  • On Parliament Hill, there is worry about the safety of federal politicians. Increasingly intense political rhetoric, division on the streets and online is causing some politicians to step away altogether.
    Mackenize Gray reports.

      @@mazedar_tv If I ever got to be PM my first action would find ways to downsize the government. I would create a new Minister position where it's their job to find inefficiencies and downsize. In their mandate, they would report to the House the hit list of things to go. Every time that minister gets fired because of political smearing, I'll bring in a replacement to do the job. The government needs a hatchet man. It will be the worst job you can get as a politician.

    basic common decency has died in our country and has been gone for some time like a decade people living in shipping containers. In this country you rely on your self period. The kindness of strangers can no longer be relied upon.

    • @va3svd
      @va3svd หลายเดือนก่อน

      If only that were true. A massive swath of the country expects their every want and whim to be paid for by other people’s tax dollars, and the government obliges. Except reality interrupts because there isn’t the means to do all that, but the government who promised all this can’t lose face and rescind it, nor can they raise the funds voluntarily, so they use the central bank to print currency to fund it all. Before you know it, spaghetti sauce costs $10 and you can’t figure out when your basic living expenses got so expensive as you look into downsizing your life.
      Travel around the world; Canada is still one of the most decent countries on earth. Hell, the little country church I attend dipped into its own budget the past three years to donate to our local hospital, even after the health establishment closed our church during the event, while leaving all the government operations running. That’s pretty damn decent, in my book.
      (Oh, the municipality reciprocated by painting a rainbow flag on the crosswalk right outside our building in the dead of night one Saturday, blocking our application to move a portable onto our property for our overflowing Sunday School, and then trying to fine us $40k for insufficient parking, which we had to pay a lawyer to beat in court. Seems decency only flows in one direction.)

Taxes are something that is Canadian as created in in Canadian land long time ago. I actually don't see any thing wrong with taxes especially that Canada is getting larger in populations. One think lol would be fun to get some of that tax filter cash bigger to have a brak and be aboe to buy techncally everything you need these days in general vehicle few motor toys able to visit anyplace in Canada with worrying for cash flow ocasional restaurants and nice house apartment and soem moment left over to invest to stay ahead of inflation and nice clothes just enough for like 30 years ago. But there is not enough positions for that oppurtinity to get a chance, its impossible for me. Taxes don't matter anymore it's ratios and lost of factors that don't allow it for me ever. It's supply of demand never mind taxes. Canada has everything the rest is niche somethings. Canada is more maintance and it's maintained. Winters are long and sustainable employment like it was 30 years ago is not Canada wide therefore its squized more compressed and conservative, taxed. Goverment always needs taxes they didn't start the goverment for free.
