Too right. I`m not much into progressive, I dont think I ever heard a Cattaneo tune (honstl my fault) but always seen him on the posters, so clicked, and right off the bat, just takeaway on takeaways, so much relatable. Just got new Sennheisers, butwhen he dug into the Technics, I started missing them, he foldable earpieces are truly brilliant, and now with coiled cable.. Yeah nerdy but good!
I would suggest stating to look into the Denon media players tho, as one single unit , among other things, is able to mix two tunes together should the other player fail. Very nice!
I adore Hernan Cattaneo. Met him in 2014 and he signed my Perfecto Presents cd, it was at his (first) Balance launch. Everyone was getting their Balance Cd signed and I whipped out the Perfecto Presents, he was thrilled 🤩 absolute gentleman. 😊Much love from Ireland.

It's great to hear a new interview to Hernan from you, the new thing to ask, the confort he has to have an interview from you, it's amazing to hear that ( from an Argentinian perspective all the new things you have to ask him, and we are tired to hear the same questions every year from an argentinian interviewer) keep going and keep interviewing this generation of Dj's from your knowledge

With these in depth interviews that focus on strategy, tactics and technical issues you are feeding the community with the utmost leverage, because it enables inspiring and upcoming dj's - who will reach many people, so there is a multiplier effect - to learn from the top guys.

I was at gatecrasher Ibiza circa 98’ and Tiesto was playing before he was huge and again 20-30 people on the floor. Nuts when you see the crowds he plays to now. Hernan is a genius by the way. Him and Nick are special

Really great to hear Hernan talk about his passion for DJing and wanting learn as much as he could from other DJ’s back in the day. I like how he compares playing regularly to a sports person keeping match fit. Cool interview guys 😊

13:55 This is a very very good question. The point is that here in Argentina Hernan Cattaneo it's no longer underground scene. That's why many people who like that music scene don't go anymore. Over the years Hernan has become commercial. Everyone goes to a Hernan gig and if you don't go you're not cool.
By the way, amazing interview. Good and interesting questions. Hernan have many many interviews but its always saying the same.

Hernan is about as far from commercial as you can get. :) His passion for music really shows through in this interview. Even without the crowds he would still be making his music , and he is making the music his. :))

From the time I have discovered resident, I stopped using spotify. Have heard 200 plus so far. One thing I d love to know is how does Hernan make resident sets while he is travelling?

I somehow find questions repetitive year after year. Be keen to know how much music does he listen to each day, his record collections, what does he do to relax, work life balance and reflection on family support.

In Spanish…you don’t pronounce the ‘H’ it’s a silent letter in the language. So, you say Ehr-nan Ka-ta-neo (but say it fast)
