@@twoorthree2617 I have been clinging on to these birds since the beginning of their rescuing, all the way to the reproduction, and right now there is about 455 Blue-throated Macaws now, and they're used to not be that much but now there is, and there is going to be more sooner or later in the future. And and once they're done, they're going to release all of them to the wild I think once they've reached up to about a million, or a billion birds. 💙🩵
This is still one of the most beautiful and vibrant movies I've ever seen with some pretty great songs. Plus, I love that it raised awareness of a real life extremely endangered parrot, the Spix's macaw.
Plus fun fact pixar was almost making a film called newt with the same plot about 2 last blue footed newts forced together by science and being pursued by a barn owl who wants to eat them.But I think Rio was much better due to being real about saving a real animal specie from wildlife trafficking than a made up one!
Bro Linda and Linda in the bird costume was one of my biggest crushes as a kid- She looks so pretty in and out of costume. And she is determined, caring, sweet, and a good person. Also the scene where Nigel got sucked into the plane fan was so painful to watch 😧
I love us some representation! Grew up watching this in Portuguese and that one Disney bird movie, loved it. Latino representation is good in cartoons especially Brazil,Guatemala,Puerto Rico and other places in Latin America
This is definitely one of Blue Sky’s best! The music is very catchy, has likable and fun characters, and the animation really stands out from its colorful and vibrant visuals.

I really enjoyed Rio 😊 I love the story and all the characters like I think Blu is a great main lead and Nigel is a crazy terrifying villain but find him enjoyable. I also love the colourfulness and that is set in Brazil because you can see the culture in animated form which is really cool😊 and the music is great too ❤️ Thank you for doing this underrated gem and I’m glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you can do the second one 😄😃👍👍💙💙
I JUST noticed the like parallels(?) between Blu and Jewel and Tulio and Linda like the first moment Blu meets Jewel is basically the same as when Tulio sees Linda in the performer suit (yes it didn't happen the exact same way..but the lighting and the way they were mesmerized likeee- also both of them are kinda geek-boy x dominant girl couple !

That’s not true at all. You can tell a lot of effort was put into the two movies they did make. The sequel was released pretty soon after the first. There was plans to make a third movie before the studio got bought out and then shut down by someone who actually doesn’t care, Disney. The questionable/bad writing in the second movie doesn’t change the fact that it was obviously more than a cash grab, and I think it goes without saying that the first movie has so much soul and passion poured into it that it suggests the complete opposite about Bluesky

It actually makes sense that blu could fly just after that because he was traumatized from flying because the first time he tried all the birds got trapped and taken, plus himself and it really just is a instinct thing cause Mama birds do just push them out the nest and they have to rely on their instincts to fly.. and Jewels kiss made Blu not afraid anymore ig and his instincts just kicked in.. this movie is so great and so was your reaction💜😂
Trust me when I say that the movie is even more funnier in brazilian portuguese ! I'm a brazilian subriscriber myself and I need to say that the majoraty of the representations are accurate to Brazil (except for some stuff about the parades or whatever) and it's one of my favorite movies EVER. Glady there was a brazilian on the production of the movie, otherwise it wouldn't be the same thing 💚💙💛
Love this movie, everything was on point from the story to the characters, humor, design, and especially the music. That song that plays when they reach Rio was by Ester Dean (Rhianna’s hit writer) and is on heavy rotation in my playlist to this day😁 Shame they never made a sequel to this.
