I’m honestly disgusted by everything and everyone involved. How can these 3, so-called “friends” do something so heinous to Robert, especially when he’s a huge supporter and an ally to LGBTQ+ causes. It’s bad enough that the LGBTQ+ community gets constantly attack and falsely labeled as sexual predators, and the murder and cover up of Robert Wone is only making things worser to that community. Robert deserves justice and his three, so-called “friends”, Dylan, Joe, and Victor needed to be held criminally responsible for what happened to Robert!

just like any job, there are shitty workers and good workers. some departments have their shit together and some don’t. same thing applies to literally any job on the planet. some doctors kill their patients and others don’t :) most of the cases she covers are unsolved, meaning the police work wasn’t good enough to solve the case or it’s just simply a complete mystery. you should be more open minded to that instead of assuming all cops are “sloppy as hell” when they do not even do the detective work, that is what DETECTIVES are for.

I have never heard of this case. After the 911 call, I was sobbing and heartbroken. I felt so much sympathy and empathy for the guy on the call. I actually thought it was all so traumatizing for them and they were terrified of an active killer in the house. i didn’t believe a single word in the 911 call! there were times when he was tripping himself up and going back on what he said. he has two contradictory stories about the door and the scream... first he hears the chime and then the scream. then he says he sees someone running downstairs with a knife? then he recounts and says that he heard a scream and then the door and isn’t sure he saw anyone? THEN he said his partner was downstairs with a rag helping stop bleeding but then a min later he says they are both scared and upstairs? idkkkkk

@AALegalFocus I just happened to watch the Peacock special about Robert's case today. From there I found this 2 yr old episode...and your comment. Today is June 4th, 3 days past what was Robert's birthday, and 3 days before he and his wife's anniversary. It's absolutely heart wrenching that he didn't get the justice he deserved. Let alone the fact that such a beatiful, and genuinely caring soul, who was making a difference in many people's lives, had his young life stolen. Just senselessly taken. I hope his wife, family, and friends find some solace in his memories, and how many people think of him. 🤗💚

I think it's very important that we don't downplay the fetish/torture porn aspect of this case. A lot of people don't like to acknowledge the fact that porn has deep psychological impacts on those that are viewing it. There are _so_ many cases of serial killers and rapists who viewed porn before harming or murdering their victims, and most have admitted that porn either validated their thoughts or desensitized them to the point where they had to start acting out their fantasies because viewing them wasn't enough anymore. Porn is _especially_ egregious when it comes to the fetishization of Asian people, as evidenced by a very recent mass shooting carried out against Asian women in Georgia. I know that youtube suppresses this kind of content, but we shouldn't brush over the fact that Dylan was viewing torture porn. That's a huge issue to me.
Rest in peace, Robert. He seemed like the most loving and kind person and didn't deserve to die this way.

      @bronminett4042 3 ปีที่แล้ว +27

So porn made him do it?
      Honestly this logic is dangerous.
You do realise that when caught people will say whatever they think will work to not take responsibility for there actions. I guess that’s how most of the world watches porn and manages not to kill anyone while a handful of people who kill blame it on porn. People kill people. People are responsible for there actions.

I used to live with a guy, just renting a room in his apartment.
One evening he came home from a trip and had this foreign hitchhiker with him that he had picked up in the middle of a small town. The scruffy kind and he stayed that night litterally sleeping on the floor in the living room in a sleeping bag.
I wasnt comfortable with this but what can I do without making a huge scene in front of this guy at night.
Next morning/noon I got up and as I open the door to the living room the hiker is laying on the floor in his sleeping bag, you can imagine I jumped up as I didnt expect that.
My friend wasnt even home.. I texted him, and he was out on a hike and didnt plan to be home anytime soon. I had planned to leave as it was saturday at noon, but I couldnt just let this stranger be alone in the apartment and not be able to lock the door after me either. Im also sceptical of strangers like that. It’s nice to be trustfull but not to be naive. He could have been a violent one or he could have stolen some stuff and just left.

I think the 3 guys are extremely suspicious but do disagree with Josh about the lawyers. Just because they got lawyers doesn't make them look sus. No matter what the case may be, guilty or not guilty, if cops want to question and interrogate you ALWAYS get a lawyer before. Too many times have people been arrested/charged for something they didn't do. Now everything else about those guys and their 'story' is suspicious and it's sad that the family may never know the truth and get justice.

I've always thought that the fact that there were 3 stab wounds is very telling, almost as if each of them stabbed him so that nobody could tell on the others without going down themselves. I just feel so bad for Robert's wife Kathy, knowing that her husband's close friend at best knows who killed him and at worst actually killed him. If he was stabed after, the heart wouldn't be pumping and thus not forcing the blood to flow. I think the one of the guys stabed him afterwards to make their break in story more believable, and to try and prevent the cops from noticing this was a sexual assault turn murder. I'm inclined to believe it was guy in the room on the same floor, just by the way the first responders said he just went in his room and closed the door. And the other two are covering for him. And they'll never come clean bc then they'll be charged with an array of crimes. Just my opinion. By the way totally dig the podcast. Bravo guys.

The thing that enrages me the most is that they were "friends" with Robert. Robert didn't judge them for their sexuality or relationships with each other. He didn't hesitate to call them and ask for a place to stay the night. Yet, he was drugged, sexually assaulted, and murdered in their house. I don't know who or how many of them were involved, but you do not do that to a friend. If my romantic partner did this to a friend of mine, I would be running for the hills because they are clearly an evil and dangerous person, I wouldn't help them cover up the murder!!

Probably my favorite podcast right now. I remember when I use to watch Kendall and they first started mile higher.
I completely forgot about the lights out podcast until you guys mentioned it, so I know what I'm gonna be binge watching next!
I always play it at 1.5X speed, makes it the perfect speed for me

Could you guys please do an episode on the Hart family? Two moms that adopted 2 sets of 3 siblings. Crazy story, if you haven't heard of it you should look into it. I have been listening to a podcast about it and am obsessed. Would love to hear yall's perspective on the case.

This makes me so upset. This would be my worst nightmare as a person similar to him. I pray for NO ONE to go through this. Unsolved case for the nicest people in the world breaks my heart.

Are there any petitions we can sign or ways to get his case looked at? Thank you for bringing attention to this. there are so many red flags and it feels so obviously they did it, now we just need to get justice for Robert.

I’ve seen other videos on this case but none of them have really ever gone into who Robert was as a person and the impact that his death had on others. I really appreciate that you guys put the victims first and foremost in your podcasts/videos unlike some other true crime channels. Love y’all ❤️ really hope this case is solved one day (even tho it’s obvious what happened) and his killer/s are brought to justice. Robert seemed like such an amazing human being. 😞

Getting an attorney should never be viewed as a suspicious activity. On the first day of law school, you are literally taught to never talk to cops without an attorney present
