The seated calf machine is my favorite way to do calf exercises. In my gym they have several more expensive dedicated calf machines but I still mostly use a similar looking machine. It's old but the design is perfect.
If I had the room, this is actually a piece I'd want to have. Seated calf raises are a bit of a pain to set up without a dedicated machine. Looks like a well built piece. Great review!
Thanks Carter, it’s definitely a lot easier to train them w the machine. I saw your setup with the Rhino and it definitely looks like a pain for setup.
@@GoreckiFit Yeah, and I typically do them last. So by the time I get to them, I don't feel like setting it up, so I usually end up just doing BW single leg calf raises lol.
Nice job on the review. I literally hate training calves so I don't train them at all. I've trained them in the past, hard, but never saw a change in them and it hurt so bad too, so I said no more calf training. Oh gracious, I did not realize calf machines are so expensive. I can't imagine what a Prime Fitness one would cost. U got a cool machine, U keep that Body Solid one forever!!!!!! $690 to my door, oh not me, I'll stick to using the bottom step on the stairs in my basement, sit or stand, but I used always stand but now I do neither. Take Care Cool little machine U
@@GoreckiFit I know me too My calves symmetry wise look fine for my body so I said to heck with them. Saves time in my training too, one less bodypart I have to train Take Care
So when you have a bent knee like you do with this machine, it’s gonna be more emphasis on your soleus muscle compared to the gastrocnemius muscle. I train seated and standing to try and hit both muscles for calves.

Yeah seated calves is just a hard one to load without a dedicated machine, so it’s always nice to have access to one.
Thanks so much for the great review! We really appreciate it.
No problem!! Great seated calf machine!!
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to quality review this piece of equipment. I'm looking to grab one here asap!
Glad it helped!!
Thanks so much! Let us know if you ended up purchasing this piece!

@@TheCarterHomeGym 😂 I can definitely understand that.. especially when your workouts take like 2 hours since that App is trying to take you out.
@@GoreckiFit Exactly 😆😆😆
I really like the curved footplate. This machine is the mayor of painville if you push this exercise. Great review on a quality piece!
Agreed, such a nice stretch at the bottom and it hurts so good!!
Nice job on the review.

Thanks Bobby, I train my calves plenty and they still don’t want to grow. Price was a lot better in 2016 for sure!! Take care man!!

You've had it since 2016 and your calves still look like this? Just kidding! Great review, very helpful! Thanks!
🤣 yep, still a work in progress
If you got the room, it seems like a great piece!!!
Yeah man, hardly takes up any space for me.
I consider this the best seated calf raise invented
I love it!!
High praise, thank you so much!
Do you find that the stopper limits your rom at the top of the movement?
No, if you adjust the stopper at the bottom of seat, you can get it wide open to give you a complete full ROM.
How would you compare to standing calf raises? Better in some ways, or just different?
