    These guys are actually really good. Even the recruits are catching up very well.

    Timing, dressing, sharp and instinctive turns as well as arm kinks and you're good. 👌🏼

      You actually have to keep your arm straight and bring them up to breast pocket height

  • @biancajade106
    @biancajade106 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    while watching this I noticed a few things that, if you are still in the squadron you can take to them
    this is what I noticed:
    - Kinks out of elbows - push down on your wrists to get rid of this
    - *Arms peak at same time
    - Hight of arms - breast pocket hight no higher or lower
    - Timing - make sure it's not too fast or slow and the correct timing
    - Mark time position - make sure its the correct distance from the ground - 15cm
    - Present arms pretty good - timing for that some people were too slow and others too fast
    - Slow marching with the flag - too big of paces
    - Spacing between people and ranks, keep in line with the people in front and beside you
    - Marking time - meant to be intimate with each other
    - When you have your eyes right - head and eyes fully right and there is a check pace after the command (EYES RIGHT, Check, heads)
    of course, we all make mistakes but these are the ones I picked up on, you may be wondering who am I? well I am a Leading Cadet at 602 squadron, I hope these things that I picked up on, helps you to improve, not only yourself but those cadets around you.

  • @choppagunnah

    Pom in the Air Cadets over here.
    Question about uniform, do you just have a light blue t-shirt for drill/ceremonial parades? Or do you also have a light blue shirt depending on the weather?
    Over here we have to wear sleaves regardless except our working blues (dark shirt when it isn't anything too formal) which we can roll up. Our wedgewoods (light blue for anything really formal) can't be rolled up, so we're stuck sweating.

    • @CyanideCreeper
      @CyanideCreeper 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have the light blue uniform (afb) which is worn for anything formal but we also have a navy blue woollen jumper that can be worn with our afb and then we have a camo uniform (dpcu) which is worn for everything else and it also has a khaki woollen jumper.

    • @choppagunnah
      @choppagunnah 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, I'll also add that we have our camo uniform (DPM and MTP). Cadets here can wear both, but DPM is slowly being phased out with MTP replacing it.
      However MTP is expensive (£80) compared to DPM (£20-30)

    wonder how our sqn s first end of year parade will go down with only 1 CFSGT, 1 CCPL and 6 LCDTs!

    • @fire5736
      @fire5736 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know what your role is within your squadron, but I'd suggest putting the CFSGT in charge and they can give all the words of command. It's pretty easy to do - they essentially fill all roles (flight commander, parade commander and warrant officer) all in one. Just an idea.

    • @shackerslade3215
      @shackerslade3215 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    is it traditional to parade the colours with just a flag bearer. the last flight seemed to be at least at ease. That also seems different. I took part with many RNZAF parade as bandsman and had never seen this

    why is the person at the rear of the banner party out of step?

    • @AJAllchin
      @AJAllchin 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Banner Warrant Officer at the rear of the banner party isn't out of step. He is just swinging the hand opposite to that of the Banner Escorts as they have rifles (held in the right hand) and he is carrying a sword (held in the left hand)
