A funny thing about that last scene I realized recently: Flash isn't speeding intentionally. It just takes forever for him to move his foot from the gas to the brake.😂
Emmett Otterton was screaming about night howlers because he's a florist, therefore knows what they actually are. That's why he was targeted. He'd figured out what was going on, and was going to tell Mr. Big.
The way Nick said, "Oh there's a 'them' now?", that cut pretty deep. The film's message is handled well, Judy and Nick make a great team and have great comedic timing, and Mr. Big and the DMV sloths are both hilarious.
I agree. Disney was able to highlight the biggest issues that we still face, even now in the most delicate way possible for the sake of the children and it worked. Hence the reason they won an Oscar for it and the way how every single creature were animated that are just as close to the real thing. As an animal enthusiast, it has my approval. 👍
My favorite part of the movie is how Nick revealed that he noticed Judy's fox spray the moment they met. It really recontextualizes all their interactions when you realize that was his actual first impression of her. Suddenly you get why he gave her such a hard time early on.
Fun fact Zootopia was originally going star nick wild as the main character and the movie actually had these shock collars that would shock predators if they get angry or violent The movie was sorta originally darker but change due to Disney... well being Disney
Which isn't a bad thing for Disney being Disney, and it changed for the better, as this resonates more with modern times than the other way around, both stories would be great of course, but it was such a homerun with Judy's story and how (namely) females can rise above expectations, as in society we already expect a male can do it and get through anything, it's a little more powerful when seeing females can be just as strong, smart, heroic and leadership, but in this story also covers that a male whom had some same issues can also see things in the same way and both rise above. Either way, fantastic job on Disney to go with Judy's story, now in Zootopia 2, both characters will be the main focus I assume, and can't wait to see what they do with the continuation of both their stories and adventures.
@noctis6826 I guess in way yeah I can see what you are saying, at least we have knowledges of the original script so I can't complain too much. And there's some stories that got the tone needed for the stories, so yeah, groovy 👍
The shock collars would actually shock predators if they showed too much emotion. In one of the deleted scenes it shocked a kid when he got too excited at his party… Which would’ve been really dark especially for a modern Disney movie.
Usually, movie makers like Disney only put people together when there the same species or could have a family so they could pump out more movies, but a rabbit and fox hybrid would be wierd.
So to recap the family loving man Emmitt Otterton, who frequents a nudist club for yoga and is a florist to a mob king: he was screaming about the night howlers because that is the common name for the plant making the “savage serum”. He was probably on his way to tell Mr. Big about the discovery, since mob bosses need to always be in the know, but got silenced before he could.
11:08 and the way she specifically pointed out that he was “articulate” as if she expected him to sound a certain way… gave me flashbacks to ppl calling me whitewashed bc I “didn’t sound black” and was “articulate”
Technically we're all white washed in a sense it's jus some hold others to a higher standard than others because of what their used to like a black guy from the south of America would find a black guy with a British accent funny or white washed while a black guy with a British accent would find a black guy from Texas or Tennessee with a southern accent his slang to be a funny accent as well its universal but it is what it is you can't choose where you grow up at and what accent you gain from said area you grew up from but that's the fun part of us humans we're so different and not jus carbon copies of each other (Also your IQ or how smart you are or if your very antiquate with how you talk or respond doesn't change your accent like I said you gain your accent from the area you grew up from or the house you grew up in. Ex I remember seeing online that sum people thought that people from the south were dumber than people from up north which was very false don't bunch a whole group of people because of a experience you had or encounter you had with one person from said area)
@feathered_fang It’s fine😭 I watch a lot of like- shows with dirty jokes and stuff in them but in Disney movies they just go right over my head You didn’t ruin it for me- dw😭
A joke used many times by Bugs Bunny in the 1940s/50s. I remember as a little kid asking my father what that "multiplying" thing meant. "Rabbits -- have lots of -- babies" was his reply. I still didn't get it.
26:02 That's actually a good point, most of the time prejudices are passed down by parents, guardians and authority figures so it's very likely that people like them are why kids like him sad and did those things to Nick.
Love this detail but at 9:18 the guy in the truck is Doug, who they confront at the end of the movie. Had Judy not profiled Nick and assumed he was up to no good (even though he was the victim and almost got hit by a car), she would have instead chosen to tail the driver and solved the mystery almost right away. Instead, she broke out the repellent even though Nick was the one being profiled. She also called nick "articulate" which Nick caught onto and even insulted her during that conversation. She didn't even realize he insulted her. 💀 Bellwether also has a note that says "Call Doug" on her desk when she's getting Judy the information.
i had to see the orginal clip cuse i just couldn't belove it and i guess his insult to her was "being non-patronizing" . i8 never noticed it before as i watched it multiple times
Fun fact rukiya! Miss Bellwether has a sticky note named "doug" on the phone when nick and judy was in her office looking at the security cameras. Small but very noticeable thing i wanted to include 🥰 love the vids! The nearest part is at 27:11
OH MY GOSH ZOOTOPIA I LOVED THIS MOVIE 🍿🤩🥳 6:31 fun fact,if you look closely at Judy’s iPod, there’s actually a playlist of songs with names that hint to their original counterparts. For example, Let it Goat is a reference to the song “Let It Go” from Frozen, another Disney film.
Not to mention though, Nick is rich! If he was smart with his money he made from before… I mean… he could have 100’s of thousands saved up, maybe even over a million through other hustles. His Cop gig isnt gonna hurt him too much.
Actually when Judy and Nick go to bellwethers office and she shows them the cup that Lionheart has given her right next to her computer is a phone number that has the name Doug on it. So it hinted at mayor bellwether being the villain the whole time. For those who noticed that little posted note at her desk and when the weasel mention that he was selling the plants to a doug
