Razorblade tears is really good. But grief might be a trigger. Two fathers avenge their gay sons. Very suspenseful. I would say it is a thriller. I wouldn't be surprised if this turned into a movie. But on the flip side i wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't turned into a movie, because to me the book was written like a movie. So good. I believe S.A Cosby did a really good job at unveiling every point and topic he wanted to touch on while creating an intense reading experience.

I 100 percent get the change in book interests and u can't keep everything without feeling overwhelmed. Something that helps me is giving away books after I read them if I know I won't reread them. Hope that helps 😊
Try dnf'ing books. With all the books on your tbr, if you're not getting what you want from it, why keep reading? It's better to dnf, than give a low give rating.
I love S A Cosby’s books. His thrillers move slower than others, keeping pace with the culture of book location (Majority of his books occur in the South.). Cosby spends more time delving into his character’s past and this makes it very interesting. I enjoyed all his books and recommend trying the audio versions. The narrator is very talented. Since the themes are darker than your normal reads, I recommend trying Cosby’s books later on.

omg please dont get rid of thank you for sharing by rachel runya katz! it is one of my favorites and such a great emotional romance, with a big focus on emotional growth! but one of the themes is grief (male mc lost his dad before the beginning of the book), so it may not be the best for you to read right now, but i think you would really enjoy it later on

Snow King and A Worthy Love are such good QUICK reads. They are both on KU so no need to keep as trophies 🏆 lol. I only buy KU books if they are 4-5 stars. Snow king is a great Christmas read.
Have you read any of The Wall of Winnepeg and Me? I struggled with it. It’s not dual POV and grumpy/ sunshine which was a rough combo for me. Grumpy/sunshine works for me when I can understand what the grump is thinking. I might finish but 😬

When I started reading again after college I gravitated towards urban romances written by Zane now I enjoy reading historical fiction or contemporary literature….I believe we evolve as readers and seek out books with more depth and substance….two great books I just read are The Personal Librarian and The House of Eve by Sadequa Johnson ❤

I love a good unhaul. I found One of Our Kind to be very problematic. So many things troubled me as a Black woman.
I’ve heard the same thing. The reviews are pretty low on it, which is unfortunate because I usually love her books!
