Hi, I have a question. For your OBA, were you able to tutor students who were preparing for the SIE while you were working as a licensed financial advisor, or is it prohibited to teach finance topics in general except you are no longer working as a licesed FA?
Great question! It depends on your employer - there is no rule specifically for or against this. We have heard of situations where financial tutoring has been both approved and denied.
Thanks for making this tutorial much easier than others to understand despite the huge amount of information.I am in career transition and, a bit overwhelmed by changes and expectations. I subscribed 😊
I’m studying the achievables SIE course and experiencing challenges with the ETFs leverage vs inverse. Do you have a video on it? If not can you make one?
Hi, we've designed Achievable as an interactive online course: quizzes after every page, supplementary explainer videos scattered throughout, and personalized feedback based on your progress - this is what makes Achievable so effective! We don't have a physical book, but we can send you a PDF of the reading material after you buy the online course, if that helps.
Hi @benco_19, FINRA doesn't offer prep materials, you would need to buy them from a vendor like us. Our FINRA SIE course is extremely well regarded, try it for free to see if you like it - achievable.me/exams/finra-sie/overview/
Just stop with the math. You confused the issue. I only had one basic math question on the whole SIE. I understand that Achievables want to be math teachers but your overthinking it.
Hi, thanks for your comment! There's a huge amount of natural randomness in these exams, since you're only asked ~75 questions from a pool of thousands. Although the math is generally high-level, some people do report seeing 10+ math questions, so it's important to master these topics too!
Thank you! I just purchased and am excited to start my career as a financial professional.

Where can I find the content to start studying? I was checking the FINRA website but I didn't find it.
