The original last three notes were not sung powerfully. Don Robertson revealed Elvis called him asking for his approval to finish the song this way and he happily agreed. Great joint effort, Elvis of course sings all of Don's songs beautifully.

This is an obscure but non the less a great, great song by Don Robertson. It is sadly...very underrated and few people will ever know that for Elvis....near the end...he did not know and was not told that he had bone cancer and still went on and performed concerts.
