The hush after the accident says all you need to know. I feared Max may be gravely hurt as you couldn't see how his trajectory ended. Whatever anyone says, Lewis punted his car up the inside at Copse which is a fearsome corner, and took Max out. It was an all or nothing move, thank God Max's car didn't turn over or dig into the gravel.

As someone who went to the race , yes. People cheered. Nearly everyone did knowing that the rivalry in this race was unmatched and how import this race was to Hamilton to stay in contentention for the title. So yes when we saw max go off there was cheering all round the circuit. The cheering was simply for seeing the chances of Hamilton gaining many points on verstappen and red bull but merely lasted longer than 10 seconds due to after seeing the extent of the crash that verstappen suffered. Everyone who suggest that the fans are morally wrong can believe what they want , but the eerie chill around the circuit after the red flags had gone out would suggest otherwise due to everyone at the time of impact living in the moment and not thinking about the danger of the crash , but then again , cameras won’t last this long due to all videos getting cut off a mere 10 seconds after. Save recovery for max and may Hungary bring on a crazy title clash between the two

Hamilton had plenty of space so it’s up for debate whether he intentionally caused the accident. Every driver knows you can’t overtake there, yet Hamilton simply gets up alongside Verstappen and basically punts him off.

    • @jplays6285

watch the crash from the angle from above, they’re almost side to side verstappen is a bit ahead but lewis is way faster because of slipstream, both drivers could’ve avoided it. max could’ve gone a bit wider and lewis could’ve broke earlier, but at the same time were talking about 150+ ph so hard to react to one of the drivers not steering away

I might be ignorant or whatever, but am I the only one who doesn't see this accident as a horrible crash with a chance of death? We've seen way worse crashes in the recent years of F1 and none of them caused death, but when Max has an accident everyone transforms to an ethnic expert and cries out on terror as if Hamilton committed mass murder. What the fuck.

Guys, a real champion knows how to win. Max made a rookie mistake and crashed out of the race. Hamilton was never going to make that inside move stick, too much speed, Max bailed him out. All Max had to do is back off and do the switcheroo, but Max can't see past the next corner due to his lack of champion pedigree and over-aggressive driving. In this situation, Hamilton "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." Mohammed Ali. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Michael Jorden. These are quotes from repeated champions. They know how to win. Max has all the power and speed, but that's not enough to beat the champion. Max needs to outsmart Sir Lewis Hamilton. Buju Banton's song "Champion" "Walk like a champion Talk like a champion. Buju Banton would be more than glad to take your hand and lead to the promised land. All you have to do is be true, so let's correspond, satisfy your emotion.
