For a normal users : they will feel chromebook is a Android smartphone with a bigger screen & keyboard, kinda give feeling of a laptop....which is actually true..but it can do little more than that .

That screen turns off due to the S-Pen magnets. Most of the laptops use magnet switches to turn on and off or put to sleep the display and keybord when rotated, or laptop is closed. Similar magnet is present on the display bezel.

An important thing missed out in the Video, all Chromebooks charge with USB C ports (made mandatory by google) this in a way is usually found in Premium Windows Laptops.
Support for a common charging system using universal charger is fantastic. USB C is great.

The main differences between these machines are the operating systems, for example, In windows laptops, we have Windows In Apple MacBooks we have Apple iOS, In Chromebooks, we have Chrome OS. In my past 30 years of experience before apple, we only had Windows I used it till 2012, and I bought my first Apple Macbook Air in 2012. I bought my first Chromebook just a week ago. Boy, I would never buy anything else other than Chromebook again. For many reasons 1- Chromebook operating system boots up much quicker than any other operating system. 2- In Chromebook, you would not have to buy anti-virus software, it has been looked after by Google automatically therefore it is much more secure.
3- Chromebook you wouldn't have to keep on updating any software google looks after it by itself. 4- The Chromebook Google operating system is so efficient that it wouldn't use much of the battery, therefore, you have more battery life my Chromebook once fully charged last 9 hours. 5- The Chromebook would cost you less money. Ref: I have a Chromebook ''Lenovo Thinkpad C13 Yoga Chromebook. Lastly, unless you are a graphic designer and have to use a heavier programme software or a higher PC games user go for a Windows laptop.

I was thinking to buy a Chromebook but now I'll buy a laptop,
Since in same price performance is about same, just Chromebook opens fast, for that I'll keep my laptop always on, and again it'll provide more storage and better build quality, and also supports many software which I might need in future.
I can compromise on looks and I don't need a touchscreen in laptop.

Android needs to be optimised into a tab os and most importantly into a true laptop os..... Seriously. The tab should be called a ChromePad.

yes a mouse can be used + yes u can connect tv + u can use ms office but limited but it can do the work + i am using chromebooks for 3 years now I have only seen 2 problems : 1. keyboard must be taken care of u must order its cover asap ..2.it slows down with tie u will see a degrade in performance but if u gonna just use ms office than u will not notice it depends on your usage .. I am a heavy user I do game dev , thus I have seen lags sometimes but It does the work just fine ... do not expect it for gaming and pro video editing ...tghis is a basic device ... it is better then tabs at this price like the realme,motorola one

Google's Productivity tools like Docs, Sheets and Slides are good but limited. Similarly, the free web version of MS OFFICE is usable but limited. Therefore, like Apple's Mac OS, Google's Chrome OS too needs a native version of MS OFFICE. Google should deal with Microsoft and get them to launch a version of the MS OFFICE for Chrome OS. The full featured OEM version of MS OFFICE should come pre-installed with the Chromebooks. It's the only thing that I miss the most on my Chromebook.

the reason why its display gets off because of the lid sensor, most laptops detect wether the laptop lid is closed or open by the magnet sensor, detector on the base of the laptop and magnet on the screen, when the lid is closed the magnet gets detected by the sensor and the diaplay is closed, so when we put another magnet on the sensor area it detects that the lid is closed and the screen gets off, hope this was helpful
And Chrome Book Has Less Apps Compared To Windows
Google Drive gives 15 GB of free access. So, if I use a Chromebook - I think I will get the entire say 500 GB for Google docs as well right? I mean excluding the OS space and all.
If u are learning c languages like c++ or python , java etc . You can't code these in Chromebook typically.

There is a one better option (Lenovo chromebook duet). Chrome OS works like a charm in tablets. In this time when we don't have good tablets in the market instead of going for android tablet one should consider buying a Chromebook tablet.

In short , Chromebook is basically a android keypad mobile (without sim card) which mainly runs on 15GB (free) Google cloud space and can not run photoshop, Autocad at any cost. And may be you will struggle (just like android file explorer in mobile) to find a file you saved (some how) in its little hard disc.
I want to buy a laptop for showing business plan or PPT slides and play motivational videos person to person. I have to show business plan in the meeting and motivational videos also. If he connect the chromebook to the projector, will it will work without lag or hang ?

The Chromebook turns it's screen off cuz it uses magnets embedded in the display to detect the lid closing... The sensor is called a hall effect sensor... This is what is responsible for sleeping the laptop when the lid is closed ...

When I was student, i purchased a second hand laptop with celeron processor, installed Linux based Os and used it for three years. Now I do job. I have good computer but still use Linux. I think We Indian should focus on better things which gives opportunity to learn something better instead of focusing on popular things. Although that's my personal opinion.
None of the apps and games are on Linux, i use windows and Mac for productivity. Linux is a big no for me

I am using a Chromebook for the last 18 months and as per my experience it is the best, lightning and fast OS. If you know how Android works then you can do a lot of things with this after installing Linux on it.
