I have no idea how you pulled up to select Wix or Editor to find a new template, or create a new page. You don't show what you clicked so this video is useless for me.
You said for new people to follow you step by step, but you didn't show what step to take to get to the new template page, so I was lost from the beginning.
Another reason @3:50 for not seeing the same settings, as was in my case, that my browser cache (local storage) needed to be cleared. The copy/paste feature was ghosted.

You are trying to use editor x? You could convert your Wix website to Editor x or try clicking on adding a new page and it will take you to editor x. Send me a message to better help you here vitzael.com

And will this not cause any incompatibilities and errors in the website? I don't mean visual errors(which can be fixed if you restyle it a bit) but I mean errors in the back code which could Ness the website functionality and how Google sees it.
The only thing that won't transfer is the app store, in this case you can just export products and move them into the new template or if you are updating a current site you can copy some of the designs and apply current store app. If you need help let me know

Will this affect SEO? I've worked hard on my SEO but really want to incorporate a new template into my website. Do you know if this copies URLS and SEO work from the existing page to the new page?
You can use the same keywords if you are using the exact same content and just changing the design. Manually you do have to add the description to the new pages because this process creates it as new pages and each page has its own description. Let me know if you still have questions and i can help you.

You can update the SEO if new images where added but it won't

I think Wix patched the copy feature, cuz I can’t see copy when I right click or ctrl c.

Once you are inside the editor on your left top corner you will see, SITE, SETTINGS, DEV MODE, HELP, UPGRADE
