I used to feel silly for spending hours sitting in the floor at big box stores searching every leaf for variegation... until... someone in my local plant group found a highly variegated green on green for $45 and resold it for $2k!!🤑 It was minty and beautiful🥰
I went to Home Depot yesterday for some stuff and I looked at every single monstera leaf! Maybe one day…
I always look at the Monstera but it would have to be really variegated for me to bother. I can't get excited about a tiny mole of variagation!
Seed propagation causes a grex, the grex will have variable plants. You might even get new cultivars.

Wow! I did not know there were so many varieties of Monstera I have a Thai Constellation my son gave me that I struggle to keep it going. So I can’t imagine having a super rare type. The one you gave away looks beautiful!
Thais are notorious for being difficult! They are basically a lab mutant, haha! Some of the more super rare ones have been cultivated from natural sport mutations and are much easier going. A Thai will definitely be on my wishlist once I have the space!

I scored one of those “sports” at a big box store and cut it way down to just a wet stick. The wet stick had green variegation on it, so I put the aerial root in LECA and it took off. The green on green has really grown in me. I love your new style and format of videos!
Oh, and it seems to be leggy/vining like an Albo small form. All these diff variations!
