I've caught a couple of your reactions and enjoyed them a lot. I definitely put a vote in for continuing on to album 2. If you continue to dive into Led Zeppelin, I'm all in. Thanks a lot, and I'll be going back to catch your other Zeppelin reactions.
I've been following mug for a while now, and given how much he's liking this first album, it would absolutely be a perfect progression to just work your way through their second album as well, what an opening one two punch, those first two albums, wow.
They went experimental on their third album, but some absolutely fantastic stuff on there, and then of course the iconic rune album, for their fourth album, with Stairway to Heaven, and everything on there is just mind-blowing. But I literally like all of their albums.
I go through phases sometimes listening to a lot of their last album, In Through the Out Door. I'm totally loving that stuff as well.
Recorded in October, 1968.........and yes this album was a definite game changer.
Best Band Ever! ❤
8 minutes of fire. Nothing said better. Love your reviews brother.
Much appreciated
They are simply the best. Always delivering and always surprising. Don't get caught up in having "favorites" as you discover their tunes, simply too many!
One of their best song.... simply kicks a$$.
The call & responses, the beat switchups and that Delta Blues gritty vibe Plant bellows in a way that makes Howlin Wolf smile from the other side!! Incredible track here & an equal reaction as well!
I love the GENIUS of Led Zeppelin ❤❤❤❤
Still my favorite LED ZEP song of all time. JB at his best. Thank you sir for this reaction!!
Yes Led Zeppelin 2!!
As SRV said “rock and roll is just the blues sped up”
Possible my favorite Zeppelin tune..definitely from this Lp. Please go in chronological order to hear the progression through the years. Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
Been a Led Head since 68. ❤😂
Fun reaction and thoughtful comments at the end. I do this a lot with older music, and I do it a LOT a lot with John Bonham, for example in this one, late in the song when it hits that other groove before they finally bring it back around to the intro? That has such a drum and bass feel to it and would make for fantastic samples, if it hasn't been already, because I know that a lot of his stuff has been sampled, which I think is great.
Pure genius!! They were in their teens and early 20's!
Hit that!
I haven't heard this in years!
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
Nobody mangled the blues into something bigger and more obnoxious like Led Zeppelin. I don't mean that as an insult either but the highest compliment. It's glorious and this song will always be one of my favorites even though I usually wish the breakdown section was shorter.
Thank you!!!!❤
One of my favorite song from Led Zeppelin you shook me and how many more times ❤❤❤
I don’t think I’ve ever yawned to this song. Must have recorded late at night!
@@36karpatoruski that yawn wasn't a reaction to the song lol most people know I work 6 days a week
@@MugnifyRTS You definitely get a pass!! I did not know. More power to you and God Bless! You are on the right track man! Keep on keeping on!! We’ll have you a 60s/70s dedicated head yet. The best kind , guaranteed.. You have just loosened the bottle cap. Amazement to follow.
Swagger. Aurora borealis shimmer. Fuzzed up and cranked to eleven! Dig the shuffle beat on the outro to the long break. Little Robert Anthony wants to play! To see this live, check out the clip of Led Zeppelin performing this on Danmarks TV 1969. Super raw, super great! Bonham's kit barely holds together. Jones holds down the groove. And Robert Plant is barely 21 years old in the film. Jimmy Page gets those sounds with a violin bow and a wah-wah pedal but not a flanger pedal. Flanger pedals weren't invented until some years later. Before then flanger effects were in studio tweaks.
The louder the better...so good.
When I REALLY want to hear LZ in some headphones I listen to this album. Glad you heard it!
This group was the big bang💥 of hard rock.
Yes, this is one of Zeppelin’s Best. So rad and better than any other crap on the radio .
This is my favorite Zep song.
As many times as it takes
Led zeppelin, black sabbath, and deep purple ruled the world in the 70's!
Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd ruled the 70s
Yup, the changeups dynamics and suprises for me puts LZ in the top tier. Not to mention, the superb GOAT musicianship of all 4...
@4:54 I hear 🎸Jeff Beck🎸playing....✅✅✅
What I like about the era was that almost every song on every album was a hit or at least memorable, you got your $$ worth, not like today's music. You might get 1 number that was good, the rest.....meh! So glad I grew up in the 50's, 60's, 70's.
This is their FIRST album right?
Yes
Good Shit!!
