Dude this is so well done! Seriously, picking a theme that doesn't have anything to do with a pokemon type is my favorite! You also did something I've always wanted to see in a game, a champion taking genuine interest in a potential challenger. Watching a stadium style gym battle while floating in the air was so over the top artistic, loved it. The HoF picture was genius!
I like that in the scenario you made for the main team, the player could see most of champion's pokemons during the story, which helps making the duel more fair against a well-rounded team like his.
Your champion story is amazing! I also like how you thought of the little things like having to heal the players team upon meeting them at the end of a forest and the final painting turning into the hall of fame screen.

Not really a fan of the Pokémon designs but the story Ron wrote is incredible. Not only does it have excellent themes but it's consistent with the stories of current Pokémon games and really captures a similar "vibe."

I haven't made a new Pokémon in about a year, but I'm still fond of this team regardless. I have included description of my fakemons. Lucario lvl 64 Gallade lvl 64 Veneon lvl 64 A poison type Eeveelution that I made. It's a fast physical attacker. Terrascor lvl 65 A Bug/Rock type scorpion Pokémon. It is a bulky physical attacker. Cyghalia lvl 66 The fully evolved Water starter, gaining the Fighting type upon evolving. It is a blend of a Bald Eagle and Mute Swan, resulting in a beefy appearance. The closest description I can give is that it's similar in appearance to the Ogre Eagle from Octopath Traveler, but Water type and with Swan traits. Cosmodra (Cosmic Form) lvl 68 One of the evolutions of the Pseudo Legendary. It starts as a Fairy type, then gains the Dragon type upon evolving. The form it takes when evolving depends on its Ability. The Cosmic form in particular evolves when having Adaptability as its ability. It is a fast Special attack with a new ability, Entunement; this makes it so that Special attacks cannot miss. In appearance, it's actually pretty close to an Eeveelution in size. The entire line is more or less a catlike Pokémon gaining draconic traits over time. Bonus: Draconic form While not relevant to the team, I figured I'd go into the other form too. It's a tanky mixed attacker, with survivability/longetivity being its strong suit. It evolves by having the ability Filter, and it gains a new ability upon evolving, Supreme Vitality. This makes it so that it can only be damaged by actual attacks and restores 6% of its HP every turn (so in other words, it's basically Magic Guard + Leftovers in one ability). In contrast to its Cosmic form, this form looks much more like a dragon, with the appropriate size and everything, though it still maintains some of its feline traits. Sidenote: Cyghalia and Cosmodra are my two (technically three) favorite creations.

Love your team compositions Although personally I think Alola Ninetales and Ribombee should have some more offensive options Like aurora veil works great with snow warning, but also give it aqua tail for fire or rock type, and ice beam for some good stab Also quiver dance on Ribombee is great but I'd also give it psychic for poison types and for stab, give it dazzling gleam and pollen puff
@@eljordinio7647 The only reason I gave Ninetales Rain Dance was because I didn't want hail damaging the rest of the team, since this team was made in Gen 8. However, since Gen 9 changed Hail to Snow, I could change it to Ice Beam. As for Ribombee, it's entirely meant to be support; Energy Ball is something to just throw out in case it's useful.

Not bad. No type overlap. Now here’s mine (quick sidenote, all are holding their mega stones because funny) -Garchomp (lvl 70) -Gyarados (lvl 68) -Gengar (lvl 69) -Tyranitar (lvl 70) -Gallade (lvl 68) -Scizor (lvl 69) And all of them have set up. Gyarados and Tyranitar have dragon dance, Garchomp, Gallade and Scizor have swords dance and gengar has nasty plot.
Great video! I always enjoy seeing your headcanons for teams you would want. One thing I like to headcanon is if a trainer has allergies and how that would affect the type of team they would create, especially depending on the region the trainer is in.
I hope GameFreak contacts you about the Asone region and making it a reality in the main series. You have some great ideas with the plot and characters.
Part 1 of this video amazed me. Not only did you just give your team, but they also help build your character and show use outside of combat that not many youtubers talk about when construction there “if I was a champion” team. I definitely love how unique your team and character are.
Honestly some of the Pokemon in that main team are favorites of mine. Luxray, Milotic, Haxorus. All of those in in my top ten for their respective regions. And then the other ones have several other favorites if mine. Including Samurott, my favorite starter of all time
Honestly Ron is such a chill dude and his videos give me such relaxing vibes. he like a guy who does a lot of weed but like can handled it really well to the point where you can’t even tell that he’s on a lot of weed. (and I mean this in the nicest way possible)
ron’s videos are always so relaxing and enjoying to watch, thank you for this! it was very interesting and these types of videos get me thinking what i’d want my teams to be… i’m thinking i’d have one pokémon from my favorite playthroughs…but that’s too hard of a decision to make!! i’d definitely want either a torterra or samurott because those are my favorite starters!
I love this and it got me thinking: we just had a game with version-exclusive gym leaders for the second time. I know we've sorta had version-exclusive champions with Steven and Wallace but what if that happened again for a gen with just two games? The player would interact with both Champions throughout the story in different settings (maybe like how we interacted with Teams Aqua and Magma in Emerald) but then when you reach the Champion fight, you find out its just one of the people you kept meeting in your journey. Or...and just let this sit in your minds for a sec, it's both of them. We don't have many gym leaders that specialize in doubles. What if the Champions did? Siblings or cousins or somehow connected. The two best trainers in the land - each so good that they could never really best the other, both being the champion of the region. Idk. Probably won't logistically work, ig but I think it would be pretty cool.

I think Champion Ron's theme from Part 1is a reference to Gladion's theme, I love Gladion's theme! I love your Asone team!, four out of those 6 Pokemon would be on my team too!😅
The first time I heard you mention having a team with a non-monotype theme in a video, it helped me realize how much I crave more interesting gym leaders like that. Game Freak dipper their toes in the water with Raihan, but I think they could at least start leaning into it more around the 6th gym since there's been enough time to get in the swing of things.
In the thumbnail, you look kinda like the "trade offer" meme guy.. pffhehe. Cool video! Also.. the only issue with the "painting is the hall of fame" thing is that the painting is supposedly made at Victory Road, and the player might switch their team up between Victory Road and completing the E4.
Honestly the 1st one makes me wish that either the Pokedex or something is able to take photos of battles that way along with the paintings you can have a full photo album
Arcanine is a GODLY fire-type Pokémon and Nidoking's movepool is HORRIFICLY good, it could literally learn Earthquake alongside Thunder/Thunderbolt, I think, still, they're both really REALLY good choices for Kantonian Pokémon in a team.
Love the concept of a travelling artist champion! And the energized yet somehow relaxed champion theme fits the vibe you give off in your videos ^∆^ An extra idea: if assone ever has a camera feature with social media comments like in sunmoon maybe champion Ron adds a comment on pictures that have maximum points!

I've actually been thinking of my own Elite 4 made up of my own fan characters and each of them have a team with certain theme instead just a certain type. This Elite 4 consist of: - Cassandra who uses reptilian Pokemon and is also fond of Dragon and Fire types, her team will be Kommo-o while using it's Z-move, Sceptile, Garchomp, Duraladon, Mega Charizard X, along with Turtonator in later rematches. - Avis who most fond of Flying types and avian Pokemon, his team would be Empoleon, Decidueye while using Z-move, Skarmory, Gliscor, Mega Pidgeot, and Salamence in later rematches, - Cassandra's older brother Drey, who's fond of both ancient and plant based Pokemon, his team would be Bronzong, Claydol, Golurk, Venusaur as his Z-move user, Mega Sceptile, and Cradily in later rematches. - Professor Hollow, who both studies and specializes in supernatural Pokemon such as Psychic and Ghost types, in this version of the Pokémon universe he'll be Agatha's cousin, his team will be, Musharna, Rotom in the form that will be be best against your team, Dusknoir, Alakaz,am as his Z-move user, Mega Gengar, along with Hatterene in later rematches. If I could choose a region it would be Kalos, because while it does have many flaws it was the one that really made me fall in love with Pokemon, and remains my favorite to this day.

The Cosmic form in particular evolves when having Adaptability as its ability. It is a fast Special attack with a new ability, Entunement; this makes it so that Special attacks cannot miss. In appearance, it's actually pretty close to an Eeveelution in size. The entire line is more or less a catlike Pokémon gaining draconic traits over time.
Bonus: Draconic form
While not relevant to the team, I figured I'd go into the other form too. It's a tanky mixed attacker, with survivability/longetivity being its strong suit. It evolves by having the ability Filter, and it gains a new ability upon evolving, Supreme Vitality. This makes it so that it can only be damaged by actual attacks and restores 6% of its HP every turn (so in other words, it's basically Magic Guard + Leftovers in one ability). In contrast to its Cosmic form, this form looks much more like a dragon, with the appropriate size and everything, though it still maintains some of its feline traits.
Sidenote: Cyghalia and Cosmodra are my two (technically three) favorite creations.

Although personally I think Alola Ninetales and Ribombee should have some more offensive options
Like aurora veil works great with snow warning, but also give it aqua tail for fire or rock type, and ice beam for some good stab
Also quiver dance on Ribombee is great but I'd also give it psychic for poison types and for stab, give it dazzling gleam and pollen puff
@@eljordinio7647 The only reason I gave Ninetales Rain Dance was because I didn't want hail damaging the rest of the team, since this team was made in Gen 8. However, since Gen 9 changed Hail to Snow, I could change it to Ice Beam.
As for Ribombee, it's entirely meant to be support; Energy Ball is something to just throw out in case it's useful.

Great video! I always enjoy seeing your headcanons for teams you would want. One thing I like to headcanon is if a trainer has allergies and how that would affect the type of team they would create, especially depending on the region the trainer is in.

I love this and it got me thinking: we just had a game with version-exclusive gym leaders for the second time. I know we've sorta had version-exclusive champions with Steven and Wallace but what if that happened again for a gen with just two games? The player would interact with both Champions throughout the story in different settings (maybe like how we interacted with Teams Aqua and Magma in Emerald) but then when you reach the Champion fight, you find out its just one of the people you kept meeting in your journey. Or...and just let this sit in your minds for a sec, it's both of them.
We don't have many gym leaders that specialize in doubles. What if the Champions did? Siblings or cousins or somehow connected. The two best trainers in the land - each so good that they could never really best the other, both being the champion of the region. Idk. Probably won't logistically work, ig but I think it would be pretty cool.
The presentation, especially for part 1, is very very nice. I love the storytelling.
Seeing Ron in random places around the region in the post game reminds me of Peach in Super Mario Odyssey

The first time I heard you mention having a team with a non-monotype theme in a video, it helped me realize how much I crave more interesting gym leaders like that.
Game Freak dipper their toes in the water with Raihan, but I think they could at least start leaning into it more around the 6th gym since there's been enough time to get in the swing of things.

Arcanine is a GODLY fire-type Pokémon and Nidoking's movepool is HORRIFICLY good, it could literally learn Earthquake alongside Thunder/Thunderbolt, I think, still, they're both really REALLY good choices for Kantonian Pokémon in a team.

An extra idea: if assone ever has a camera feature with social media comments like in sunmoon maybe champion Ron adds a comment on pictures that have maximum points!

I've actually been thinking of my own Elite 4 made up of my own fan characters and each of them have a team with certain theme instead just a certain type. This Elite 4 consist of:
- Cassandra who uses reptilian Pokemon and is also fond of Dragon and Fire types, her team will be Kommo-o while using it's Z-move, Sceptile, Garchomp, Duraladon, Mega Charizard X, along with Turtonator in later rematches.
- Avis who most fond of Flying types and avian Pokemon, his team would be Empoleon, Decidueye while using Z-move, Skarmory, Gliscor, Mega Pidgeot, and Salamence in later rematches,
- Cassandra's older brother Drey, who's fond of both ancient and plant based Pokemon, his team would be Bronzong, Claydol, Golurk, Venusaur as his Z-move user, Mega Sceptile, and Cradily in later rematches.
- Professor Hollow, who both studies and specializes in supernatural Pokemon such as Psychic and Ghost types, in this version of the Pokémon universe he'll be Agatha's cousin, his team will be, Musharna, Rotom in the form that will be be best against your team, Dusknoir, Alakaz,am as his Z-move user, Mega Gengar, along with Hatterene in later rematches.
My team will be Chesnaught,Incinerator as my Z-move user, Magnezone, Altaria, Grimsnarl, and Mega Blastoise as my ace.
If I were champion and were using regular pokemon, I would be one of the few champions who specialize with one type; in this case Ground types.
As champion of the fictional Yensidnia Region, my team would include my gown Fakemon: Sharvenom, Pyrotops, Elmryu, Boreowlis, Staticobra, and Sentreon.

My ace and favourite Pokémon Golisopod (surprise, surprise) with an assault vest and the moves liquidation, sucker punch, first impression, and leech life (it would also be a shiny because shiny Golisopod is beautiful)
