    That was so fun to watch. The addition of another glider adds to the visual impact. So good!

    Thrilling landings as always!
    And those speed runs... Oh well, my local mountains are not as suitable for this, but I do want to do that too!!!

      You can also use the last piece of mountain near the landing field

      @@AndreaGhidiniHangGliding thats one problem, the LZ here is not at the foot of the mountain :) but there are some shorter lines to be done, I'll get to it eventually

    I bought a 4K screen specifically for these kind of awesome videos!
    Excellent music choice!
    1 thing though: Ask Icaro2000 to replace your scruffy speed sleeves with new ones. They embarrassed themselves seeing you fly with these letters falling off! They missed out on this great video!! :p

    So ... uhm... are there statistics on how risky this is?
    Asking for a friend :D
    This looks super fun, but I wouldn't want to deprive all of you from my existence :D

    • @ericoschmitt
      @ericoschmitt ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Living without flying is very risky.

    • @ericoschmitt
      @ericoschmitt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      99% of the risk is in the pilot, not the sport.
      Of course flying fast close to terrain is riskier but this varies a lot for different skill levels and air conditions.
      I want one day to do what Andrea does but I'm not there yet. If I did the same it would probably be 50x more dangerous... He knows that landing zone and his wings flying characteristics very well, plus he's doing it in still air on a non thermic day with little wind.
      "Normal" flying and landing makes risk very very low with modern equipment and proper instruction, and you don't have to do what Andrea does to have endless fun in this sport. His flying style isn't something to recommend for every pilot at all!
      Statistics in our sport are scarce, but from what I know it's no more dangerous than riding a motorcycle.
      And I've been a road cyclist for 5 years before taking up hang gliding. I've been nearly run over or threatened countless times. I was actually run over once, lost a friend run over by a truck, and even ran over a girl who suddenly crossed the road without looking right in front of me. Saw 3x friends cracking helmets. Saw people breaking bones. I've got a bunch of scars too
      I'm afraid of cycling now, and feel comfortable flying. No trucks or cars up there!
      I never got hurt flying, and it's been 3,5 years now.
      If you fly a wing such as the Alto/Sport3/Piuma/Funfex and avoid extreme weather then chances are you will fly your whole life without ever getting hurt.
      So go for it!

      @@ericoschmitt thank you :)
      Afaik, general statistics for hang gliding is 1/10 the death risk of riding a motorcycle.
      But yeah, I was wondering about the
      "close to the ground"- risk.
      And I suppose the "know your skill level, equipment, the air conditions,... "- thing is all there is to do about it.
      Thx :)

      Hi, I think that Érico already explained everything. I can say that as every other activity/sport you choose the difficulty/risk. If you'd like to fly but you want to keep it calm and super safe don't worry, you can do it.
