@@megadiabrous His culture is both. Being mixed filipino & canadian means being accustomed to both. And that is why he was raised right by his parents
I love Lizzie (Azula) in being respectful and open minded to whatever. She doesnt deserve any hate. She's talented and great personality. As for Gordon, he may not speak full filipino language but he is so Filipino with his reactions and values. You can tell he's not one of those half filipino kids who doesnt even acknowledge their filipino roots. He often says he is one and call PH his homeland. He was raised right
It seems like Lizzy Yu is very kind and sweet at the same time. While watching her interviews I can sense that she is has a great personality. She is always respectful. She doesn't deserve the hate , I don't know why people body shame her. There is nothing wrong with her body.
I love how Gordan doesn’t know the actual ways to refer to the foods😂 literally me when my friends ask me about traditional Mexican dishes. I be like:give me a sec…shi-😀
I like this video and appreciate the effort. My only suggestion is this video would be 10x better if they had actual food to taste and throw in a blindfold to make things even more interesting 😅
For the Balut, you should eat the 16-day-old, not the 18-day-old one. The bones and feathers are not noticeable at all at that age. Or just swallow it immediately LOL
Balut is normally cooked at about 17 days. At this stage, bones and beak are soft. Also you shouldn't feel the feathers. Balut broth (the liquid inside the egg) is super yummy.
Yeah Filipino like mix mix i think most of the kids like that, When I was in New York Long time ago there where a place like Exhibited the Filipino cuisine on time square.
Oh my gosh the way they described the balut. My saliva is literally drooling🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Like gush. Especially when you put in some spicy vinegar then salt. Aaarrgghhh delicious❤❤❤ my favorite
the host is not giving a good description of the food and it makes it to where the food does not sound appealing! She is also not seem to have good feel for the food! But, I am glad lizzie is enthusiastic about the food and I agree I always try food before saying no.
When one asks about food, one must offer food for tasting, and not hypothetically asking if they would try it or not. It’s just playing for the Filipino audience. 😒 Make them try Jollibee, balut… etc. then that would be more compelling to watch, esp. for the non-Filipinos.
I love how excited Gordon was to talk about his culture, his face lit up!
Thats what i also notice❤
IM EXCITED BECAUSE THEYRE TALKING ABT MY CULTURE
nah his culture is Canadian. He just happen to have grown up eating those. It's like getting excited about pizza
same, im half filipino and i have eaten most of these foods

She’s really very open minded. Far from her character ❤
4:50 "Little candy noodles" must be macapuno hahaha. I'm thrilled that he knows his Filipino food. :D
White jello that is squishy must be nata de coco
Yes thats what im thinking too..macapuno😊
True! It's cute that he may not know how it's called but definitely loves it. He is so real
that's what I thought too haha
or probably shredded coconut
Wait so Zhao actor's wife is Filipino, that makes sense why he spoke "salamat" in another interview 😅
I first saw him in rush hour 1 and never knew that he did some theatre here.
Technically she's a Filipina*, he got it wrong 😅
@@gangstanongrata Filipino isn't wrong either
@@gangstanongrata filipino is way proper lol, we don't have pronouns in our language apart from ate and kuya lol.

Lizzy is definitely the opposite of Azula. She is so sweet, humble, respectful and appreciative.
exactly even acting shes a cuter version of azula
Exactly, I couldn't take her serious
When Balut was mentioned, Gordon instantly became a heritage bender and wanted to throw that heritage off right away out of fear 😆

zhao having ampalaya as his fav food of all was very interesting but makes sm sense at the same time 😂
Hats off to Gordon's mom for introducing him to enough Filipino food for him to get so excited about this! 😍
Respect to Azula for deciding to try anything! Also to commander Zhao as an honorary pinoy!
The Philippines is literally the fire nation because it's so darn hot here plus the bonus corruption lol.
I really hope she gets to stay on the show. There are rumors she is getting replaced.
@@MikkosFreewhaaaat??? I hope they retain her as Azula 😢
Googled the name of his wife, and her maiden name is Bulalacao. Kinda related to Sozin's comet 😂
Azula is so adventurous worthy to be the fire princess
I love when Gordon said "puto" puto is a filipino rice cake
Ohh.. in Spanish means something bad 💀
@@rftg1793 filipinos are aware of the spanish "puto" 😅 but the female equivalent of it is also a bad word in filipino hahaha
@@denasaki oh yeah I realized 😊
Must be confusing when a Filipino is eating a Puto and a Spanish person hears the word Puto 😂
@@rftg1793 I know you change letter O to A lol we use that word too in the Philippines lol
Gordon not knowing the proper names for foods is so relatable.
Zuko and Azula were going for it! Fire Airbenders are brave and more adventurous! ❤
Honorary with perfect Filipino accent.
I love Lizzy’s “let’s go for adventure” attitude!
The charm of Azula ģrows with every interview, and knowing shes Gaten Materazzo's girl as well
Prince Consort Dustin Henderson of the Fire Nation, motherf**ker. Steve Harrington would be both proud and terrified.🙃
No wonder Lizzie Yu got the part of Uzula, she will try everything 💥 💥 💥 🔥 🔥 🔥

Props to Tita Genalyn for feeding Gordon right 🥹
Wow! So nice to know a bit more about Ken Leung. Didn’t know his wife is Pinay.
Wish you could do this in person next time and have them try the actual food 😊😊😊
P. S. Lizzy Yu seems like such a fun travel companion ❤
LOL Gordon noodle candy is coconut meat shreds. First time I ever heard someone called it noodle candy.
filipinos are all around the world, like me im working here in germany... thanks for making avatar casts close to filipino fans
lizzy is azula holy moly, not scared of trying stuff many wouldn't 🥲🤲
How cute how gordon knows most of that food😊 and he is talking about it even first😅❤
I love that garden was so happy to explain his culture And he's extremely adorable
This would gave been 20000000000x better if you had rhe actual for them to try.
In Malaysia Halo-Halo is like Ais Kacang
Love that Dallas introduces himself as PRINCE Zuko and Lizzie is just like “I’m Azula”
As a filipino, i love this HAHa, GORDON REPRESENTTT ✨✨
my poor right ear 😂
Ken gives such tito vibes. and Gordon excitedly talking about puto is sooo cute 😭
It would be nice if they tasted the actual food

Right
Gordon before hearing what Balut is: I would try it.

Ayyy I didn't know Ken was Tito Zhao lol
Remember that Chinese dude in X-men more than 20 years ago? Wow, he's old now.
Ampalata?! Great choice Zhao!
i love ian’s laugh 3:01
They are all so adorable!
Same I’m Filipino too
Lizzie Yu is so not Azula in real life thank God 😂 Commander Zhao is nice too. They're all great actors
I could say the one explaining the food doesnt gave the whole info about the foods 😂😂 so they end up scared 😂😂😂
Aang: I don't eat meat. I'm vegetarian.
Gordon: 6:50
He might be talking about Lechon in that one, delicious 😋
gordons face when he saw halo halo his so cute
Why does Zhao looks like a gentle uncle here 😅
Yeah Filipino like mix mix i think most of the kids like that, When I was in New York Long time ago there where a place like Exhibited the Filipino cuisine on time square.
cant wait for season 2 and 3
They should’ve had them try the food and not just talk about it, like show us not tell us what even is this?? 😵💫😵💫
Azula actress is so cute and sweet.
"Wipe yourself off, you're bleeding."
I would never eat balut. 😂 I am Pinoy, but I just can’t. 😢
Honestly I love their reactions with Balut. Always loved it but used to only get the pinoy version until I was curious about the fetus 😂
Sisig's main ingredient is pig brain, to make it tasty. So gordon was right
It's not MAIN per se but optional
It's actually prok face. The brain is only the topping. Modern sisg replaced the brain with either egg or mayonnaise.
Ken Leung is really good zhao...
“ i love puto” SOO CUTEEE

You guys were so amazing!!!!!!!

Oh no.... The Balut made me feel a bunch of not so great things... what in the world O_O
OK but...................tell me why out of all the other most bomb filipino dishes out there Ken picks Ampalaya to be his favorite- 🙃😭😭😭💀
Appa pretending to be Azula!
Love Azula here!
no way he like ampalaya..... maybe its just an old ppl dish fr cuz my mom and lola love it but i despise it......
Aang already going thru puberty how they gonna finish in time
is it just me or anyone who also experience this video has broken audio?
its just u
eatng balut is much safer than eating isaw. and halo halo means to stir everything in the cup until it's mixed well
Commander zhao is a menacing villain
I thought there's something wrong with my airpods lmao
Y’all should’ve had the food ready for them to eat 😅
Well aside from us Filipinos, Vietnamese peepz also eat balut ❤
Dallas skin’ so sun-kissed
Love this interview 😊❤
no one talks about the shitty audio?
You should get a balut that has small duckling so there's no feather
Azula girl would eat anything and everything. Azula yip yip!
🤣
Sisig>Adobo>Sinigang>Ampalaya
😂😂😂
Lizzy is a vibe
Zhao saying honorary 😂😂😂😂
I suck at this, I don’t have an open minded pallet.
You should have brought foods and should have let them try to eat it on the set. :)
The thumbnail!!
Amazing 😍😍
The only mistake they made is that they did not have any of these food on set😢
When is Industry season 3 coming back??
the audio is too low!!
Should have let them tried the actual food
❤ AZULA!
Would like to see them try it. But the authentic once not the "americanize"

Balut is delicious but I feel bad eating it.
