Nick is the kind of person to point an old guy to the bathroom and find out the next day that the old guy was a billionaire with no family who just died and gave him all his wealth.
I think a more Nick situation would be he would have somebody bump into him from behind, throw out a punch out of reflex, then turns out he just knocked out a purse snatcher and gets generously rewarded only to invest in stocks that seem nice at the time but drop a week later and end up with a net profit of like $80. He always gets cursed after getting lucky, but then usually gains some kind of net profit anyways, like when he got 4 stars from chance time only to lose 3 of them to Bowser. Vernias meanwhile always goes neutral and Eevee always goes negative.

Vern's chat was the worst by far though. They were trying to get him to make the wrong play, then when he did what he was intending to do and stated he wanted to do before anyone said anything anyways, they spent the next hour or two calling him a puppet.

The first couple of turns were some of the most insane and chaotic stuff ever, only for the final couple of turns to be the most downer stuff ever
I think the final few turns were pretty alright. Because of Brent's throw, it came down really really close between him and Nick, to where it kept going back and forth until the last turn. It's way better than the other games.
@@Endershock1678 oh I dont mean they were bad, its more like, compared to the first 5 or so turns where there was a lot of high energy, chaos and craziness, the last 5 turns felt far more Tame and mute, and it felt like they had just given up hope of beating Nick.

Brent was winning for most of the last 5 turns, it was actually pretty heated. I think it’s more Eevee gave up and it more or less came through in his video.

@@mikalepoot6634 Because Nick is a scheming, backstabbing, and overall douchey individual who can and will manipulate whoever he can to win. Brent relies on mostly himself, but will call upon others to try and help him if he feels he needs it. Brent isn't a puppet master, he's the Tank of the party for a reason. And there is also a reason why Nick was a Rogue in MagicTheNoah's videos.

@@mikalepoot6634 I think the difference is that Brent isn't outright malicious, even when he places his self interests above the others, unlike Nick who is very quick to betray any alliance he makes. Brent wasn't aiming to harm Eevee (as shown by the moments where he'd unintentionally harm Eevee and apologize right after), especially since they had a common enemy there. Plus Brent has been shown to value alliances (or at least cooperation) to a certain degree, like in Eevee's "Mario Party but we're Trapped in Prison" when he was still willing to maintain his alliance with Eevee despite the latter switching sides, in Brent's "Don't EVER betray me in Mario Party" where he took revenge on Nick for killing him in Honeycomb Havoc, or even in this video where he did the less optimal play and stole a star from Vern instead of Nick. Not to mention there were parts where Brent was actively rooting for Eevee. But idk I'm very biased towards those two so-

Anti Villains actually want something good to happen through their evil actions. Sophist just wants to win and if he can't NO ONE gets to. He doesn't care who he screws over cause he has a "fuck the world" mentality in these games(especially more now due to his constant losses and bad luck). In a way, all of them are villains of each others story. Cause when push comes to shove, ALL of them will take the chance and screw over everybody else to take the win. There’s no joke here, watching this game genuinely made me feel miserable. Never in my life where I thought that someone losing so badly would make me feel sad.
I thought I was the only one. I kept watching in the hopes that Sophist would be given any type of mercy, but it just sucked to keep watching him be beat down by the game. Hearing the frustration in his voice at points while everyone else was laughing and having fun was just hard to watch :(

@@sqweeb6244 What also sucks is Sophist wasn't the only one. I was hanging around Vern's chat at the time, and his chat wouldn't shut up about him being a puppet so much after it happened. It got to the point where he was getting genuinely angry and frustrated with his chat. Whether or not you agree with that play, that kind of behavior is not okay, and I'm hard willing to bet Brent would have banned everyone in his chat who did the same.

@@Endershock1678 I feel like Vernias is generally the most positive one in Party Crashers and I love him for it, but he SERIOUSLY screwed literally everyone and king-made Nick in this game when it was so insanely obvious the play was to not warp with Brent and let him ruin Nick. There was a clear right and wrong choice to be made, one that clearly benefited the rest at having a chance at winning without throwing himself under the bus in any way, and the other was being blinded by greed to the point of giving the game away.
Not only was it out of character for him, but he has been recorded MULTIPLE times going after Nick and Eevee for making greedy or dumb plays and then wondering why Brent wins so often, and Nick would try to call him a puppet when the truth was that Brent was giving him a fair solution or the best play to make. This time he actually WAS a puppet and didn't bother using his brain at all and was a massive hypocrite in comparison to his previous takes.
I don't feel bad for him at all honestly: I hope that his chat upsetting him made him realize he was just upset with his the consequences of his own actions and the fact that people were reminding him about it.
Between the weird lack of positivity coming from Vern, Nick seemingly embracing his role of being the toxic one in the group, and Eevee slowly going insane...well, it's all just personas on the internet, right?

I know that sooner or later, they will get to play on your map, on Waluigi's board, and I want to see how surprised they are when they see the gimmick for that map.

One time in Mario Party 2 I was playing with my sister against two CPUs and on the first turn, one of the CPUs rolled a 1, got a hidden block, and it had a star in it. We then reset the game.

Vern's logic is that he is better than Eevee and Nick, and realizes that if he doesn't make Brent's game a living nightmare he'll win.
He needs to support his enemies to topple the demon lord that is Brent. Though he does get Gaslighted by Nick alot.
Nick has a low bar and that's not to get last, which kinda ends with him having the most fun out of them all by knocking someone into 4th place.

Thinking about the warp block incident with vern, I think that it would have been better if vern held the warp for the next turn. Because seeing that sophist won the round that turn, he could have stolen a star from brent after he stole twice from nick. Doing this would have made it a three way tie between brent, nick, and sophist. Afterwards, vern could warp. And if he warps with brent, then he would have gotten a star anyway. That's just my thoughts though...
Vernias is very easily manipulated if you haven’t learned that already. He also likes to think he’s smart at the exact wrong moment when you actually need him to do a play that benefits him and then he ends up throwing incredibly hard.
It wouldnt have mattered because of Bonus Stars. Brent would have pulled too far ahead and its ALWAYS a mistake to assume he cant come back.

Has anyone noticed that Eevee's lucky number seems to be 5? 5 in here to get Bowser and get his money back; 5 in the "all spaces have event in Peach's cake" video to get chance time last turn; and most importantly, 5 to get the red space and hence the red space bonus in "the richest controls us" video to win the whole thing. Maybe there are more that I've missed. Hope to see a lucky 5 again :)
I said it before, I'll say it again. Vern's warp block play was the objectively correct play for giving him a chance at winning.
If he let Brent go through the play, Brent would be further ahead than Nick was at the time, and he would be down one star because Brent would likely roll high and go past the star, making it impossible for him to get and putting him down one star. It also puts more pressure on Brent to use the watch and buy more turns, since he wasn't sure if he would use it at the time. If the game played exactly the same but Vern let Brent make that play, he would have ended in last, Brent would have won without question.

Vernias is actually really lucky in these games. Its just that his luck is rarely good enough. People just act like he is unlucky because he is less lucky than Nick.

Saw this one before the upload. Most insane start for a game which led basicly to nothing.
And about the whole Vern warp block debate, this was the best and safest option for HIMSELF. Not for Brent. Not for Nick, for HIMSELF. The guy didn't do that to make one or the other win, he just did what was the best option for him. Weither or not anybody said something, he would had wrapped anyway since this was the best option for HIM

While that is true… that opportunity would still have a chance at being available the next turn with Brent bouncing off of the skeleton key gate and going by Boo, potentially leaving him even closer to the star, and therefore would make the warp block play less susceptible to The Vern Virus.
@@infinityheart_tm9270 yeah but here's the thing: brent wpuld then have two stars. Both options are bad for Verniss. And I don't know if I'm correct here but Brent could also.have gone past the star. So that was easily Vern's safest option.
@@InumiDarkness What you fail to see is that Vern was basically screwed either way, and had only one chance to make a good play that would TRULY cover for himself, and that would have been attempting to warp with Brent AFTER he reversed and stole from Nick once.
If Vern had actually gave it proper thought instead of just being puppeteered by Nick (which is ironic given how Nick has called him a puppet in the past, yet is the most manipulative of the group and tends to do that with Vern a lot) he could have gone for that play and maybe even come out with a win.
Instead he SOMEHOW decided to king-make Nick and get his star stolen by Brent and thus be in a losing position anyway for pissing off Brent, while Nick at the time didn't have anything to strike Vern back with. He put Brent into a situation to have a better chance of grabbing and item to screw him over, and he took that opportunity while also giving him what I believe to be a proper and fair lecture about how dumb his earlier choice was.
If it wasn't for how cursed Nick is to fall to his own luck and greed by fate, it was over and the win was his. Brent had the game near the end and made the choice to make the game more interesting, and that was essentially what he was trying to do by trying to punish Nick for browbeating Eevee while also trying to win.
Vern just needs to make his decisions quicker, honestly, so that he is less pressured by his friends and can avoid getting dumped on like this.
Anyone say vern threw or helped nick doesn't understand that him getting lucky and swapping with brent was objectively the best play for himself. Otherwise instead of fighting nick and brent (with his bonus stars) being just one star ahead if he swaps with brent he'd have to deal with brent having most likely 4 stars. It was the right call and chance time just kept being fumbled by everyone.
Brent would have used the watch either way, and Brent pulling off the double star steal would have shifted the momentum of the game. Not to mention Brent wouldn't have stolen that star from Vernias.
i don't think i brought up the watch but if vernias didn't use the warp block he wouldn't have the star to be stolen in the first place. so pretty much the game was always in brent's favor and it was the only move that actually gave vernias any semblance of a chance.

I see a lot of people attacking Vern, and let me say that his decision tu warp with Brent is 100% justified. It’s as he said “It’s either lose, or try not to lose”. Brent was literally saying “give the win to me instead of nick”, vernias didn’t listen, and actually had got a probability to win. Brent is the real gaslighter here, he was only looking out for himself. And he has the nerve of getting MAD at vernias. Nah bro, anyone who defends brent needs to look at the situation again.

@@lidenull Even assuming that was the wrong play, which it wasn't, Vern's chat was being so annoying about it. They kept bringing it up hours later, and even after they stopped playing Mario Party would ocassionally reference it. Actually unbearable.

Okay, this genuinely confuses me. Vernias expressed that he wanted to warp as his turn started so he could get the star before Nick or Brent tried to convince him. The final decision he made was to do what he planned to do from the start, yet letting Brent convince him to give up a star and putting Brent massively in the lead is him makes him less of a puppet?

Brent still would have used the watch for content and Brent would not have used that Boo Bell on Vernias. Even if every dice roll was set in stone things had time to shift. I was so mad watching this because every time Vernias helps Nick it backfires and he never learns.

But if you want something more reasonable. Brent didn't get 2 stars from Nick, and he was winning like 2 turns later. He had a guaranteed win without Wacky Watch. How on earth would Vern be any closer to winning without getting a star? It also took convincing to convince Brent to use the watch, and Brent admitted that at the time, he wasn't sure if he would use it.
The reason is backfires is it gets Brent to turn against him. But this play at least doesn't make him a hypocrite when he always complains that Nick gives Brents win.
