ASMR - Concrete Sounds - every episode

The architect Erling Viksjø’s buildings challenge many people’s concept of what good architecture is. Highly innovative, he forged a unique working relationship with several artists. Art became a part of the architecture itself.
Viksjø was also obsessed with the material concrete and experimented with his artist collaborators in the 1950's and 60's to use concrete in new ways.
When we can open the National Museum - Architecture to the public again (currently closed due to the Covid-19 situation in Oslo), the exhibition "Concrete in Transition. The architect Erling Viksjø and his artist collaborators" will welcome you! Until then, relax with these concrete ASMR videos, featuring artist Morten Kildevæld Larsen.
What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, a feeling some people experience as a result of certain sights and sounds, such as whispering, folding towels and hair brushing.

Arkitekten Erling Viksjøs bygninger fra 1950- og 60-tallet utfordrer manges forestillinger om hva som er stygg og pen arkitektur. Han var nyskapende og hadde et unikt samarbeid med flere kunstnere. Kunsten ble en del av selve arkitekturen.
Viksjø var også besatt av betong! Sammen med kunstnerne eksperimenterte han med betongmaterialet og skapte nye teknikker som skapte liv i den ellers nøytrale overflaten.
Når vi kan åpne Nasjonalmuseet - Arkitektur igjen (museet er for tiden stengt pga. Covid-19 og smitteverntiltak i Oslo), vil utstillingen «Bevegelser i betong. Hva er ASMR?
