Hi Kabir, the jobs they have available are mostly part-time, low paying jobs, something that wouldn't cover the bills, especially in NYC. Furthermore, many of the immigrants are poorly educated and don't speak English. I spent 7 years on the streets and have never worked so hard trying to find work. When you don't have a phone, transportation other than limited bus service and your address is that of a rescue mission, it's damn near impossible to get hired. Plus, most of the jobs are in the service industry and usually go to highschool students. They are usually part-time too. I could get some day labor, but nothing l could survive on. I finally started dummying down my resumé, leaving out my university degree for example. Eventually I applied for, and got my Social Security disability which enabled me to get off the streets, but my life isn't one of luxury!

I’m all for legal immigration but opening the border to everyone is lunacy. First these sanctuary cities were welcoming immigrants until Governor Abbot started bussing them to the sanctuary cities and letting them foot the bill. And it is the American people’s money, the money that they worked hard for being used for illegal citizens. While our own citizens are suffering and told tough luck. The shelters are 5 star ⭐️ hotels which are now destroyed. The democrats were counting on being able to give them citizenship so they would vote for them.
Like I said, I’m all for Legal Immigration. My grandparents came here but didn’t it legally. I feel America sends so much money to a lot of countries and all that money is our citizens money. We worked for that money. When is it our turn? When do our veterans get to have shelter? Fare question.

Was it lawful for the US to attempt to overthrow Venezuela's government 5 times in the past 25 years? (The 5th attempt is happening now.) Is it lawful for the US to apply unilateral sanctions on Venezuela that has thrown their economy into a Depression and killed well over 40,000? Is it lawful for the US to steal Venezuela's US CITGO assets? Is it lawful for European countries to steal Venezuela's gold?
So yes, every Venezuelan should be welcomed into the US, provided ample assistance and given a fast-track to citizenship. We can impose a 99% wealth reclamation tax on our country's 800 billionaires to pay the bill.

Jose Ibarra was found guilty of the murder of Larkin Riley a nursing student in the Athens Clarke County in Georgia in February 2024. He was found guilty of all ten of the charges.
He waived his rights to a jury trial so he got life with no parole. Too bad he didn’t get a jury trial because the death penalty would have been a strong possibility.
He is an illegal immigrate from Venezuela that was originally sent to NYC and got a free plane ride to Atlanta GA. And we the taxpayers will still be footing the bill for his prison stay.

Let's break down the illegal immigrant issue, you have people from all over the world showing up in places like South America being told if they just show up the American dream will be theirs in no time. So these people pay somehow thousands of dollars to smugglers who will rob, sexually assault them, and maybe abandon them in the desert. When they show up with a note to go here or there, where they're either forced to work under the perverbial table like slaves, or forced into prostitution. As far as certain politicians in the US they love to say they welcome illegal immigrants,.... until they actually show up and start using the resources, then it's a different story.

Curious if you know this, but undocumented migrants that work in this country, they pay into Social Security and Medicare, but get NOTHING back. New York was giving them a lot of free benefits that our own veterans and homeless do not get. Hotel stays, free food, prepaid debit cards with thousands of funds. Our citizens are mad!! We want immigrants to come here, but the legal way so we can vet them. Venezuelan gangs are taking over entire apartment buildings in Denver, Colorado (another sanctuary city). A few small towns in Ohio and Pennsylvania got their population doubled in a matter of weeks. That is not the way to assimilate. Venezuelan gangs are not taking over entire apartment buildings, that was debunked over, and over again by citizens in those supposed buildings. NY was not giving them "a lot" of free benefits - they were getting housed in abandoned hotels or rented hotels specifically for that use, and given pre-paid cards with at most $800-1200 for food and what not.
And the Ohio thing, jesus christ man. Those Haitians came over the past 5 YEARS. And they all migrated there legally. They are here legally and moved to Springfield for jobs and a better chance in America. They didn't come in a matter of weeks. The Fentanyl thing, yes some does come across the border of course but vast majority of it comes across LEGAL PORTS OF CALL in the US. Maybe we should tighten up our security at our ports when it comes to drugs being brought in, that might be a thought.

So, a lot of people don't know that as VP Harris did alot in certain Central American countries at the beginning of her term as VP. She helped them set up programs and plans to take in migrants. She worked with other countries in the Eastern Hemisphere for them to send migrants to. She worked with governments to set up stations that helped perspective immigrants immigrate legally and set up court appointments before arrival. They even created an app for this purpose. This severely cut down on the caravans of people coming to our doorstep. However, some of those numbers were replaced by Asians and other countries. Our government is limited in what we can do to help. Some of those countries are virtually run by Cartels. Venezuela became a socialist and was having a mass exodus. And most people don't want their tax dollars going to benefit other countries. "We have our own problems." Is often heard here.

Also, legal immigration provided vetting to make sure the criminal element was left out. We owe our citizenry at least that... Safety.
Also, illegal immigration thumbs its nose at all those who spent thousands of dollars and months of paperwork and interviews to be allowed into our country. Obtaining legal benefits was seen as a triumph. Americans were totally okay welcoming these people with open arms and helping their transitions to American life.
Bringing in too many at one time does not give them a chance to settle in. Instead of acclimatizing to the American laws, they are acting as if their old ways are appropriate and we're seeing violence rise.
Without a border, how do we maintain our sovereignty, our economy, our resources, our safety, and preserve American values?

As you may be aware, if you look into this story it is told a couple of different ways, politically speaking, and the truth is somewhere in the middle. So you can take my 2 cents and I hope it adds clarity, or at least more info to go on.
Greg Abbott is the governor of Texas and a Republican who is fairly inline with Trump on many things. Because of a combination of the illegal immigration problem and his disagreement with Biden's policies, he decided his state was no longer going to deal with our pay for these people coming over the border. Now he could've gone through proper channels and bussed the migrants to cities that welcome immigrants (sanctuary cities like New York City- who are often Democratic cities) However, he decided to make it a political stunt too. Often these immigrants did not know where they were going. They often were not dressed for the cold they encountered during winter, etc. And it caused a huge mess because they just randomly showed up. Abbot was trying to cause a little chaos (I'm sure he saw it as a "now you know how I feel"sorry of thing). A couple of times he sent them to colonial monuments instead of cities, where there weren't even hotels or any place for them. And not all of them were illegal, but I'm sure many were.

Here's the actual truth. The US has attempted to overthrow Venezuela's government five times in the past 25 years. The current attempt, the 5th, is ongoing. The illegal sanctions that the US slapped on Venezuela has collapsed their economy and thrown it into a depression. The sanctions kill*d over 40,000 Venezuelans in just a two year period, according to one study. So it's likely that hundreds of thousands have been kill*d in total. The US stole Venezuela's CITGO assets and another country stole their gold. If you want to reverse the flow of Venezuelan refugees to our border, turn off Fox News, hit the streets, and start protesting our government's actions there.

Jobs is a mixed bag issue in America right now. There are real jobs available and there are legal migrants who are getting those jobs (after having awork Visa or work permit).
However, there are also a number of factors created by employers that are inflating those numbers. Some openings are just employers testing the waters. Some are just collecting resumes for future openings.
Often a lot of jobs want certain credentials. I saw an entry level position the otherday that requires a bachelor's degree, 2-3 years of experience and only paid $10 per hour. You can't even live off of that where I live (I don't live in NYC, which is far more expensive), and we have to pay for our degrees here. There are also a lot of job scams.
There are places with lots of jobs for doctors and nurse, or tech, etc. But if you don't have those credentials those plentiful jobs don't matter.
