If you have ears to hear, hear and understand you are probably one of GODS lost sheep that needs to be found there is this hole in your heart and you tried many times and many things and many ways to fill it and still are but it’s not working and it keeps getting bigger and bigger you would be around multiple people and still feel lonely and work so hard to take those bad thoughts away etc but let me tell you JESUS is the one who can fill that whole in your heart JESUS is that missing piece you’ve been looking for, that peace that’s never ending that true love and joy and happiness it’s in JESUS not of this world but of the kingdom of heaven and if you want to accept him in your heart all you have to do is believe in the gospel A-admit that you’re a sinner and that you need forgiveness, B-Believe that JESUS CHRIST died for your sins and rose again, and C-Confess your faith in JESUS CHRIST and his lordship over your life and you will be saved and this amazing feeling is not a drug it won’t last a couple hours but forever eternally bc it is not of this world but of GOD who sits on the throne of heaven forever and ever HALLELUJAH

One of most important values of indigenous people is that no one can OWN the land. Our Geek needs to edit the references to 'indian-owned' land.

Now that’s a lie and the biggest misconception I’ve ever heard just because some tribes believe that you couldn’t own the land many tribes that lived in the 13 colonies did not believe in that ideology

The reason it is under Imperial rule is due to the fact that the United States is a foreign corporation held in the city of London. Look it up, it's a business. Also, pay close attention to the banking act.

According to the federal government A. U. S citizen is one that is born in the 10 square miles of Washington DC and/or its Territories, such as Puerto Rico or Guam. If that is not the case, then you are something else claiming to be AU. S citizen by proxy by Cor even. Out of negligence

Problem with the video: At the time of Oregon purchase through Sutter’s occupation of Sacramento, had skipped the region between the Pacifica area and Southern Oregon.

How did founders of the U.S religious beliefs fuel the idea of manifest destiny? I would think that would have a lot to do with the idea of spreading a positive way of life in a free country.

  • @bbbutler3

This is a very good summary about the evolving character of the idea of Manifest Destiny.
I have a disagreement, though, with the initial idea that the narrator puts forward from the sermon by John Winthrop of "The City of a Hill". Nowhere in the sermon does Winthrop speak to the political future of the North American continent, nor does he endorse the idea of political democracy in reference to the unfolding character of the Church in this new continent. He speaks only to the Christian Church, not the political, economic or cultural aspects of the future of what was to become the United States.
This is an important point. Later writers (and especially journalists) did, indeed, sieze upon the "City on a Hill" image. Since the majority of those involved in the American Revolution identified as Christian, the idea of the Church and the political state that became named "The United States" became conflated in the minds of those who may have seen the post-millenial progress of the Church (which was a common model of Puritian thinking at the time and persisted until the riise of premillenial dispendationalism in the late 19th Century) as co-terminous with the progress of American culture and politics. Until Catholics, Asians and others began to immigrate to the US in the mid-1800s, most Americans viewed the country as "Christian" in the sense that white Protestants meant at the time.
Another aspect of this video did not cover the emerging conflict between the political and economic motivations behind the idea of Manifest Destiny and its obvious moral conflict with the Biblical mandate to "make disciples of all nations", which was present to the minds of many Christian believers at the time. I'm sure there were those who were deeply scandalized by the Executive Orders of the Polk and Jackson administrations to exterminate those who many Chrisitans believed were candidates for hearing and believing the Good News. Not every Christian in the U.S. at the time equated the Native Americans with the Canaanites. The former did not know anything of the power of God demonstrated in thier lives; the latter were quite aware of the progress of the Israelites as their God crushed the Egyptian army as well as how that same God treated the Ebionits, the Moabites and others well before they came to the Vale of Shittim. The former were pissed at the invasion of their land; latter were justifiably terrified because they knew the history of Abraham and everything after that. To that extent, the myth of Maifest Destiny was a convenient tool for genocide by white gentiles against red gentiles; the occupation of Canaan was a different scenario that was undertaken by the God who had identified himself with a bunch of messed up Jews.Such is sometimes the outcome of bad hermeneutics: lots of people, tens of thousands, millions, die.

Hi - I'm looking to obtain the John L. O'Sullivan primary source article from the New York Morning News, I'm not sure if the photo at the bottom 14:23 is an actual photocopy of the primary source or not, but I figured I'd give it a shot to see if you have the source in hand! I have been looking for days but have not had any luck.

I think you are doing good things but I have some criticism:
    - You are talking really slow, talking faster would help because it's hard to concentrate
    - Maybe no music? Combined with the slow-talking it is hard to concentrate. Keep it if you are not trying to help people in school, but this format makes me think you want to help people in school so I recommend losing the music.
