@@saniagrewal137 overall I'd say yes. It's beautifully done, you can clearly see a lot of time and love and care (and money!) went into making it. Of course there's a lot of changes from the books, but that'd simply the nature of the beast when it comes to book to screen adaptations. I'm definitely going to watch it again and I'm excited for the seasons to come. Even if, as a darklina shipper, I'm dreading the angst lol
An underrated moment that made me cry at 2am was seeing ice queen Zoya looking forward to seeing her aunt, and knowing from KOS how much her aunt meant to her :(

As a person who's only read Six of Crows (still waiting for my book order of Shadow and Bone to arrive) I was so invested in Malina. I love Ben Barnes but the Darkling creeped me out from the very beginning! Super excited to read the books to see if I'd feel differently about him/Mal. I absolutely loved the way they included the crows in this shows. Their interactions were everything. Also I'm a little bit in love with all the women in this show even the minor characters! They were all so good. Can't wait for the second season.
omg Grisha cardigans would be AMAZING 💜 totally agree about how getting to see more of what Mal went through was really well done. also i forgot to look for Leigh's cameo and totally missed it somehow 😩 oh well, just going to have to rewatch lol.

I wish I could have thought the scene with Alina and Darkling kissing hot, but I just laughed but also felt like I was going to be sick. The chemistry before the kiss I was enjoying. And I thought hey maybe I could be behind them having a potential romance. And then when Bagra was telling Alina the truth about the Darkling and what he wanted really, I realized that I just couldn't look behind that. I loved Archie as Mal, he was exactly how I pictured Mal in my head. And Kit Young as Jesper was ,how I pictured him. The rest of the cast I never had much of a picture in my head. Maybe Freddie as Kaz, just his mannerisms and facial expression. I give it on first watch 9 out of 10. It could go to 10, stay the same or lower, the more I watch it.
My theory is that the beginning of season 2 is going to be the crows getting around the thing with dreesen and the end is going to be them gearing up to go to fjerda and then season 3 actually be SoC
Fantasy is not really my go to genre when it comes to books but you make want to read the whole series!! I am very thorough when it comes to series so I'm scared to start but I'll give it a go one day hahahahha
