impressiom head to toe? Ok lets go hybrid. Most hybrids offer a 3/4 in body impressions allowance.the regular quilted top beds allow the beds to sag 1,5 inches! Do you have a side to side valley going across the bed where your mid section is? Ok lets fix that . Buy a posturized mattress these are common under 1000 bucks in a queen it means that the middle 1/3 of the bed has stronger coils or has been reinforced in some way to make stronger the part of the bed that holds the most weight. Do you have all the sags? Then buy a posturized hybrid. These beds are all in the same price range as the big fig. Sorry i figured since this review sounded like a infomercial id throw the other side out there. Big fig isnt a bad mattress but if you're gonna tell me its a stronger bed prove it. Hard block foam on top isnt more support its just hard coils are the same. I can make a bed feel like a brick giving it the illusion it has support but that is short lived

      Which bed would you recommend? I've been considering the Amore Natural or the one right under it. I like a firmer feel, dislike the feel of memory foam. I'm kind of worried that latex also may be too soft. I have lower back pain also. I'd kind of like to find a more traditional mattress without the heafty price.

    • @markbrannon5748
      @markbrannon5748 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Carmen-us1ew general rule of thumb is firm for stomach sleeping. Plusher side sleepers. There is no perfect bed. My best advice is to listen to your body and find a company who offers returns that aren't gonna hassle you. Online beds im boxes are swamped in lawsuits and defects. Unfortunately you'll want a brick n morter.

      @markbrannon5748 what are your thoughts about sleeponlatex? They sell a firm latex bed in a box. 6 inches of 46 ILD dunlop latex topped with 2 inches 40 ILD dunlop. Thank you. In under 2 yrs I've tried 4 beds. The hybrids keep sagging.

      @markbrannon5748 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @chrismcclure8406 and what do you know that lasts for life? What thing in your life doesn't break down? Warranty only good if the company honors it and are still in business. But ok you have found the only mattress in the world that will last for life. Honestly that scares me even more knowing that. Seems they like playing games. Intellibed , the precurser to purple at 6k gives a 20 year warranty and they cant hack that. Tempur pedic who is widely regarded as being the best quality out there used to give 20 years had to scale back to 10.
