At the beginning there is a crystal ball with Aurora performing “exist for love” inside of it. Perhaps this song will be second in line for an upcoming album or are just related to one another.
Well, she said she wrote this song in reference to conversion therapy that's forced on LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. Aurora doesn't like to confine herself to any specific label (the last I heard) but she doesn't feel attraction exclusively to men. So this is an issue that's close to her heart, too. So Exist for Love could definitely be thematically linked with Cure for Me; the former is a love ballad and this one could be her turning around and flipping off anyone who has a problem with her loving that person.

So this is almost scary. Recently diagnosed, I was watching some videos on the subject and this track pops up. I heard a track of hers before, but went in pretty much blank. The first thing that popped into my mind as I was watching this was how much many music videos are, at the very least, divergent... Hahah. Like, I was thinking "If I was walking around town like that people would look at me very strangely". And that goes for many videos, but it struck me more with this track. And that was before I started listening to the lyrics, which are indeed quite relatable, coupled with the way she moves and articulates. So when I went to the comments and yours was the second comment, it was... a little shocking. But in a good way!
I do not know if she is autistic or not. But my first impression is that she reminds me of our 6 year old ASD daughter. Same expressions and mannerisms. She is beautiful.

Because most of the time uninformed people would just invalidate you like "Oh, you can't have asperger's you're so bad at maths !" She's amazing. This song can fit into each individual person's situation around the world. It's empowering, makes you think about the meaning & how it relates to the world & yourself, while being extremely catchy. I've been struggling with an eating disorder and acne for 5 years. Cutting carbo, too many workouts, eating only sugar free food in order to keep my skin clean and my body fit. Last January I cut a toxic relationship with a man who treat me like shit, just like I've always done with myself, so I guess I liked it in a weird way. One day, after he cheated on me, he said it was my fault because I was 'too gay' and it made him feel bad to go out with me. At that point I decided to end the relationship. Even if I clearly didn't like my own self, that was too much even for me. That's been so hard to go on but I think it change my way to see myself. I stopped to think I have to be perfect in order to be loved by a man and accepted by society. Well, she said she wrote this song in reference to conversion therapy that's forced on LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. Aurora doesn't like to confine herself to any specific label (the last I heard) but she doesn't feel attraction exclusively to men. So this is an issue that's close to her heart, too.
So Exist for Love could definitely be thematically linked with Cure for Me; the former is a love ballad and this one could be her turning around and flipping off anyone who has a problem with her loving that person.

So this is almost scary. Recently diagnosed, I was watching some videos on the subject and this track pops up. I heard a track of hers before, but went in pretty much blank. The first thing that popped into my mind as I was watching this was how much many music videos are, at the very least, divergent... Hahah. Like, I was thinking "If I was walking around town like that people would look at me very strangely". And that goes for many videos, but it struck me more with this track. And that was before I started listening to the lyrics, which are indeed quite relatable, coupled with the way she moves and articulates. So when I went to the comments and yours was the second comment, it was... a little shocking. But in a good way!

I've been struggling with an eating disorder and acne for 5 years. Cutting carbo, too many workouts, eating only sugar free food in order to keep my skin clean and my body fit. Last January I cut a toxic relationship with a man who treat me like shit, just like I've always done with myself, so I guess I liked it in a weird way. One day, after he cheated on me, he said it was my fault because I was 'too gay' and it made him feel bad to go out with me. At that point I decided to end the relationship. Even if I clearly didn't like my own self, that was too much even for me. That's been so hard to go on but I think it change my way to see myself. I stopped to think I have to be perfect in order to be loved by a man and accepted by society. Some days it's so easy to fall down into old scheme, but artist like Aurora makes me feel I can make it right, I can live my life. I don't need to be changed, I don't need to be more beautiful, I don't need to be less gay.
