I read in "be here now", a guy locked up in an asylum asked a learned man. When I say I am God.. they lock me up, when you say so, people praise you, why? The learned man responds, because not only do I say I am God, I also say you are God and everyone else is God." Swamiji, how does one see God in stones, other non living things? Is that the 'manas' consciousness..the consciousness of the matter ..the collective memory at the elemental stage?
I hope you must have gotten the answer by now following the lectures but anyway let me also try to help if I may. It is one awareness that lights up your body, mind, thoughts and the whole universe. Everything including your body mind thoughts are Jada, objects, not just those stones. You the subject being aware lends existence to this whole samsara. The multiplicity, the colors, all attributes are superimposition, like apparent information, the base is the awareness. If you believe in story of evolution, you can say the colors, likes and dislikes are because of survival, there is no inherent reality to those superpositions, if you are capable of believing in God, you can understand it as leela.
