Claudia's fear of being left alone by her family is what drove her into the darkness. Her fathers influence didn't help, but Claudia has always been twisted.
That's the thing about animated shows: you gotta have the duality of light-hearted comedy and character bonding contrasted with the violent and scary content for it to really hit audiences. I mean, Claudia's literally covered in blood in this clip, probably the most we've seen in the show thus far, and it hits hard because it's contrasted with her more comedic book-learned magician origins at the start of the series. She's not the girl we once knew. She's closer than ever to becoming the monster her father once was (though at least he eventually turned away).
God I knew Claudia was going to go over the deep end, but I didn't think she'd fall this far just to ensure that the only person she has left to love is incapable of leaving her ever again. This show just got darker and darker and I love it!
For those who are curious, no she doesn't kill Terry. Play it in slow motion, you can see the staff on the side of his head and not on it. Basically a fake out. But holy shit she's gone off the deep end... It makes me wonder whose blood is that and if Viren is dead or not. If he is, I dread on Claudia's reaction...
I think the blood on her actually belongs to Sir Sparklepuff. Also, Aaron confirmed that Viren is still alive this season. Considering how Aaravos told Viren that killing Sir Sparklepuff would make his resurrection spell permanent, I'm guessing Claudia made the horrifying choice without even realizing that she actually did save her father.
You know, that star humunculus isn't in the shot, maybe I'm overthinking, but Claudia's hair got whiter for a certain reason, and I doubt she's bloody for just catching fish for breakfast
@@patrickzalatoris3206 I think she is covered in blood because she used a spell. That' why her hair became white (usually that happens when someone uses dark magic)
After watching season 5 I thought that with this animation and plot it would make a great video game. I also love how there are so many possibilities for the main characters and how their stories can grow/change. Everything about this show is done impeccably and hopes this goes on as long as one piece lol
I wasn't expecting a teaser for season 6 to drop so early. It has only been a few months since season 5 dropped. This just popped up on my feed and I have never been more excited. I can't wait to see what happens in this season. And Claudia looks so terrifying now, looks like we will be in for one hell of a ride next year
Yeah I’ve always thought they were trying to rework Azula, but with greater Forsight and character development. I’d like to think that she is going to have a redemption ARC, but I feel like we are running out of time.
I really hope so! With the tonally indecisive nightmare that was the last season I just want the showrunners to finally make this show in the style want and not worry about marketing it to little kids.
I know Viren accepted death, but I was really hoping he'd somehow still be around. I've enjoyed every moment he was on the screen, and I really liked where his character arc was going. Still, while I'm sad all over again, this trailer looks great, and I can't wait for this next season!
👏To the team that made this happen👏 The animation, the music, the storyline…it’s all so amazing and this trailer left me wondering so much about what’s going to happen next. Anywho, just thank you for creating this series. I’m sure many others along with I love and appreciate your hard work and the passion you put into this amazing show.

oh,have bought Callum's Spellbook? that it talks about world and stuff and tells how make the strawberry muffen thing from season too and it and really nice fan book.
I feel so bad for Claudia. She’s lost so much during the first 5 seasons. She used to be so happy back in season one. But I don’t even know what to describes her as now.
Broken. I think a good word to describe her is broken. She lost a lot, started using evil magic which clearly did something to her brain, and almost no one is on her side. I’m honestly wondering if we’ll get something like with Audrey in Descendants 3 where she does all these bad things because of the things that happened to her and the evil magic urging her to do worse deeds, but then gets defeated and wakes up and wishes it had just been a bad dream.
As long as we get to see more Dragon Queen interactions with Dragon Prince. I love the scene where they both have their mother-son moments. Motherhood is a blessing.
She would definitely play an important part in this season like the last one. I'm sure we'll see an epic battle between her and Sol Regem for the throne.
Just a small correction... motherhood is a blessing _to some._ I can tell you, I'd never be able to handle one of those little gremlins (said with both love and hate), let alone two or three. My sister's triplets tire me out after one whole day. So, motherhood isn't for everyone, and calling it a blessing undermines the burdens it can come with. And even parents who wanted children can get tired and need some support, and it's okay for them to want a break.
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting for Claudia going full villain mode for 5 seasons now, and it looks like we are getting that in full here. she looked insane, terrifying, and I love it! also looks like its going to go back to being a bit darker, which I appreciate
👏Already, after a minute of trailer I’m already so FREAKING EXITED! The animation looks stunning and I can’t wait to see what the team has done this season! The stakes are rising… I do also wonder…what caused Callum’s wings to disappear? A spell? A wound? Some sort of magic corruption? Edit: He’s blindfolded so is it a ritual for connecting to the star arcanum? Some sort of thing related to the nova blade and diamonds? Anywho I can’t wait and we’ll see how this darker turn affects the plot… But Claudia, is she going to make Terry a puppet or use him for parts? She did say he would never leave her…
@yinthedraconequus4818 Same here. Plenty of people assumed the worst of her, expecting her to be a monster. They got what they wanted. Claudia needs therapy and possibly to live somewhere else Also, I don't think her mother is going to help. She hasn't been around since Claudia was a little kid
@@DragonGoddess18 I expected Viren to sacrifice himself to redeem her, either dying or becoming the main antagonist again, but now that he's gone I fear that there might not be a way back for Claudia.
I definitely agree 100%.... I just don't get it, WHY did he stay with a mean person even when he saw how cruel Claudia really is.... I want to ask him: "Terry, why did you stay with a mean person who was clearly evil too :(...??" He is...was...too innocent :'(
I was with two partners in the past not unlike Claudia. When you've been ostracized and marginalized, you often undercut your own value just for the chance to be with someone, even if they're awful for you. Terry's going to learn that lesson the hard way.
Eh use dark magic, its fun. As long as Tzeentch grants you endless wells of power and research to gather from. I do not care if I get screwed in the end, it would be worth it.
Viren's efforts are in vain alas. His attempts to bring Claudia back to the light is completely futile. Claudia's descend into madness and 100% villainy and point of no return is something I'm looking forward to. Either freeing Aaravos is one of her motivations or she only wants revenge and only revenge. Now I fear for Soren, when he sees his sister being too far gone. Also, did Claudia just kill Terry?
While Claudia is terrifying in her descent into madness, I’m way more curious about that last shot. Seems like something is gonna make the magic of the world fade with how the feathers of Callum’s magic wings dissipated. My bet is some kinda overpowered world ending spell Aaravos has cooking.
Also I remembered Harrows dream with Lady Justice in season 2, and how she had him put on a blindfold to teach him a lesson on how to govern fairly! Could also be a test from the celestial elves in order to get the diamonds and the nova blade.
I fell in love with the series the first time I saw the trailer. I have been a fan of this thing for all the seasons and I can't wait for the next one. Claudia's transformation is heartbreaking and the fact that she started on this path out of love for her father makes it even more so. I can't wait to see what happens in the next season.
i thought claudia was going to be depressed, but i never would dream she would be this far gone. i cant believe im saying it, but i hope she doesnt make it to season 7. as harsh as that sounds, i feel she cant take much more pain and dark magic. someone should out her out of her misery. seeing her turn from such a (somewhat) nice person into this monster, its truly painful.
Ngl, i think Claudia murdered Sir Sparklepuffs, due to the blood all over her and Sir Sparklepuffs potentially serving as a reminder of her dad's failed resurrection. #JUSTICEFORSPARKLEPUFFS
At first i thought that Season 6 would be released in january or february 2024 then i accepted some theory saying that it would be released in april but now i'm resigned to the idea that Season 6 will be released the 22th July exactly One Year after Season 5
Oh wow! This look breathtaking! Sooo excited for season 6!! Also, it's just ocurred to me that Claudia's arc has a lot in common with that of Jinx from Arcane and I'm all for it! Both shows are pure bliss❤❤❤
I had hoped that Claudia would redeem herself in the future seasons. But after seeing this I’m starting to lose hope for her. I fear see might end up paying the ultimate price. What do you think?
O... M... G... We were truly weren't ready for this... Super scared about Claudia, as when we first saw her, she was a bubbly antagonist who found a way to stay positive, while still being a mage of Dark Magic... but now... that Claudia is gone... and a paranoid, scared and terrifying Claudia has emerged after going down the dark path for too long... I've been calling about what type of magic would be focused on each Book, and since there will be seven books of Dragon Prince, I know exactly which type of magic will be the focus of the final book... Moon, Sky, Sun, Earth, Ocean, Stars... Dark Magic...
WHOA. I'm so excited but I'M SO SCARED RN. 😨😱 Actually I'm downright terrified of Claudia's appearance.....Season 6 is gonna be amazing I can feel it!! I can't wait!!! 😁
WAIT. Question for all of you guys. Why does Terry love Claudia for the way she is? (Or was actually who knows) Because based on what we've seen in the teaser trailer, it showed that Terry feeling VERY concerned for Claudia but I think deep down..... I think he's starting to be afraid of her.
I hope Claudia doesn't kill Terrestrius or do anything to harm him. She is very traumatized from losing her father a 2nd time, her leg, her brother, her friends. She's really lost so much. She still doesn't know The Being, jokingly called Sir Sparklepuff is her half brother. Plus, I still think Viren soul swampped King Harrow with his pet bird.
Viren coming to realize what Aaravos and dark magic is doing to her, realized the best way is to make sure he is fully revived so she doesn't fall further, only for him to sacrifice himself for her sake. I imagine Viren now can only watch as Claudia falls further down a horrific path that even he would never go. Viren has standards but not Aaravos and it's already too late for him to realize the hidden motives the Startouched Elf has for his daughter. Claudia first losing her mother, then Soren leaving her and their father seeing what their father was doing, and now unable to save her father Viren, she falls further down becoming more corrupted by Dark Magic every second as it slowly takes from her life and ever closer to becoming Aaravos's greatest pawn and disciple in the latter's return and revenge against those who have betrayed him.
It felt amazing watching this on the Geek Week livestream. I feel bad for Claudia. At the beginning, she had every opportunity to decide for herself. But now those same actions feel justified. She has become something akin to an animal backed too far into a corner. Something is going to happen. Something violent and irreversable. Viren's vision is manifesting. I cannot shake what Aaravos says though. "We are all made of stardust, held together by love for an instant.' Love brings us into this world. We are the product of stardust coalesced by the love of our progenitors. What happens when there is no love for a person then? There is no love holding that starduat together. Claudia, is no longer being held together. So she jas two choices: Go out with a bang. Go out with a whimper.
I seriously can’t wait for the epic next chapter of the greatest fantasy series on Netflix just because I’m anxious to learn the identity of the mysterious mushroom mage who healed Zubaya and, more importantly, to see how Claudia’s horror movie of an arc is gonna be tied up
@@garlicbreadwarlock6054 You sure? All the seasons correspond to the 6 primal sources and with the last one being Stars, that tells me this is the final chapter. I mean, I’m not complaining, I’m relieved to hear that because of other important elements that have yet to be wrapped up that I’m not sure 6 more episodes can do. I guess the better question is “What will the 7th season be titled?” Follow-up Question: What reason do you have to believe this?
@@garlicbreadwarlock6054 DARK. Duh. I’m sorry. It never occurred to me Dark Magic was a practice worthy of a title because it’s not technically a primal source
I've seen a few comments wondering about the blood in Claudia's hair. Spoiler from Season 5: Claudia lost a leg in her attempt to threaten/attack our heroes. She had used dark magic to become something like Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid, but when Rayla sliced off Claudia's tentacle, and her vial was opened by Callum, the magic was undone. She had to swim for the surface or drown, and was bleeding heavily. Possibly she swam up through her blood.
A part of me feels really bad for Claudia. She's so loved but she can't see it and she keeps making decisions out of fear and a need to control everything. But the more she tries to control, the more she loses. And Claudia doesn't even look human anymore. She's got blood on her hands and in her hair if you look closely. She's losing herself and Terry's trying to hold her together, but I don't think he can do it. She's too broken, both emotionally and physically, for Terry to fix her himself. Maybe together with Soren he can, but would she accept that or see it as another betrayal? Probably the latter. The saddest thing is that, even though they're enemies now, seeing Claudia like this would break Callum's heart and utterly obliterate Soren. I think that's what she's missing here. Soren has lost just as much as she has, he's just filled up the hole with friends and other people who love him. Claudia can't because I think there's a part of her that thinks she's the problem and she can't accept that Terry is there unconditionally. She's got the "leave them before they leave you" mindset or something close to that.
Aaaaaaaaah!!!!! Every time when we wait a realease date, a clip or a teaser of a Dragon prince series, it takes an eternity, we don't know in what month it's gonna be released
Wow. The full send on Claudia's descent into madness. I am here for it! I am curious about Aravos and how how Callum deals with his dabblings in dark magic.

TERRY DOESN’T DIE
@@alessianicolaescu-pb7tz Yeah that's what I'm saying
She went off the literal deep end last time in the finale. Now it’s the figurative deep end she’s gone off of.
I don’t know what she’s going to do for Terry but I can already tell it’ll be a fate worse then death
You know, that star humunculus isn't in the shot, maybe I'm overthinking, but Claudia's hair got whiter for a certain reason, and I doubt she's bloody for just catching fish for breakfast
Not even actually seeing if she truly done it, but all that blood on her you know it ain't good
@@patrickzalatoris3206 I think she is covered in blood because she used a spell. That' why her hair became white (usually that happens when someone uses dark magic)

Alright Claudia has entered her Azula breakdown era. Nice.
Yeah I’ve always thought they were trying to rework Azula, but with greater Forsight and character development. I’d like to think that she is going to have a redemption ARC, but I feel like we are running out of time.

I know Viren accepted death, but I was really hoping he'd somehow still be around. I've enjoyed every moment he was on the screen, and I really liked where his character arc was going. Still, while I'm sad all over again, this trailer looks great, and I can't wait for this next season!

oh,have bought Callum's Spellbook? that it talks about world and stuff and tells how make the strawberry muffen thing from season too and it and really nice fan book.
I feel so bad for Claudia. She’s lost so much during the first 5 seasons. She used to be so happy back in season one. But I don’t even know what to describes her as now.
Yandere
Depressingly psychopathic?
@@TranNguyen-qw6epthat would be a fun fight

Just a small correction... motherhood is a blessing _to some._ I can tell you, I'd never be able to handle one of those little gremlins (said with both love and hate), let alone two or three. My sister's triplets tire me out after one whole day. So, motherhood isn't for everyone, and calling it a blessing undermines the burdens it can come with. And even parents who wanted children can get tired and need some support, and it's okay for them to want a break.

Why does Terry love Claudia for the way she is? (Or was actually who knows) Because based on what we've seen in the teaser trailer, it showed that Terry feeling VERY concerned for Claudia but I think deep down.....

I mean it did show him surrounded by stars
I hope Claudia doesn't kill Terrestrius or do anything to harm him. She is very traumatized from losing her father a 2nd time, her leg, her brother, her friends. She's really lost so much. She still doesn't know The Being, jokingly called Sir Sparklepuff is her half brother.
Plus, I still think Viren soul swampped King Harrow with his pet bird.
IF THIS SHOW ENDS BEFORE WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT BIRD I WANT A RIOT!
Terry: Hear me out, I can fix her
It felt amazing watching this on the Geek Week livestream.
"We are all made of stardust, held together by love for an instant.'
Love brings us into this world. We are the product of stardust coalesced by the love of our progenitors. What happens when there is no love for a person then? There is no love holding that starduat together. Claudia, is no longer being held together. So she jas two choices:
Go out with a bang.
Go out with a whimper.
The way the first clip they show is Rayllum 👀
"Claudia......Claudia.......I'm here...."

I've seen a few comments wondering about the blood in Claudia's hair.
Spoiler from Season 5:
Claudia lost a leg in her attempt to threaten/attack our heroes.
WAAA WH WHAT NO I'M STILL RECOVERING FROM THE LAST SEASON (I'M SO EXCITED!!!)
Claudia's descent arc is so much better than the descent arc of another character from another series that is in no way related to this series (not sarcasm. Truly talking about a completely different show with no ties to this one as far as I know).
