Absolutely the perfect song for the perfect breakup. I've sang along to this, I've cried along to this, and in 20 more years ill still be rocking along to this. A timeless masterpiece for sure. Poison did the damn thing with this one.
Hi I know u posted this 3 years ago but I'm gonna be 17 and im going though my first breakup and im crying my eyes out right now and does it get better?
I can remember my brother singing this to me every night ❤️ I was like 5. I always looked up to my brother! Still do. ❤️🙏🏻 thanks for raising me right guys!
This is the one of the only songs my grandpa loved. Stoic ass fella. Didn't like to show to much of his feelings but every time this song played I could see it in his face, All the feelings and pain he felt and played close to his vest came out like rushing water. Loved my grandpa, he was the best person I knew, and I hope he's in a better place
This is the perfect song to listen to when you're laying in bed, in the dark, you're not nessacarily tired, but you really don't want to do anything because you would rather think about the things that are making you feel kind of down.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this music! Music from the 70's-80's had heart. It came from the depths of their souls. It had real meaning and meant something to those of us that grew up on this. We hear a song and instantly remember what we were doing the first time we heard the song. My kids and I listen to it all the time. We have 'songfests' in my truck driving down the road. Groups today, cant compete with the groups of yesterday...

this was one of my dad's favorite songs. today is his 6th year death anniversary. I'll always cherish the memories and moments that we had. I miss you!
The problem with playing these kinds of songs is that whenever I turn up the volume, my middle-aged Dad stands outside my door and belts out the lyrics.
this was my moms favorite song, and a song she wanted played at her funeral, she passed when i was 17. Im 21 bout to be 22, and it still has me in tears every time.

Man, why can't we have music like this anymore? I love these kinds of songs. Poison, Led Zeppelin, and so many others are still holding up in 2018. Thank goodness, we need this song to make a comeback
I been listening to this since its first day on the radio back in tge 80s. I am a disabled veteran in Kentucky. I want all you younger adults and kids out there, black, white, brown, yellow, red to know that we volunteered for the military and we have disabled bodies because we fought or defended this great country for ourselves and for each of you! I am white and proud of it,just as each of you should also be proud of your heritage and your country yall! I love each of you,if you are feeling down remember Gary from Kentucky,an old rocker and disabled veteran loves you,and so does God. All us veterans love all of you out there and we don't care what color your skin is or how you look. Weather you are rich or poor! We veterans make life long friendships while we serve with every walk of life and we become brothers and sisters. This is what everyone in America needs to re do. I want to be all y'alls brother! I just now today found out about Bret Michaels brain surgery and I never knew about it until today! August 1st 2012 I also had a ruptured brain aneurysm and in a couple of weeks it will be my 10 year strokeversary and I just wanted to say God bless you Bret because I know how hard it is to come back from this. I had to learn everything all over again. I was 48 then and 58 now and I have to agree, we are both still above the dirt and we have so much to be thankful for!! I am forever thankful to God that we both lived to tell about it because most people don't survive this. ❤🙏 Please come to Alaska and do a concert up here because I would love to meet you just to talk to someone else who understands.
My husband and I were going thru the most difficult time of our marriage,17 years in. He had a friend come and play this song on acoustic guitar and asked me to dance on our deck....will forever be so special!
I'm 21 years In and I think it's past that point for me ..we still live together idk whats going on anymore I just get up and do it day by day ..my husband wouldn't ever do anything special like that though so at least yours trying
Going through some things so tonight, I somehow found myself curled up listening to this, with all three of my cats laying near me, and the rain coming down outside, knowing God will deal with it but for now, I just need to rest with some good music
i just suddenly remembered this song, out of literally nowhere. nothing prompted it, i was just sitting at my computer and- boom. the lyrics. they met with my mind. "every rose has it's thorn", that's all i needed to remember. and listening to this again, im remembering how i used to love music like this, my mom would listen to it all the time. i hope this leads me to finding more amazing music from the past that i've forgotten.
"Every rose has its thorn" Possibly some of the greatest lyrics ever. I love this song because its very true. People my age don't normally listen to this band but they should listen to some music with meaning.
When I was a teenager, there was one of those "80s rock hit CDs" commercials that used to come on all the time and this was one of the clips they used to play during the commercial. My best friend and I used to sing the chorus randomly all the time as a joke and still do to this day because of that commercial.
I'd give almost anything to hear my dad sing this with me while drinking cold ones together, again. Played this at my dad's funeral when I was 9 😭 RIP 1976-2011 Who still rock this song in 2019 October?

This song goes out to the kids down in south Texas who were shot in that school shooting every rose- the kids has its thorn- got shot and didn't survive RIP angels and I'll see you all when I get there all of you are heroes who will never be forgotten. Texas loves you and will miss you terribly
First time playing guitar, this is what I'm learning first. My goal is to be able to play christian music and I feel like this song is simple to help me learn the basics
One of the greatest hard rock ballads i have ever heard. It makes me think of my old lady friend who i met in the autumn of 2013. She deserves a red rose from this romantic tomcat 🥴😻❤️. Thank you for an awesome song, Poison. 🐈🎸😺🤘🐾
I know nobody will believe me but back in the '80s, my Grandpa did lights for a local Southern Rock band in PA called Oklahoma Dan Band sometimes they would run into Poison back before they made it big and still did local clubs. One day they were sitting in the woods throwing out song lyrics and my Grandpa said "Cowboys sing sad songs." It really makes me happy whenever I listen to this song knowing my Grandpa had a small part in it.
Dang it! I say that damn song reminds me of my daughter, my x- wife and one of my old girlfriends GAW ! For real always one of my favorites from poison.. rockin forever.. Miss y'all. Love E. Little Cook
Ever since I was younger I had herd this song its the best and the most true full about the way it is saying I have a lot of feelings and I am very much strong in my life time and I am very grateful for the time that I have been there before and I am so Shor that it's is coming to a end of the world as we all know it. Take care and enjoy life what ever you do just injoy it will.
So my name is rose and my favorite teacher used to play this song when we were in class. She'd tease me that I had thorns. I always glared at her but inside I loved it when she did that. Now, because of covid, she isn't at our school anymore. I miss her so much when I listen to this song.
My Brother got this album for Christmas and I got cocktails album (only liked one done Kokomo anyway mad Christmas 1989) 42 now I never thought in my life I would ring out the real meaning to this 30 odd yrs later I would understand this song much I missed my wife long before I left her I was with her for 23 yrs left her last yr.
I remember as I listened to this beautiful hit song back in the late 80s on the Voice of America SW radio in distant Ukraine! Have loved and known it since that time! Thanks for sharing this classical rock song with us here along with lyrics!
I met a bloke in Oatlands Tasmania Australia , ex racing car driver still had a few old like f3 style cars lying round. Never bragged about his life even though he had every reason too . He was dying at the time of cancer in his stomach. I met him at this time. His wife mentioned during conversation that he wrote this song and it was stolen from him. He died weeks after I met him, he had many a story to tell but didn’t.. very quite . I have no reason too doubt him .. Rest In Peace Kip !

this is one of my favorite poison songs
The meaning this song has. POWERFUL
This song goes out to the kids down in south Texas who were shot in that school shooting every rose- the kids has its thorn- got shot and didn't survive RIP angels and I'll see you all when I get there all of you are heroes who will never be forgotten. Texas loves you and will miss you terribly
I listened to this while Haley was acting minister at Peyton and Lucas's wedding. Thank you One tree hill
Every rose has its thorn , love this tune!
First time playing guitar, this is what I'm learning first. My goal is to be able to play christian music and I feel like this song is simple to help me learn the basics
I listen to this when I’m not around the homies.

Comment of the century. 😂😂😂
Reading this comment before listening made the song more funny less sad to listen to lmao
You got the wrong homies💯
One of the greatest hard rock ballads i have ever heard. It makes me think of my old lady friend who i met in the autumn of 2013. She deserves a red rose from this romantic tomcat 🥴😻❤️. Thank you for an awesome song, Poison. 🐈🎸😺🤘🐾
So true 😊😊😌
This song is essential for any serious 80's fan
Miss y'all. Love

This is what I call lyrics. Simply beautiful ❤️❤️
Love that electric guitar in that Song Break, brings the soul to life.
Ever since I was younger I had herd this song its the best and the most true full about the way it is saying I have a lot of feelings and I am very much strong in my life time and I am very grateful for the time that I have been there before and I am so
Shor that it's is coming to a end of the world as we all know it. Take care and enjoy life what ever you do just injoy it will.

One of the best songs ever
My mom sang this to me every night when I was younger, gives me the sadness
So my name is rose and my favorite teacher used to play this song when we were in class. She'd tease me that I had thorns. I always glared at her but inside I loved it when she did that. Now, because of covid, she isn't at our school anymore. I miss her so much when I listen to this song.
Listening to this in your car with your windows rolled down is such a surreal experience
2019 still a great song

I remember as I listened to this beautiful hit song back in the late 80s on the Voice of America SW radio in distant Ukraine! Have loved and known it since that time! Thanks for sharing this classical rock song with us here along with lyrics!
This songs been with me all my years, thru the good and bad💜😜
Played this at my great grandfathers funeral in November... I miss you grandpa... I still can't believe your gone..
Lost my dad in November , never thought I'd lose him at 18. Always listened to this song with him❤❤
The saddest song ever by Poison that I have ever experienced before!
Some people diss on Poison but only true talent could create this timeless masterpiece.
People who dis Poison lump em with pretensious Europe, but thats a mistake. Poison freaking rocks and defined the 80s with Halen, Jovi and Motley Crùe
Songs like these NEVER get old no matter what year it is, best eara of music FACT, nothing on this music of today
