I've been watching some of your videos as of late.....the ones on the boulevard have been fun for me since I ride a 2005 c50 that I transformed into a custom hard bagger. In each one you talk about the "clunky" transmission.... I got to tell ya, I like the clunky....it gives me both a tangible and audible indication that I've actually made into gear.... I know it may seem weird, but I like it.

Been riding a 2013 M90 for 6 yrs now, bought it brand new. M90 is NOT a beginner's bike. This is a powerful, heavy sport cruiser that has a unique seat and foot peg to handlebar arrangement that places the driver in a shoulders forward, butt back , almost racing position. It's a blast to ride, but to set it up for long distance cruising would be like using a quarter horse to pull a buggy. This bike is problem free and totally dependable . Not one mechanical problem with it in 40k miles and 6 yrs. Plugs, tires, oil, coolant and filters is all it's cost to run. I still get compliments on it every ride. Best bike I've ever owned.

2nd video of yours I have watched. Love the words of wisdom. I've been wanting a motorcycle and never ridden before but aesthetically I've always wanted the M109r. But after watching your review on it I'm wondering if the m90 would be more ideal or if even that would be too much bike for a first time rider.

Fitting a 190/55 rear tyre on mine was one of the best things I did for the handling, makes them way more flickable than a bike of their size has any right to be. Replace the standard shock too if you can.

I bought the C109RT and it's a beastly powerhouse. But as Sean and others have stated, it is somewhat lacking in the handling department. I think eventually I'll go for something a bit more nimble but still powerful- possibly a Roadstar, Voyager, Concourse, etc...

The C90 (C for cruiser) model has a different motor. The M for (Muscle) is an all together new 1500 motor in that year. Keep in mind, this bike borrows cues from the sport bike line. I have my 2009 bought NEW and it has been great, only my second bike ever. Thanks for the presentation.

Very pretty blue color and lots of chrome- you can see this bike- most cage drivers can't see all blacked out bikes- therefor running over them even at stop lights. I can handle the big bikes but problem is I am short and need controls where I can CONTROL the bike properly. Not one manufacturer addresses this. That negates a custom built bike which could run 40-60 grand. I need a hot cruiser that doesn't scrape parts, can get with it from 80mph, and be comfortable for 500 miles a day. When I get on a bike I cruise at 70 to 85mph. Don't have time to dork around. Love the M109R LTD EDs. Just not in black. Great video.

I appreciate you saying you were 6'2". To your point about sizes of riders and your reach to the bars, it would be GREAT if you would give info on your arm length (shirt size) and inseam size, and take side video of each bike with you holding the grips and feet on the controls. Also, if you (or your staff) could make measurements (like the magazines do) from the seat to the bar, and seat to foot controls, this would be very helpful. You probably would not want to give your measurements in very vid, but you cost post it as a link in each video. As, most guys are not 6-2, if you could film a guy from your shop 5'9" or 5'10" sitting on the bike and accessing the controls that would also be great. Happy Easter.

Classic old-school cruiser. No unnecessary rider modes, cruise control, or ABS. I agree, the 200mm rear tire is not too wide, not too narrow. I got used to the clunky tranny on my 2009 M90. Still plenty fast. In 3rd you'll hit 85mph really quick with even a moderate pull. How often do you drag race on the street anyway?.. The better handling and lower price is why I prefer it to the M109R.

Just as a curiosity: It is much more affordable to have this type of motorcycle in the USA... well, in fact "Suzuki BRASIL" only produced the M1500 (M90) until 2014 and finished the production of the M1800 (M109) now in 2020. It is difficult to compare prices but this motocyle being sold in USA for approximately $ 6k, here in Brazil it would have a price of $ 12k. 🙄

P.S. Big fat tires are great as long as they are tall too. Tall meaning side wall height. Low pro tires do not ride comfortably and transfer all those bumps to your back. Your roads on this video are like glass smooth compared to ours out here. I am a fan of tall fat rubber on both ends of the bike. Been legally riding since 1969 and prefer the previous sentence.

They handle much better with a 190/55 rear tyre and ohlins suspension, happy days.

I can't get past the weight of these cruisers. I think I'll go for a sport touring bike next as a compromise for my next bike.

Riding With Jon in fairness, the weight is held low and helps keep the ride plush and stable for distance riding. If you want to flick it through the bends then, as you suggest, a sportsbike is undeniably better.

coming from sport bike then sport tourer VFR800 I am looking to get comfy cruiser 109C ,Valkyrie or Vulcan 2000.At 55 my body wants to relax now but still have fun. Weight on most cruisers are carried low so does not effect handling.I've seen old laddies ride 900lb Goldwings...

You are wrong about the tire size of the C109R because its a 240 width as well as the M109R

Nice engine. But all these types of bikes are too heavy. Check out the weight of the 1670 cc MT-01. Good video and happy Easter to you all.

Hey man love your channel always good stuff. I'm looking to pick up my first bike in the very near future and I have some experience riding a dirt bike and an old 90s GS500. Interested in getting a Harley and I'm debating on the Sportster 1200, the 48, a Dyna Super Glide or a vrod. What would you recommend as a first bike for myself? I've always been a little intimidated by a larger heavier motorcycle being that I'm only 5 10 and 145 lb. Have a great day and God bless

I actually like the way the 90 rides a little better than the 109, it feels more part of me, and not something I'm just sitting on...if that makes sense. The performance is there, I mean it's no Vmax, or sportsbike, but it's something better in ways, it's just a very good experience, especially out in the open where there's rarely any traffic!
