- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2012 Fiat 500C lounge. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I just bought one....2017.....I absolutely love it ......America’s most underrated car
daisyroots yours I’m guessing (whether a standard 500/“Cinquecento” in Italian or a high performance Abarth) has a very passionate engine sound, which is my personal FAV thing about the Fiat 500. Italian cars like it are meant for people who are most passionate about cars and driving. Keep enjoying yours as long as you have it.
daisyroots it’s underrated and hated for a good reason, unreliable and not even suitable for the American market in the first place
@@Txtzraven Yeah because you just hate little cars. I don't get it: Mazda 2, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Polo, Fiat 500, Mitsubishi Space Star, Ford Fiesta, MINI Cooper Hatchback, New Nissan Leaf..There are so many cool and good subcompact cars. Economical, fun to drive with a manual and also reliable if you maintain them right like any other car.
Problem you have with the 500 is that they used a brand new type of engine for you.
Here in Europe there are good, reliable 1.2l 8valve 69hp and 1.4l 16valve 101hp engine.
Get one of those and you'll be fine, the Multiair engine this particular model has is let's say pretty well known for having problems cause it's a complex system.
Like I said 1.2l or 1.4l engine non turbo engine perfect for driving in the city. But now I have a personal question:
What's the speed limit in american cities if it's 30 both engines would be ok.
I get my shipped in next week 🥰👌🏾
I love how the rain starts going crazy but the review won't stop!!!
I personally think this car is outstanding, I'm getting mine tomorrow
The roof does go all the way down.
Yeah it has 3 positions, open a little, all the way back including rear window and like how he did it in the video, just stops before the rear window! 👍😎⚠️
I like these little cars. Took one out on a test drive not too long ago. I have my eyes set on the Abarth model!
I've always loved fiats!! So unique!
that interior is beautiful!!!
Oh I love these cars, drove one back in the summer at the dealer in Atlanta, it was a great drive, very nice was going to be my next car, but found out I am losing my job :-( Thanks for the post Kyle
I'm, a BIGGEST, MEGA, GIANT FAN OF FIAT 500!!!
Some competition from me maybe? 😉 But yeh, how good is this car
@7477238 I saw a lot of Fiat 500s when I went from Montreal to Toronto. They seemed to do really well when it comes to highway driving.
Another great review. Very thorough. Well done!
I absolutly love those cars. Probably the only really good looking small cars.
People don't forget this car is for fun driving and asthetics. It's not made for usability in mind. I would so buy this car. Reminds me of a Ferrari just miniature and less powerful. It definantly looks different than anything else on the street today! Love Fiat!
Man just love your In-Depth Tours xD
I like the white accenting on the steering wheel, very creamy to me.
Kyle, you could have pressed the button again when it's like on "sunroof" mode and that will bring down the cloth top down to the top of the tailgate.
I drove a GRANDE PUNTO ABARTH SS verson. 1.4 turbo ~180hp. Thats a definition of pocket rocket !
yo kyle you should do more reviews in the rain dude. oddly comforting and relaxed
then it turns an interesting light brown color. its magic!
I drive a front wheel drive small car now. In the snow...it is just fine. I have owned 3 Subaru's and they were the best on the road for snow but a front engine, front wheel drive car is the next best option.
I live in Chicago so yes, we get tons of snow every year.
I've been wanting one of these ever since they came to America. The only place to buy one is 2 hours away from me. When I saw all those Fiats lined up I almost passed out. I want one so bad!
Very. Strong rain. And. Very. Nice. Review
I'm glad to have Fiat here!
@Enix69 Very few passenger cars in the US are diesel. Diesel engines are mostly found in semi's and some pickup trucks.
Very Retro car, reminds me of the 60's mini cars that once were.
very nice car now i want one
lol, i love how you got trapped in the car from the rain and so you just went into m more detail on the back seat.
MY DREAM CAR
The roof fully retracts to the top of the boot. And it is the modern version of the original 500 :) It inherited it's style, this doesn't borrow styling elements from other subcompacts ;)
You can also fold back the top from outside the car by holding down the unlock button on the keyless entry.
FINALLY YOUR VIDEOS SPAWN IN THE MAIN PAGE AGAIN!!!
Can't wait for the Abarth!!
Terminal cuteness.
I love the look of that little Fiat, looks lovely :)
Great great car. Buy it, you won't regret it
This such a classy ride, much better than the Beetle.
Piu bello! I simply love those Fiats. They may be small, useless for families and cannot carry much stuff, however they look quite elegant, have an unique style and plenty of glamour.
Keep rocking, Kyle.
You should start showing the wipers for every car!
@Scorch1007 well its not only about miles per gallon i mean this is an iconic car to a lot of people
If I ever was interested in buying a small car, the Fiat 500 is the only one that's cool enough.
I love the new Fiat 500. Its just such a neat and cool car, but I can't WAIT untill next year when the Abarth version comes out and then you'll be doing a review of that! Awesome vid as always Kyle!
Looks like a nice edition to Chrysler's lineup...but I don't like the tachometer integrated with the speedometer, it makes it very hard to read. But at least J-Lo is happy to own one
this is my new dream car
There is one in the area that offers a free dealer's lifetime power train warranty in addition to the standard 4yr bumper to bumper/powertrain.
give it a real engine and an all-wheel drive system, I would love this little guy.
@strumem90 Actually you can get a manual as long as you get a 500C in the "Pop" trim.
I do have to say though, it's nice to see a vehicle in North America that has effort put into such a cheap car. Although i would go for the FIAT panda if i had the choice. Since the 500c was built off of the panda. :D
The roof could go back way more Kyle, it goes all the way down past the back seats!
@Toni7859 ... most cars have rev limiters engaged when parked.
Greatest car
apology not accepted for the rain noise. we're totally blaming the weather on you.
@7477238 I actually live in Virginia, but I was up in Canada for a few days, so I got to experience Canada's drivers, and I LOVED THEM! There was a dad and his daughter in (probably) an 80s car, and they were booking it. The (rental) car that we had didn't have km/h, so we had to "assume" the speed limit.
So my conclusion is that Canadian drivers drive well (even if they cut people off), because they don't drive 20mph under the speed limit like half of Virginians.
Main competition is the Mini, and THIS is what they came up with cute bubble.
It's curious to read that a lot of people want more power in such a small car: here in Italy there is also a 69hp version and nobody complains, 'cause it's an utilitarian, not a sportscar
Been waiting for this for a loooong time.
The cloth top could fold onto the top of the trunk lid if you pressed the button again.
@saabkyle04 FYI the roof does go back much further than you opened it.
hey kyle i have question, if the temperature is cold, you feel it inside the car? i mean the roof looks like very "plastic" so how about temperature inside the car when outside is colder ? Hope u answer my question. Good vids bye
I feel like the white steering wheel will get dirty easily. Will it?
Now this one looks silver. Are there silver and white fiat lounges?
kyle you could have came up to Cary and did a review at the hendrick fiat
@darkhorse000 did you know most motorcycles have engines that make under 100 horsepower, and yet they still go very fast? this is because of something called power-to-weight ratio. when you have a car that weighs less than a brick, a small engine is plenty.
epic car
U can update the sterio and speakers and stuff without destroying the ac right?
I think the Fiat 500 Abarth is coming to the US early in 2012. It's going to have 20+ more HP and will be about 2.5 seconds quicker 0-60.
@PS2Gameplays It doesn't matter. European octane ratings are different from US ratings. 87 octane US gas is the equivalent of 93-95(can't remember) octane Euro gas.
I like this car it's called Fiat 500👍🚘😎👫👭🇮🇹🇺🇸
ha you got rain, here in Cali we got 75 and sunny
Also, out of all the unique colours you pick .. Silver?
with some really good mod and diff body kit this could be a really nice looking racer..ricer..or just sexy mod car.
I saw one of these in a mall and it was so tiny!
Why did you not show the roof fully open????
@darkhorse000 Agree, 101 HP (maybe 90 to the wheels?) is fine for city streets, not so good for expressways or passing. And no matter how you slice it, over 10 secs 0-60 is a dog whatever the power/weight ratio. They saved Chrysler though so props to them I guess.
You Know I Still Like The Old Body Fiat Kyle.
I can't wait for the abarth version to come.
@jsiszero It's only premium recommended, you can still use regular.
The automatic makes it a fashion accessory. The only thing that really makes it worth buying is that it's nimble and fun to drive.
the next time they make a commercial for this with J-Lo, they should use the songs from the South Park episode about tacos and burritos lol
@bagelboi66 OOH yeah, where i live you have to go over mountain passes to get to any other city. I was in a
'03 Nissan Sentra 1.8. That has 134 Whp, and as soon as i started climbing the pass i began slowing down.
I think these will only be in Cities or flat areas.
@OwiuX The North American versions are built in Mexico.
I love the detail you included in this, but I wish you actually drove the car. That's kind of important if you're going to review it.
I'm italian and i'm driving my fiat Punto since 1993, 1.2L FIRE engine! very very fuel efficiency engines! Is the 1.3 mjet diesel engine available for the States?
good first car? looking at one with 104,000 miles
@saabkyle04 is this the a saabkyle first? wherein he got caught up in a storm? :))) hahaha
BTW kyle, you should've took video of you driving it through the rain :D
@BlazerLT this car seems built very well, quality plus its been around in Europe for a while.civics still top dog though, ever notice its rivals always compare themselves to honda, while honda doesn't compare itself to its rivals on tv Ads.
Can you change the red seats?
looks like a nissan march that came out like 9 years ago, does more mpg too.
@LarryDavidFreak actually they stared selling the new fiat 500 in Europe back in 2007 before Fiat had anything to do with Chrysler so actually Chrysler had no influence on the power-train or design
@Tha89Kid Because of the higher hp, the civic is able to use longer gears that lower engine operation rpm. Lower horsepower never will guarantee economy.
i had fiats back in the day. wont look at another one until htey have redeemed themselves as far as quality control. BUT kyle, yet another stellar review. as always. BTW if i recall correctly you did a very short review on a 500 while you were at a dealership a while back Eh?
The optional manual transmission for the Fiat 500 is a 5-speed, not 6-speed.
kyle, do you like the manual better? i feel it's what the car is meant to be
My guess is Kyle used to camras for his video cause I hear kyles voice in the background at 6:56
I love these.
@BlazerLT i meant that the mpg is to low for such a small car with 101 HP,Honda civic does better with more HP and its bigger.still a nice car though.
is there going to be other fiat models coming to america?
Kyle, you have forgotten to open the roof completely.
the 2009-present Fiat 500C is assembled in
Tychy, Poland
Toluca, Mexico
That is a REALLY BAAAAAAAAD HORN!!!!!
6:56 "very little vibrations transfer into the cabin" again hahahaha i LOL'd
