For me, I see it as both, but I also think for people who are asking the question and given 9 people have given this comment a thumbs up, out of respect to viewers AND product providers a simple statement could/should be made in product placement videos.
Does the light work without turning on the fan?
Yes! You can use the remote or the app to just turn on the light if you don't need the fan.
Is the light brighter than most other all the lights that I have are not that bright
The great thing about the DREO fan is that you can adjust the brightness level and color temperature on both the remote and the app.
