This was when I never agreed to her that she was cancelled for 20 years. In fact her career went well. She was even a host of PBB for 16 years, and we have seen her leading on different dramas and movies. She became a singer, an actor, a host and also one of the biggest artist of ABS-CBN. She wasn't cancelled, people admired and looked up to her. This is to say that I think she described the level of social anxiety she had in words of "cancel culture". She admitted she's an introvert so I won't be surprised if she is vulnerable to social anxiety. Is she cancelled now? I don't think so. She have mastered the show industry, knows how to play things and move people into forming opinions that will be more beneficial to her. She isn't cancelled. In fact no one is stopping her from doing her career, and she thrives at the top until now.

Ive been cancelled millions of times just like the way I also cancelled people a lot of times as well. Im guilty of so many things. I am in that zone of slowly forgiving myself and not to hard on myself anymore
What about accountability? As an influential person, one must be responsible in what they put out there. And one must be careful not to be boxed inside their echo chamber, their comfort zone. I hope the cries of the people offended and affected negatively by your content will not be reduced by just “cancel culture” Influencers are culture directors (but with the help of social media, people with not a lot of following can have a say, collectively) and by not listening to viewers, you are also cancelling them out (in an entirely different way, of course). With that being said, I agree with the quote Toni shared - the greatest betrayal is when you betray yourself. Make content and be as creative and free as you like. But also be responsible and mindful :) And please don’t look down on viewers and refer to them as mere haters when they offer a different side of the coin. Their expression might have an aggressive tone but it’s not a personal attack to you.
Will - imperfection should be acceptable by anyone - a critique, bashers or trolls.
