I'm going to make a few of these to use as flooring in my duckling brooder. They're soft, easy to clean and hopefully allow poop and food messes to fall to the bottom keeping my babies drier!
Amanda, I believe that some bag manufacturers are making them more biodegradable, hence the deterioration. Is it heart breaking that a creation deteriorates so fast? If it's good for the environment then fine but I'd probably shed a tear. However, my floor mats show no sign of destruction (just for door ways). They do seem to capture a lot of dirt so, yay.
Plarn makes great tote bags! I made piano book bags for my sisters. You do have to account for the handles stretching a bit if a lot of weight is put on them.
Oooooo what a great way of recycling ♻️ 👏🏼 👌🏽

Good idea! They should last a while too, though I have heard that sun exposure can make them deteriorate faster.
I’m going to gratefully use this

I found this while looking for market bag patterns - what a great idea!!! ❤
Glad it was helpful!
I love that it looks like a pop tart!
Woah this is amazing! I’ve hoarded so many plastic bags so this should really help! :D
Glad it was helpful!
i really love this idea, this is so so so SMART
I wish I could remember who I learned it from. I think it was a TH-cam video.
Great work!
Thanks! 😁
Very cool. I want to try a loom knitting project with plarn
Good idea!
Plarn doesn't work very well on some looms (especially the circular and/or rectangular ones).
WOW 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
How clever!!!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼

This is a great tutorial thanks this is gonna help me a lot
Glad it helped! Have fun. ☺️
What size hook would you suggest?
Something around 15mm, or size P. I would experiment to see how tight you want it. I find that it's very hard to use if it's too tight.
So show us the start point and what the tiny squares are used for
Which tiny squares do you mean? Do you mean when the loops are folded up?
@@AmandaRoos1000 it was towards the end before you showed the final product I saw what looked like a bunch of cut up squares 0:42
What size of hooks du you use?
I usually use a P or 12mm or larger. With larger hooks I double up the plarn by using two strands instead of one.
Can you connect two mats together?
I would think so. It would probably work similar to stitching granny squares together.
The tying part has me so confused😫😫😫
Which part is that? Connecting the loops
Amazing way to re&up cycle. Save the planet stop uaşng sm plasticc 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
